I can't believe how negative the fans are being. If United had any other manager besides Jose, you wouldn't care. Move on. I still believe we will make class signings. Having said that, I am taking a break from posting for a while, the amount of needless negativity is depressing.

I've just scrolled through the page and the only one who mentioned Jose. Drum roll please. Is you.

I'm glad mourinho has gone. Grateful for what he won for our club. But I can't stand him, I can't stand his tactics and I can't stand the way he manages and treats players, staff. As far as I'm concerned he ruined everything since he came here by selling de Bruyne lukaku and mata.

My honest opinion is that Jose is where he truly wanted to be. Even though we won the league on his return, I always felt like he got a little too comfortable like he felt untouchable. He lost his way at Chelsea and I'm sure everyone at Chelsea, fans and players appreciate what Jose did for the club. But having said this the club where right in sacking him. If Utd spend big then I'm sure he will be successful but we have a bright future with a lot of English young players so onwards and upwards.

Hi Eds, you will probably tell me to stop reading social media but as they say, there is usually no smoke without fire.

Any truth in there being contact from United about any Chelsea players?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Not as far as I am aware.}

26 May 2016 21:42:12
Ed, are you able to tell us any other players Conte has asked Chelsea to look to - or even any areas of the pitch he's asked for particular focus on?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I am not getting into providing lists of players.}

26 May 2016 19:51:39
Hello Ed I hope you are well.
I was wondering if you could answer a few questions for me. Who are chelsea targeting and looking to in the central midfield area presently and also the forwards we were looking at too. I know you have said there is interest in icardi and mkhityarian but I wondered if there were any more players the club were targeting.
Thanks in advance and I think you are a doing a great job on all of the pages btw.

We are linked with all these names Lukaku, Griezmann but our wimpish transfer policy is such that we will end up with a name that nobody has heard of. We just walk away when big amounts are involved. Sorry, I have no faith in out transfer poicy.

Here here! Absolutely gone down the carrot pan we used to be so good but now we chasing players who want champion league! I fear for this club.

Boring post.

26 May 2016 22:09:26
Why don't you just go off then and support Fulham.

Agree3 Disagree1

26 May 2016 22:17:51
It's all too easy to spend money when it's not yours. If a deal is unviable for the club, (think of the overall cost, not just the reported transfer fee) then they will walk away.

FFP or has Roman tightened the purse strings?

Agree0 Disagree0

26 May 2016 23:03:04
Sounds like CFCFOREVER and G8 is a papa and hector fan! Or maybe Nathan or still hoping for Marin the German messi to shine and were happy when kdb was sold with the hope of Moses being better.

Dagenham gooner it's not Roman tightening the purse strings ITS buying the right players and realistic players at that! Stop chasing theses super stars at top clubs when they not going to give us a glance with no CL football.

We run this crap system of one in one out when other clubs strengthen and have a deep squad! Look at us last year our strikers Costa with injuries backed up with remy and falcao! Our midfield is weak and we have a ageing back 4!

But guess it's ok tho because hector and van ginkel will be back to save the bloody day next year.

I am a long term fan who remembers when we were really in the duldrums. Last season was a cakewalk compared to the struggles of the 80s.

Agree3 Disagree0

26 May 2016 23:49:22
Am late 80s so seen it all myself what's your point! There ant one! You can't go away from the fact from the original poster point there been some terrible decisions.

27 May 2016 00:47:32
Agree if you look at some buys and sales most have been terrible for us either way.

Agree0 Disagree2

27 May 2016 07:02:32
Most have been terrible for us?

I can see why ed002 doesn't bother replying to much anymore.

Apparently Chelsea are readying a 60mil bid for Mkhitaryan after his Dortmund contract talks stalled again. Would be a nice addition especially in that #10 role instead of Oscar.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

26 May 2016 19:42:25
Little bit expensive I feel, you could griezmann lukaku or James for that kind of money.

Agree2 Disagree1

26 May 2016 21:33:47
Mkhitaryan would be very good business for £25/ £30m. He creates and scores which is the type of player we need plus he can play in several positions. I know it is what someone will pay but I cannot believe anyone would fork out £60m for the player.

Chelsea's Cavani bid falls through due to the departure of Ibrahimovic from PSG. Also Ed any interest in Griezmann?

Have you not been reading the page man?

26 May 2016 20:11:51
Chelsea lead the race for Griezmann according to the Metro, most likely a better option than Cavani anyway.

Agree0 Disagree1

26 May 2016 23:07:00
Metro is the worst source you can read from! The editor plays football manager the night before he punishes the paper.

People need to relax- I have already seen posts dooming this transfer window and worrying about what City/ Arsenal/ Utd/ Jose/ Liverpool/ Klopp will do. It isn't even end of May! I am fairly confident by September we will have at least a new striker (possibly 2), a new centre midfielder, a wide man, a centre back and maybe a full back.
Also as for these people slating us for not buying 'world class' marquee signings. Kante, Fuchs, Simpson and Albrighton cost.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

26 May 2016 09:10:05
don't understand what you mean about kante - albrighton?
although I expect a good window I think fans are well within their rights to doom this window going on the past few, since costa/ fab we have been one of the worst in the league if not Europe for transfers in (when comparing how big a team we are anyway)

Agree0 Disagree0

26 May 2016 10:22:03
Should say cost peanuts and they turned out alright!

Agree2 Disagree0

26 May 2016 11:34:30
makes more sense! still think there are all (other than kante) relegation battle standard players who were on a high all season but you have a good point of course we can get player on the cheap who turn into great signing but the problem is when a small club hears *insert big team* ARE INTERESTED the players value rockets and its not such a gem of a deal. that's how I always see it anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - you think Mahrez is relegation battle standard? The only reason he wasn't at a massive club many years ago is because they all turned him down for being too skinny. It was felt he would get knocked off the ball too easily.}

26 May 2016 12:40:52
sorry who does? "kante fuchs simpson albrighton" never saw mahrez so didn't include him.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - ah apologies, I misread your post. I thought you meant all the Leicester players, not just those 4 in the list. Fuchs was captain of his country and a very good player before he joined Leicester.}

26 May 2016 12:57:26
yeah fuchs is a good player but I think wouldn't standout in any team but a 14th-20th one (this season being an exception) a lot of credit to the management team from me.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I think he is better than you give him credit for. Some of his through balls were sublime and his setpieces were better than the ones people were raving about Willian for producing.}

26 May 2016 13:24:12
I personally don't believe the hype around willian, good full backs do seem to be scarce these days so perhaps I am being harsh. he is no ferriera though ;)

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - he is something that has become as rare as rocking horse dung - a full back who can defend.}

26 May 2016 19:04:18
Fuchs was quality at Schalke.

26 May 2016 05:27:47
A few rumours this morning about Utd being interested in Willian. If the figures being talked about (60m) would you sell. I would bite their arm off!

Are you related to luis Suarez.

Agree2 Disagree0

26 May 2016 07:11:46
I'd take that without second thought.

Agree4 Disagree1

26 May 2016 07:27:25
I'd let him go for 40.

Agree4 Disagree2

26 May 2016 09:29:28
Half a dozen free kicks seemed to earn him a whole lot of praise for last season, the rest of his stats are not impressive at all and 2nd half of the season he went missing. 60Million I would take that.

Agree2 Disagree0

26 May 2016 09:33:20
Put him in a midfield 3 and he could be world class. Very similar to the way iniesta is used at barca.

26 May 2016 09:37:32
Juan Mata was my fav player (along with the club and supporters for two years) however, the profit made on him was great. If someone wants Willian at a profit for us, and he wants to go then do it! let's not get confused with " OUR" lifelong support of a club v's players personal money ambitions during their somewhat limited career span. This is professional sport nowadays, there is no longer the loyalty thing that was present in years gone by. Hence my (often relayed on here) thoughts re JT, MLS don't want him, China don't want him (at his outrageous wage demands) and he can't cut it anymore in the epl. Chelsea has made this man a multi millionaire over the years compared to an Osgood or Grieves who gave easily as much, without the financial reward, to our club, so forgive me if I have a serious issue with the present players who have a price for their loyalty. let's not forget that most of the present day players will be "sunning" it up somewhere whilst us supporters will be scrimping and saving to buy our season tickets to continue to support our club. Reality v's greed IMO. Terrible rant, I'm sorry fellow fans.

now griezman agent saying they have rejected new contract and open to offers any truth ed or has our attention moved on elsewhere.

{Ed002's Note - Chelsea were told that he would be agreing a new contract.}
