Matic fitted in brilliant today. Let's just think about his solidness and breaking up of olay and Ramires next to him with his energy and Willian hazard and Oscar in front and Torres up top, azpilcueta RB terry Luiz and cole I think we can play brilliant free flowing football and be hard to break down. And on bench the rapid salah who is now a CFC player

I've told you that he is different kind of player than Mikel& I have very good opinion about Mikel.

Thought Matic looked very good today, the amount of interceptions and break up plays he made was outstanding. Looking forward to seeing how he progresses over the season.

Hazard is just pheonominal, truely world class.

Matic had a good game, 1 or 2 stray passes but good for a debut, he could easily become one of our most important players when he's settled.

I just wish Hazard would shoot more! When you watch Ronaldo he seems to have 5 or 6 shots a match. The games he does try his luck he bangs them in I don't remember him having a shot this afternoon.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree but Hazrad is what 22? Give it a few years he will be so scary.
His stats have already dramatically increased this season, let's hope for more progression in the following years.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree Matic looked very good. Even when he gave a sloppy pass away he won it back straight away.

Hazard was fantastic I have no idea how he did not get 3/4 assists in that match but I do agree with GEEZER. When he cuts inside and goes past 1 or 2 defenders he needs to start shooting. If he can develop that side of his game then he will become one of the best players in the world.

Just wondered what you guys thought about the Ramires penalty incident that wasn't given and the way Hazard went down in the penalty area in the first half when he ran into the Stoke players leg? Personally it frustrates me to see it when a player of such quality does this time after time in games. I am a Chelsea fan but also a football fan and getting a reputation for doing this is only going to hinder him going forward.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh yeah PB, no doubt he will be scarily good when he's older I don't doubt that, I just think that when he cuts inside if he sees a gap he should go for it. Quite often our attacking 4 dance around the edge of the 18 yard box with 10 players in front of them trying the slip it in to someone. But what do I know lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed on Matic, thought he looked really good. Very imposing presence on defence.
Was also very pleased to see Hazard go down the line a couple of times instead of cutting to the middle every time. That unpredictability is going to help him in the future.

Agree0 Disagree0

Geezer, on the super sunday the pre match show 2 weeks ago talking about Hazard in training and pre match has been doing lots of dribble in side low shooting. Whether or not this is true I don't know but its definately something i'm sure he is working on, he has scored from that scenario a few times already this season.

What a free kick by Oscar, thought we dominated the game and could have won by 5 easily, Oscar was immense as was Hazard and Matic, wow, we have been missing that ability all season, broke up 90% of the opposition play and spread the play really well, good performance from the team today but we got the most difficult draw possible, C'mon you blues.

Agree thought matic was very good, just what we have been missing. Has that uncanny ability to get a foot in and be in the right place at the right time. Good going forward as well. Very comfortable afternoon.

I just want to say now, although it is tough to take Mata going to United, he has done it for the correct reasons, and footballing reasons.

I also want to say, the way in which he has conducted himself over the past week or so has been incredibly professional, and especially in the way in which he has said goodbye to the fans. He may not have been able to do it in the way he wanted to, but he has done it gracefully and with the utmost respect for everybody at the club.

Although many may disagree, I feel we shouldn't be bitter, and shouldn't hate Juan. He has given so much for the club, and he really was the first midfield player which transformed the way we play, and the way we are now. We have so much to say thank you for, so in future, please do not 'Boo' or insult Juan, as he has been a fantastic servant in his time at our club.

I wish him the best of luck, but I hope he has off days against us, as he is still an incredible talent.

For those who haven't read his 'Goodbye' to the club and his fans, here is the link.

I have to agree. The guy was a great player for us as well as an all round good guy but we couldn't expect him to sit on the bench wasting his best years. The money gained from his sale will help progress Chelsea

It's unfortunate that Manchester United were the club to come in with the right amount of money and unfortunate for him that Moyes seems to struggle with creative players - but it is what it is.

I hope Mata has a great career (hopefully in Spain or Germany). Best of luck to him.

Juan Mata has to go down in history as my most adorable sportsman, not just footballer. I'm still in tears, having just read his letter to the Chelsea fans. What a professional! That was one player who truly loved the club and always gave his all. To think that he was just on 70k/wk is unbelievable! Very sad indeed that he's gone. Best of luck to u Juan, wishing u all the best both as a person and a footballer. Will always love and adore you.
