Same old story, comfortable and dominate but at 1-0 mot killing teams off will always come back and bite us in the arse

The second half was very worst. We were ball chasing and on top of it trying to delay the game. If we are so afraid to play gala at the 60 min, then we are not fit to be in the competition. Cech was utter rubbish. His position for the goal absurd. His card utter madness. I don't know why we pick mikel and ramires in the team. One fellow sits on his ass and doesn't move. Another one keeps running like a mad dog chasing a ball which it can't hold. Our attacking midfielders are all near our D-box. So disgraceful. If Jose was so hard against Mata's work ethic, same should apply for Mikel. He should not be near first team not even on the bench. Second half was slap in the face for us! Central midfield need players like Rakitic, Pjanic not Mikel or Ramires. Both of them need to go for us to play better.

On a positive note, Schurrle played well and Lamps was good.

{Ed018's Note - certainly don't agree with your comments about Ramires and what exactly did Schurrle do out there today?}

Hi Ed, Schurrle had lot of good movement inside the gala's box in the first half. Hazard was marked by 2 defenders. Schurrle was able to use this to create his space. With regard to ramires, I still feel his incapability to pass the ball puts lots of pressure on willian/hazard/oscar as they have to come deeper to receive the ball. He is not able to spread the ball.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed018's Note - but no end product. Not a decent look at goal and no killer ball to put someone through. With that said I thought Hazard and Willian were equally as poor. And I know Ramires catches a lot of flak due to his ability to pick out passes but you cannot replace what he does bring to the team with anyone else in this team. Either way we should've put the match away in the first half and we didn't. On to Fulham which is more important anyways}

I agree with you Ed. But he is playing after long time. I was happy to see his awareness on the space. He is an able player who lacks playing time. Also I agree on Ramires energy in the midfield. However the end product makes us a failure. A CM in Modric/Pjanic/Rakitic mode, we would have killed the game in the first half as we would have easily outpaced the Gala defence with one pass which was missing.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed018's Note - plenty of players had a chance to play the killer ball in the first half and couldn't. A score draw, not the end of the world we will get through. It was frustrating for sure but we really need the 3 points at the weekend. That should be the first priority}

I agree ED018 look the performance wasn't great we say it week in week out at the end of the day we and the club and the manager know what we are missing the issue isn't going to resolve itself until the summer a decent striker would of scored 3 or 4 in that first half but hey take the positives playing in turkey is never easy and a score draw IMO was a decent result I expect to win buy 2 or 3 at the bridge onwards and upwards

Hang on a minute ed18, you was praising Willian up for all his defensive work the other day, and today I think schurrle matched anything Willian has done. Tracking back wise he was brilliant, played azpilicuta through for the goal we scored. Willian was a pointless waste of 30 million. Can't attack or pass to save his life, even for some one so fast has got horrendous first touch and takes too many touches slowing down our play so much.

Hey Ed, can you please Give the reasons as to why Lukaku will leave the club?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - It is unimportant.}

I'm sorry to ask, but how can it be unimportant? He's one of the biggest talents in the world, losing him would be a huge mistake

{Ed002's Note - It is not something that is going to be discussed here.}

Ok, thanks for the answer

to me it seems we can't spend 50 + million on a player, and give 250 k or 300k a week, I know u going to talk about torres and ffp rules, we got the money so.whatsup

This is the most ridiculous post I've read here and believe me, there are so many of them. Is it just all about throwing money and ridiculous wages at players? I'm more worried that players from the academy hardly get a look in. Let's talk about Lukaku, Bamford, Piazon, Chalobah, PvA, Atsu and Traore, etc breaking to the the first team than spending ridiculous money on another Fernando Torres.

End of the day its a no win situation if we were bringing them through and not winning anything it would be spend spend spend we have great talent in our youth set up but there's a massive step up to hit the first team look at josh everyone going on and having ago at managers not giving him ago deep down he's just not that standard for the first team and we have many more like him. It will come to a point where the youth have a make or break situation that step up and out of the youth set up now there will only be a hand full if that, that will make it and that may not be with chelsea. We have some of the best footballing coaches and scouts at the club am sure if there good enough they will get there chance. As for now the club are looking forward and I think the best option my opinion is to buy a top class strikers and midfielder because I think we have talented youngsters but not ready worldclass ones. And the comment on torres everyone was rubbing there hands when we bought him, ok he's not lived up to expectations but at the time and even the money I was happy like most would of been.

Watched the Under 18's vs. AC Milan's kids yesterday and they were very impressive.

Baker was excellent (two worldly goals) along with Loftus-Cheek, Swift and Brown who all stood out as a class above the rest.

Was a bit disappointed with Feruz though, he looked lazy and disinterested for most of the game - but still showed of some good touches!

The future is, without a doubt, bright!

We've always had good youth players they just don't get the chance at CFC u fortunatley, players you mentioned plus 3/4 others is love to see make it through to first team

Just a quick question for everyone and ed.

Ino there is apparent interest in khedira and Luiz could be sold with Bayern and PSG of interest.

But my question is who would you rather alongside Matic next season?

Luiz OR Khedira?

I see no point in signing Khedira when in all fairness Luiz has a lot better technical qualities than him and he's by far a better passer of the ball. We seen away to man city Luiz and Matic bossed the midfield and I would like to see them paired together. IMO it will also give Oscar more freedom and allow our full backs to get further forward in which I think we have lacked this season (I.e ivanovic's poor crossing, azpi not a natural left back although quality).

Cheers guys

V Liverpool and city we've gone with Luiz in middle. I'd be doing that week in week out. And swapping Ramires when needed, Luiz and matic are solid and can pass and love a tackle. I find it strange Jose can't see it. I'd say as a partnership better than yaya and fernandiho,
