Sanchez is wasting his best years at Arsenal, and Ozil is the laziest most useless player I've ever seen lol. I'd seriously put a bid in for Sanchez before the window shuts.

Hazard-Morata-Sanchez

YES PLEASE!

Remember him saying a while ago he'd prefer to stay in London as well when he wanted out to begin with. That front 3 would tear apart any team, he'll end up at city or abroad though i think.

It's easy to say from our point of view but from arsenals just like costa situation. if a player doesn't want to be there ben cash in. Even to a rival, they could cash in and get lemar and Nzonzi and for me that's be brilliant business for them. plus we get Sanchez, now they have unhappy player no doubt spreading negativity ( like me on here )

We should have a bid ready for Sanchez by time this games finished, save him, what a mess that club is, Liverpool have one strength and its speed and arsenal gave ball away 3 times to be countered, πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ ox was out his depth as wingback, conte wouldn't allow this thou.

Why do guys want Sanchez? I prefer a younger option like Belotti; he has started scoring again this year. Besides I don't see Belotti being a flash in the pan.

28 Aug 2017 07:52:03
Sanchez can play wide which is main draw and has pace, belotti scored a stunning goal yesterday and seems on fire again, 100m thou.

who doubted morata?, so far in the league, 2 goals, 2 assists, off side goal, i have no doubt that he will be an upgrade on costa over a full season, he may not push and foul people but he will out score out assist and link up better than costa.

Ummmm, hope you're right - shouldn't judge him until he's played a few games with Eden.

Morata started very well but to have realistic opinion it will take at least the whole season. Fingers crossed that he will become what we are expecting.

I have really enjoyed watchin Morata play so far this season. He seems to glide about the pitch effortlessly. Great hold up play and his ability to bring others into play has been quality. His movement on and off the ball has been something we have been missing for a while as well his areal presence ( something we have lacked since Drogba) . Costa was a great goalscorer but I think in Morata we have the full package, 2 goals and 2 assists in his first 3 games speaks volumes to how well he has done so far. Can't wait to see him linking up with Hazard. Exciting times ahead!

Is it just me or have we all got used to seeing Diego Costa . yesterday Williams was bashing Morata, no doubt Morata given his superior movement.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2017 14:59:37
i don't get the costa is a better goal scorer comments i may be wrong but over the last 3 seasons costa scored 20 league goals in his first season,12 in his second, and 20 last season, and 2 goals in 2 seasons of champions league, to me that's just ok not great, in a time when all the top strikers in the world are scoring between 30-50 goals, and costa at nearly 29 years old has had 3 20 goal a season, seasons, morata at 21 years old played and scored in a champions league final, and if you compared both players only up until the age of 24 then morata is much much better, in terms of the teams played for, morata- juventus, real madrid, chelsea, spain, and the goals, finals played, i have no doubt that morata can and will out score costa, in the same amount of games and will take our attack to the next level, with his link up and movement, and he has room for improvement over the next 5-7 seasons to become 1 of if not the best striker in the world, similar to lewandowski.

I notice here that any comment not in support of our current transfer strategy/ style is seen as being negative. We have all become accountants with excuses of "not spending for the sake of it".

To be at Real and Barcelona level, we need have many world class players and they don't come cheap especially in today's market. Hazard seems the only high end world class/ game changer we have now and I'm sure wouldn't have got a Harzard with this our current transfer strategy today.

Yes we can win the league but we won't sustain such strength for long without the worldies. I'm sure we would be stronger with Ousmane Dembele, Bellotti, VVD, etc but we won't pay for them. You know what, another team will pay and we continue to be 2nd best.

My point is we must spend big on few right world class players to compete with the best world best teams and grow our brand. Go and check the effect of Neymar on not PSG but league 1. We became a force through big spending of RA and it takes such to further investment to upstage the big boys teams like Barcelona and co.
It will be down to Conte's genius for this our team to have a cracking run in UCL this season.

Finally we now a coach who can build such dynasty in Conte and he may think twice if such clubs that are ready to spend big cone calling.

Good post ilo with some positive suggestions.
Last year for example we added players to our squad who have been truly sensational and we didn't pay ridiculous transfer fees!
This year, although early in the season, we have so far signed three outfield players. There performances at this stage of the season give us optimism that the club have yet again made quality signings and again not at stupid prices.
We have to realise as supporters that the club will sign quality players but we will not pay over our valuation.
It's called being realistic and it shows that maybe the clubs business model has changed.
The club and the vast majority of fans are optimistic!

The only problem with building a dynasty is that the manager has to be committed to stay - and Conte will be leaving next summer.

Miss Wood. You are wrong. He and his family on occasions eat at my son's restaurant. He and his family are very nice people and he made it clear that he is very happy at Chelsea and loves London.
So, media people and fans let's look forward to the best manager in the world building something special that we can al be proud of!

Miss Wood, you are ilinformed.
Mr and Mrs Conte they live in wonderful England and their daughter will be attending school in the U. K. From this year!

TomB, you are right as far as you go. Obviously, my name is not Darren Wood (that lightening quick full-back from the 70s/ 80s?! ), I am of Italian descent as the Eds could confirm from my surname.

Not much to say about today's game except it was nice of Everton to give Courtois time to top up his tan! Everton? Top 4? Do us a favour - no wonder Barkley wants to leave.

Tbf they have a big list of injuries as well as having to play on Thursdays in Europa. They will be around there once they get their full squad back i reckon. Let's just hope we take Barkley from them🀞🀞.

They've played 3 games in seven days, was always going to be difficult for them. But like contes said we could of been more clinical.

At last a target man who can head the ball, something we have been seriously lacking since Drogba departed. Everton looked jaded and I wish we could put three or four against teams like this. I still do not see Bats as a striker or a team player at the moment.

27 Aug 2017 18:14:18
The problem with Bats is that he is trying to impress too much rather than playing his natural game.

27 Aug 2017 15:29:41
Good game, no reason to waste more energy than required, and we never really looked pressured by Everton. I'd say our entire starting 11 played fine, Kante was on fire yet again, however, as was Fabregas IMO. Batshuayi seems way too selfish, and has done so ever since joining us, I think. I do understand why, but I simply thinks he wastes almost every chance he gets, and I'm starting to grow impatient with him, tbh, although I think he's got a very, very big potential, and I'd like to see him get a big Chelsea career - I'm just not sure that it'll ever be though. Bakayoko did decently after coming on, lost a few balls, but nothing extraordinary, and seemed to be decent in the build up play, combined with a good shit, I'd say he did well. AC, too, did fine after coming on, won the ball a couple of times, and I don't believe he lost it.
Overall a good game, where we were able to rest our players, which will be one of the keys to a successful season.

Christensen and bakyoko drop to bench cesc and Pedro start. Morata starts again, can see him getting a goal possibly 2, worry cesc will allow gyfi and Rooney too space between lines, come on Chelsea.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

27 Aug 2017 12:50:40
I absolutely hate Cesc starting games, don't get me wrong he's a good player but he just doesn't suit our two man midfield. Hopefully we have a lot of possession as then it's less of a problem. c'mon CHELSEA!

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Aug 2017 12:57:50
Cesc would be really effective between Kante and bakyoko with a hazard willian Pedro up behind morata but lose out on width. Just a worry when Everton will effectively be playing two no10's n he allows runners,

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Aug 2017 13:17:08
MM, there's just a pretty big problem to that formation - it requires a 4-man defence, which I'm not sure we'd be perfectly suited to ATM.

The fact that Rudiger can go forward unlike Cahill . is awesome.

Agree2 Disagree0

27 Aug 2017 16:02:31
Chelsea4life, you just read my mind. Rudiger is also more stable in possesion than Cahill, May be aerially in set pieces Cahill offers better.
I'll pick Rudiger for my team over Cahill.

Chelsea have got 2 very good defenders in Rudiger and Christensen.
