AVB does want to play a more attacking fast paced football and thats starting to show, however i feel work on the defence is needed we've always been strong but through balls are kiling us at the moment, i feel we need a better holding midfielder to fill the gaps when cole and the much improved bosingwa push forward.. hope to see 2 more signings, go on the blues

Believable5 Unbelievable1

The defence is struggling because the centre backs are a bit slow and thay're playing a higher line than they are used to. Should be a lot better off when daves back

Ed, do you think we'll go back in for Modric or make a bid for Moutinho? Thanks.

Can't help but have the feeling match of the day don't like Chelsea very much

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Agree, motson a t**t first he reckons torres weren't going for the ball, then blames brani for the goal(hilario totally at fault) all bs

Agree0 Disagree0

Been that way for a while now, bit painful sometimes, especially as there's so much love for Man Utd and Liverpool. They didn't say anything about Mata's performance today or show much of him in the highlights, but he was outstanding when he came on. Caused havoc across the pitch in between the defence and midfield much like Zola used to. Ramires and Bosingwa (Despite some woeful crossing) had a solid games as well, not all doom and gloom.

Agree0 Disagree0

To me, they made it seem like Norwich played much better than they did. Apart from the odd chance, Chelsea seemed rather composed to me. Obviously still a few things to iron out, but we thoroughly deserved our 3 points in my eyes. Very impressed by Ramires all game, and Mata when he came on seemed to find those gaps inbetween players very well, linking play. Nice to see that although he's prodominantly a left sided player, he was changing wings and moving in to the middle too. Great versatility and hard to play against, unlike Malouda and Kalou. Nice to see Lukaku get a solid run out too.

Agree0 Disagree0

But guys what is there to like about Chelsea? Its like Gordon Greko or the Tories musing "why do people hate us?" its obvious THERE IS NOT ONE REDEEMABLE FEATURE

Agree0 Disagree0

We are winners, now go back to your own page.

Ed, i like the new attacking philosophy AVB is trying to impose on the team but it will take a lot of time for these players to adapt due to our previous boring pattern of play. i'd like to know your own opinion on this. {Ed002's Note - I guess folks perhaps don't always see things in the same way. AVB will bring a very different style of play but will sometimes need to adapt to the opposition. You will see a mis this year.}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Mis? much improved system?

Agree0 Disagree0

To play the kind of football AVB wants to play he needs a right winger with silky skills and an attacking midfielder. You cant expect to knock the ball around as quick as Man utd an Barca when u got players like Lampard and Mikel taking an eternity to release the ball.

I think we are fine on the right wing using Sturridge, he looked great when playing there in preseason {Ed018's Note - agreed i suspect he will be starting in that position when he returns}

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Chelsea very poor today , result flattered them, play mata instead of malouda and make Mikel a ball boy

Agree0 Disagree0

You cant be serious, would you not rather see an out and out right winger there, someone who can get to the bar line and cross with there right instead of having to predictably cut back in on to there left all the time? We need a right winger plain n simple n if not a right winger then a more consistent right back.

Agree0 Disagree0

The way we are hoping to play this season is fast, passing football. AVB his said countless times he wants to keep the ball on the ground as much as possible so getting to the byline and crossing into the dosent really fit.

Agree0 Disagree0

It seems to me that nobody pays attention during our games. the way we play doesn't necessarily need to have out and out wingers, the full backs overlap and provide said crossing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why how often do you see Bosingwa get down to the bar line and cross in a peach for either Torres or Drogs, once so far this season. No consistency in his play, we'd be fine if he could produce that sort of quality week in week out but he does'nt. And just because Avb wants to play pretty football does'nt mean it wnt make a more posotive difference say if he had a more right sided player that he could alternate with Mata. Tevez would be perfect for Chelsea. Just imagine a front 3 of Mata, Torres and Tevez. Way better than having Sturridge there, not that I dislike him just want the best for our club, and it makes my teeth itch when I see how well United are playing compared with us.

Last January Chelsea fans were all told that the David Luiz deal was off Benfica wanted 30million for the Brazilian and could not reach an agreement with Chelsea for the defender. But then at the last minute totally out of the blue, it was announced that he was on his way to London for a medical after the 2 clubs had agreed on a 24million deal. The same can be said about Fernando, Liverpool were adamant that they were not going to sell the Spaniard, but again they were forced to retreat at the last minute. If anybody is thinking that the Modric saga is over then they are being very naive. The way Chelsea conduct there business is very clever, and even if for some miraculous reason Modric did become unavailable then i'm more than sure that there will be a perfect plan b in place. Less than 5 days to go peeps until the window closes, so lets all sit back and watch the magic happen. KTBFFH

I like your rational on the transfer market ,it made me happy and excited , good man

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd love to hear from the pathetic individual that disliked my comment lol. Reason being, what exactly is there to disagree with? We deal with our most expensive transfers last minute so we can get them as cheap as possible fact Thanks for the comment so far glad to make your day my friend. KTBFFH

Anyone know if chelsea vs Nowrich is on T.V?

Believable2 Unbelievable1

The 15:00pm kick offs never are, just download sopcast and you will be able to watch them on your laptop or whatever u use.

Agree0 Disagree0

Live streaming on myP2P

Agree0 Disagree0

Is the sopcast thing good quality or does it keep stopping and buffering? thanks

Agree0 Disagree0

Its doesnt keep stopping if u get a good feed which are quite easy to find on p2p. Having a decent graphics card aswel helps. I watched all the pre season games on there without any issues.

What about Franck Ribery? Any chance of Chelsea signing him this transfer window?

Believable4 Unbelievable3

Franck Ribery is 28 and would not be good for the future.

Any players that we are heavily linked with/realistically stand a chance of getting before the window shuts? I think we need at least one more signing, preferably a creative midfielder or a right winger. Someone like ganso, moutinho or krasic, possibly a move for someone like robben.
Saying that i am very happy with the new signings :)
Lukaku- looks exciting and could become one of the worlds best
Mata- talented and has the means to become as good as david silva was at man city
Romeu- barce graduates are often good (iniesta, fabregas, alcaranta etc) so hopefully will reach the same standard
p.s hope we dont retry and sign parreira from porto we have plenty down the left (cole, Bertrand, van aaholt, mata, malouda, kalou & benayoun) but our right flank is lacking (bosingwa, ivanovic, benayoun and possibly a converted sturridge being our only options)
p.p.s great work ed

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Just fyi iniesta is not a barca graduate.

Agree0 Disagree0

So being at barca from the age of 12 doesn't qualify you as a barca graduate? dumbest guy....

Agree0 Disagree0

My mistake, i was under the impression that he was signed from some spanish team.
