WHAT A BRAND! Same team, same personnel - 3 consecutive UEFA Champions league title. Who said that wannabe winners shouldn't emulate their model? TALK TO THE HAND.
My second favourite team Real Madrid.

Hahahaha. Why do you hate them? They didn't steal no one's dinner. I have always liked them. If Chelsea ain't in the UCL- Real Madrid becomes my team. Just like if Nigeria ain't in a competition, my love goes to Brazil and England.

Glory hunter. 2nd favorite team? Proper football fans don’t have 2nd favorite teams. How old are you? 10 .

I hate the sentence 2nd favourite team! How can anyone have a second favourite team? That’s like saying when your teams not doing very well you will go and support someone else.

Guys, I have to admit to a soft spot for my old team Dulwich Hamlet.
Hope they get there ownership and ground issues sorted out asap.

Agree2 Disagree0

27 May 2018 10:29:43
off course u can have a soft spot for another team. I live in Gillingham so they are equal to Chelsea for my love. I also have a soft spot for West Ham because of the 1966 World Cup and Spurs because they were my dads team and I loved the greaves Gilzean era. Wouldn't call myself a supporter of either Spurs or West Ham but don't mind seeing them do well. But not against us off course, then my soft spot turns to hate.

If it's only kids that have 2nd favourite teams then I completely agree that I am a kid. I like Real Madrid much more than any other English team asides Chelsea. I think they are brilliant club and a great team.

Sorry guys Real Madrid is a brilliant club with a brilliant president and shouldn't apologise for them being rich and successful. Their brand is extraordinary. If you doubt it, try winning three consecutive UCL titles in this era. Great things come to those that appreciate great things.
*Fernando Redondo's pass to Raul (that sunk ManU) still plays in my head.
I would love Chelsea to win like that.

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed001's Note - brilliant club with a brilliant president? They got big and rich off the back of money stolen off the poor by a dictator who was on the side of the Nazis. They have prospered on the back of government protection and aid. They are the Spanish equivalent to the Eastern European sides that had secret police involvement to create their legacy. Not sure what is brilliant about that? Do you think West Ham getting a virtually free stadium is brilliant or do you think it is unfair that they get one when everyone else has to pay for their own? Because Real Madrid's old training ground was falling apart, with the club under immense debts, so it was bought off them by the local govt, at a massively over-inflated figure, which paid off their debts and gave them money to invest in players. Oh and they were also given a brand new, much bigger and better equipped training ground as part of the deal. All this in a country where large portions of the population have nothing and is in major financial difficulties, yet still they propped up an ailing team. I won't even get into Dr Fuentes, who was employed by the club (amongst many others to be fair) while also being the doctor to provide Lance Armstrong with 'help'. It's ok though because all the samples pertaining to Real Madrid were ordered to be destroyed by the Spanish courts....}

28 May 2018 11:40:59
With all due respect Ed; Is Real Madrid the only club with a 'history'? I would say NO. But even if they are the only club with a history, I would say they have utilized their 'talents' from that history and have done exponentially well with it - so for that reason, they are brilliant.
No club comes into a competition arena with his past or history written on its forehead; if not some teams will be made to play twelve against eleven man 'favoured' Real Madrid.
What's the guarantee that if some football clubs were in Real Madrid's shoes then - they won't do worse (from the Nazi thing) cos you can't predict the human behaviour at any point in time.
A man that's born rich/ helped owes no man no apologies.
I would rather be lucky, helped and make 90% good results than not helped, be hardworking and make 30% good results. I think Real Madrid is brilliant cos they have done very with the 'helped' riches that they have received.
If favour and help isn't sweet- try hard work.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - so you are purely a gloryhunter then. Nice to know, but I will stick to supporting a club because it is my club, not because of what they win. At least we all know where you stand. Your choice is different from mine, that's all. I would rather earn what I have than be handed it on a plate.

As for most of the rest, I don't know what you are trying to say with the twelve against eleven stuff, it makes no sense, but I am sure that is probably a language issue mate. No matter.}

28 May 2018 12:03:55
Glory hunter yea you could call me that, I have no issues with it.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 May 2018 13:09:15
When your team looses a game, I bet you get angry. Where does the anger come from? If not that hunger for glory (we all wanna win and keep winning- it's human nature) . Show me a man that doesn't love glory and I show you a man that's a hypocrite.
Please I love to earn things but I wouldn't refuse help esp when I can't do something. Objective matters to me a lot if not why the struggle and work in the first place.
Chelsea isn't the only football team that I like but I like Chelsea the most. I live in Nigeria and we have football teams here too that someone can like but I know what it costs me to see all Chelsea games, buy their merchandise, travel to see some games.
I guess it wouldn't have been an issue if I liked a lower team rather than Real Madrid. Cos its R/ Madrid (a big successful team) that makes me a glory hunter. You guys are funny.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - no it is glory hunter because you choose a team that wins because they win, not because you identify with anything about them other than that. You don't care about anything other than they win things.

As for anger, no why would I? It's a game. I am not some teenage brat who has to rage quit games either, because they are games. There are more important things to worry about. Like morals, doing the right thing etc.}

28 May 2018 15:32:52
You are right, 'Anger' isn't the right word. One thing I know is that emotions and football are symbiotic brothers- can't keep one away from another. Football- is a. Powerful game- it messes up even the smartest, oldest and wisest of men.

Really think Michy can be the answer to our striker needs. His confidence is finally on a high from playing well for Dortmund as well as his World Cup selection. We just need a manager that believes in him. I think it would be a mistake to sell him. Thoughts?

27 May 2018 10:15:51
I agree Matt, I have said on here many times what a good player he is, a real fox in the box and a player who will score that goal when nothing or no one else can. Remember WBA away to win the title last season? If we had kept him he would of found a way to score past Huddesfield etc and we would of made top 4. Sadly he was just another in the long list of players Conte discarded or fell out with.

27 May 2018 13:08:14
G8 u have always been right about him- thank goodness he's doing well. Now he's more matured to be playing in the Chelsea's first team but before now all you see are glimpses of his ability which we didn't need then.

According to @Gazzetta_it, Eden Hazard awaits with open arms the arrival of Sarri and has been in regular contact with compatriot and friend Dries Mertens who has said the most extraordinary things about the Italian manager.

Could we appoint the Fulham manager if they don't go up? ex Chelsea player who's name I cannot spell

appoint jody morris with JT as assistant if Villa don't go up?

It depends how you want to see it, there are other, websites that say his napoli team play the best football in the world and its all his doing, different articles different opinions, i guess we got a choice the negative article or the positive one, i've personally chosen the positive version.

Hi Cat
To be fair the article states that Sarri is a fantastic manager. It doubts the ability of our players to have the positional awareness and continuous work ethic to be able to play in his style. Watch the videos attached to the article I personally can't see our current group of players pulling it off. Hope I'm wrong as I think Napoli play great football and would love to see us emulate it.

{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Review Of The Day 26th May 2018

Believable0 Unbelievable0

26 May 2018 06:25:13
I don't want to be negative, but if we do appoint Sarri it's a huge mistake in my opinion.

This is a guy who has had a few good seasons with Napoli, and not won any major trophies. Plus all of the baggage and unwanted press he carries with him. And let's be fair we all know how the media sound us out, Conte was presumably being sacked in September in his first season in charge.

I can only see this turning ugly, especially when the press etc turn on him. If it all got to Conte, Sarri will implode.

Conte is a winner, Sarri is a good coach and plays decent football. But I'm not happy to have him as our new manager at all.

Believable8 Unbelievable7

26 May 2018 08:30:09
FFS The guy is not appointed yet and you already give him a stick. and then you say press is negative, just look at our own fans.

26 May 2018 09:14:54
What’s the point of saying you don’t want him at the club after he is appointed?
Expressing the reasons why you don’t want a player or manager are justifiable in my book!

Agree4 Disagree7

26 May 2018 10:17:17
This whole site is people’s opinions on who we want why we want them and who we wouldn’t want etc so opinions etc are not than welcome, The media will love Sarri because he will play good football and is over optiniated and has views that should of been left in the 50’s, he will need Chelsea media team to keep a close eye on him in that sense, but from a football point of view talking about him not winning anything, he is in a league we’re Juve run away with it last seven years and has pushed them playing great football, and same people who judge his trophy cabinet are same ones who wanted poc from spurs who every semi final or bit of pressure has folded, as a club Chelsea have a winning mentality, that will help Sarri, BUT what I will say also is he doesn’t rotate a lot which I think he will need to do, but the youth team plays good football and would already be more suited than first team to play his way, albeit at different level entirely, Jardim would of been the safer option but he was never going to leave Monaco,

As soon as a player or manager signs on the dotted line for chelsea, he then should have our full support, we should cheer for him, will him, give him the benefit of the doubt, and welcome them to the blue family, its like we can't choose our family, as fans we have zero input, to who chelsea sign, if you support chelsea, the you should support the players and manager, if not are we really supporters? Or just people who watch.

26 May 2018 13:05:43
Shak, to accuse others of toxicity is absolutely laughable. You were calling for conte’s head only a week ago!

Agree7 Disagree0

26 May 2018 14:28:37
JD I was calling for conte's head since January mate, I have no respect for someone's who Is not willing to work passionately just because things haven't gone his way. His constant abuse And behaviour towards the board has been shocking. The fact of the matter Is that he had the players to be in top 3 mate had he not threw his toys out the pram.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 May 2018 14:33:22
But to not get behind a manager from the start is a joke. As a die hard Chelsea fan, the club always comes first for me. If Sarri is appointed and he says bad stuff then of course I would be unhappy and if he does what Conte did. But a lot of people here are not giving him a snif and This is before he is appointed. That's toxic to me. Let's all get behind the club whatever decision it makes!

Agree1 Disagree0

26 May 2018 15:04:00
Shak, getting behind the club is NOT the issue!
The potential appointment of the man is the debate. That debate is NOT Toxic.

I don’t want a man with outdated views at our club. I don’t want to be fearful of him alienating players due to his views and being down the reputation of the club. We also don’t have a great history in regards to political correctness! We’re under investigation of racial abuse within the club. I want the club to represent the Chelsea name with pride and respect. But we’re all entitled to our opinions, ours just seem to differ here.
