Hello Ed. Will Essien's future be up to the board in the summer or to the manager? Asking because I fear Mourinho would want to keep him and I don't think that's a good idea at all. {Ed002's Note - Mourinho?}

Just seen Michael Essien and Thibaut Courtois embracing each other. Was keen to hear their discussion. Sorry guys to break your heart, both Mou and Falcao ain't coming.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I have that feeling to, they are not coming to Chelsea.

I would prefer Klopp. Michael Laudrup as alternative. Mourinho is not exactly doing too good with an entirely worldclass Madrid squad.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pellegrini for me too have a great crop of youngsters coming through and not sure how much of a chance Jose will give them

Agree0 Disagree0

BRING BACK CARLO! Capital letters help me get my point across. {Ed002's Note - I heard recently that Cudicini loving life in LA.}

It would be great if we could use KDB in a swap deal, for someone like Gundogen, Reus, Hummels.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Totally agree. My prefrence would be Gundogan. Totally dictates the midfield. Better than anything we have at the moment.

Lukaku is going to be great but I feel like if we don't change our system he is going to struggle at chelsea. he thrives on through balls and open space and how many times do you remember seeing torres through on a through ball. lukaku struggles in tight areas and link up play. those skills will come with time I hope but for now I think he would just become isolated like torres and ba at times. we either need to change systems with the new manager or buy players like aguero or tevez that can play in tight spaces.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agreed. We hardly ever play through balls and when we do they're not usually the best. Hopefully both Lukaku and the rest of the team will adapt slightly. One thing I think Lukaku may need to work on blasting his finishes as he always tries to place it and it never seems to come off.

that creepy referee who stood in our match against Liverpool really cost us troubles, we would have been in good position by now, all the same let's hope United defeat Arsenal tomorrow and well done Wigan.

Hazard will cause a lot of harm tomorrow, is pay back time. let's go boys, kick them out

Spurs drawing has made tomorrow so crucial. What ever happens until the end of the season is in our hands.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Spurs were all over the place and Wigan got everything right. Spurs were lucky with the draw.

Agree0 Disagree0

All you can ask for at this point of the season is for your future, be it European qualification, fighting for the championship or avoiding relegation, to be in your hands.

A win tomorrow puts our future in our hands! It's a massive, massive, game!

Agree0 Disagree0

Wigan played well. I guess it's that time of year again.

Chelsea's best players of the season:

1. Mata. This fella has no flaws to his game and his ceiling in developement is very high. A genuine European football superstar.

2. Luiz. No player has improved more since last season than David Luiz. A probable future captain of Chelsea not only proved he's capable to dominate midfield, but finally started playing great in his primere position.

3. Hazard. First season is hard in England for anyone. You may as well ask Christiano Ronaldo. Comparing their debut season's in EPL, Hazard is already having the better of Ronaldo. Sky is the limit is a cliche, but it applies perfectly to Hazard's potential.

4. Cech. With our defence struggling for consistency, pace and concentration, a man keeping us afloat in so many games this season is Peter Cech. The most reliable man defence keeps the best young keeper in the world in Madrid. Enough said.

5. Ramires. Finding the fifth is probably the hardest as I only see four stand out performers. The others are on loan. But Rami has got something that none other in our squad has. Tenacity, 100% commitment, incredible work rate. He just never stops, does he?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Oscar has impressed, I belive we have a real talent in him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mata is truly world class but he does rely on his left foot to much. Hazard has hit a 30yrd screamer with his left, a dribble and finish against west ham with his left and that left footed thunderbolt in one of the cups. Hazard is 2 footed and that is something Mata really struggles with.
Mata is a better passer but Hazard is going to be a top 5 player in the world in my opinion with time.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mata could have a bit more pace to his game and Ronaldo was 18 when he went to Man Utd, Hazard was 21 at the beginning of this season

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with everything said but I would have Azpilicueta 5th instead of Rami. Azpi has been excellent, in my opinion

Agree0 Disagree0

Azpi at 5 for me

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree that Azpilicueta has had a great debut season. He's not as defensive minded as Ivanovic but a lot faster and much better getting forward. I feel next season with a little bit more work on defensive capabilities and he'll be up there with the best RB's.

Agree0 Disagree0

I am sorry, but I am not a fan of Azpiliqueta at all. I understand why he is popular with most fans, but his defensive shortcomings are as bad as Glen Johnson's are for Liverpool and nation. Ivanovic is a much more reliable defender. I struggle to see the advantage of his attacking qualities over defensive faults. We have so many talented attackers up front. I would much rather prefer a hard nosed tough defender in that position.

JG

Agree0 Disagree0

You must be delusional if you're comparing him to Johnson. Azpilicueta isn't anywhere near that bad defensively. Perhaps he's not as good as Iva on the defensive side but he's a lot quicker which is usually required in RB's. Not to mention 100% better than any of the actual RB's we have/had. How many slow RB/LB's are there? Hardly any. They have to deal with the pace of wingers.

Agree0 Disagree0

You can call me whatever you like. Azpi's best qualities are in attack. Defensively he's average at best. Nowhere near Ivanovic. Yet, he takes the RB spot and it is what I do not like as he weakens our not so reliable defence even more. In a long run he'd be a great rb, I believe. But i'm judging this and this season only.

Compare him to Ashley Cole defensively and where would you rate him then? Or Zabaleta?

Agree0 Disagree0

But I expect u think mikel is great haha. Azpilucueta never gets done down his own flank.

Agree0 Disagree0

Azpilicueta is reliable, nothing else, he crosses like school boys and his touch is awful, he relies on speed to get past defenders

Agree0 Disagree0

He's not the best and not the worst. I haven't seen him destroyed in any matches. He's also only 23 adn can still improve alot. I don't think Cole was as good as he is now at 23. And considering Iva isn't a RB, Azpi is the best RB we've had in years. Bosingwa. Need I say anymore. {Ed002's Note - Chelsea also have Wallace.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I meant that he was an improvement on what has always been our weakest position in terms of quality. I do realise that we have other players that play there. But Wallace is only 18.

Agree0 Disagree0

Never meant to have this post about Azpiliqueta. I like the kid and i'd be delighted as much as anyone of you if he developed into a great right back. But he ain't a top player, yet. Let alone top 5 performer of Chelsea this term. I'd say Rami, Lamps, Cahill, Oscar are having a better campaign than Azpiliqueta.

Hey Ed. Are Chelsea interested in any Danes? {Ed002's Note - Give me a break.}

So KDB is refusing to join leverkusen and prefer to join Dortmund instead.

Do you still see Chelsea and leverkusen can reach to agreement and Schurrle would likely be a Chelsea player?
