So it's been confirmed that MVG tore his ACL and he'll miss a lot (if not all) of the season. I feel very sorry for him as he probably would have been important for the squad.
Don't know if we'll see some midfielders from the youth team joining in some matchday squads or if we'll just stick with Mikel, Ramires, Lampard and Essien. That's only 2 midfielders I really want to see on the team sheet. I don't think Lampard is a good fit for the central midfield and I don't know what to expect from Essien. Perhaps Loftus-Cheek, Ake or Baker will get some minutes, and I think they could prove to be ready for it. Huge talents and we should use them.

I really do feel Loftus has a real shot at making the 1st team in the next few seasons. Great talent

So this means we are playing the UCL tournament with 3 DM.

Looks like it, Mikel, lamps, and ramires. Neither a decent passer from deep. Gunna be a boring cl campaign. Unless of course oscar drops deep next to Mikel. Or maybe luiz. I think this is the way forward for us.

Don't forget Luiz can fill in there if needs be, so could Oscar or KDB, I think, if it got as desperate as it was the year we won it.

A shame that he's lost a year of development more than anything, in my opinion.

I hope it doesn't affect his pace because he can really move for a player of his size.

Is Mourinho still happy? He doesn't look it at all!

Haha tell you what last wk we had a bad couple of results and at half time in fulham game there was booing we win that game and tonight we played ok and everyone singing his name. Best manager in world and chelsea fans boo and even question his ability that's maybe why and you wonder why he's come back to the place that he said he loves and we give him acouple of games in and start booing.

Profesional performance did enough to win,
I was sure Malouda had left in the summer but it looks like he had bought a Luiz wig and changed his name to Willian, Spurs must be laughing, they ended up with Lamela and Eriksen, we payed 30 million him.

It seems like the Russian winters have affected the ability of some players! Hope they get up to speed soon, Willian was unrecognisable to the Willian that played for Shahktar against us!
