hi ed,

may not be in your area of expertise but do you have any idea where fabrizio miccoli will be playing his football next year? {Ed002's Note - Al Nasr, Al Shabab or perhaps a renewed contract.}

Ideal Chelsea acquisitions:

Right back: Azpilicueta/ Debuchy

Def Mid: Fellaini

Winger: Bale/ Hulk

Striker: Cavani

What does everyone think? MB

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Agree completely, but don't see where bale would fit since we have so many left sided players... still would love to have him in blue

Agree1 Disagree1

Azplicueta yes.
Fellaini no, i don't think we need him
Bale no.
Hulk yes.
Cavani definately, but can't see it happening

Rich

Agree1 Disagree1

Right backs yes. i rate fallaini very highly, but we do have mikel, romeu thr & essien plus lamps can play that roll quite effectively. we also have meirelles and benayoun and ramires for the 2 central spots. thats 7 CM & if we sign another i dont want affecting mceachran, piazon or even challobah chances. no to bale we need a right sided player muniain or hulk is perfect. to be honest i hate the fact chelsea fans are so obsessed with spurs players. and as for the striker ive been a big fan of cavani for sometime, but torres will be fine we sign someone as big as cavani or falcao torres will drop form. we just need to either let sturridge have his chance or sign schurrle or huntelaar. Hey here's an idea, instead of sending him out on loan, why don't we keep him till january to see how he's progressing then if need be, then send him out on loan? {Ed018's Note - who}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Sorry, I forgot to put who, awkward :/ The people who im on about, are De Bruyne and McEachran!

Agree1 Disagree0

I agree be bruyne can play centre mid aswell. boy can he strike a ball, late runs like lampard type player. mould him into that would be perfect. BLUEBOY1

Agree0 Disagree0

Id prefer pato< he would be cheeper

When You Buy a chelsea shirt with a certain player on the back of it and he leaves lets say next month could i get a refund on that shirt?

Believable0 Unbelievable3

I doubt it

Agree0 Disagree0

Is that a serious question?

IB.

Agree1 Disagree0

Get the champions of Europe shirt smart as

Serious or not, I hate to admit it but it made me chuckle.

PieZ

Agree1 Disagree0

A reading fan did this a year or so ago,and took them to court, they settled out of court and refunded him, google it if you think i lie !

Agree1 Disagree0

Here is an idea, you wait until the transfer window closes. problem solved.

trueblue012

Agree2 Disagree0

Legally I'm pretty sure there's no way they'd have to give a refund. Assuming the out of court settlement was more a gesture of goodwill.

IB.

Agree0 Disagree0

Everton offered to refund all Arteta shirts bought last summer

Ed; Do you detect a shift in policy in the way the club are looking toward senior players?
In the past we seem to have allowed contracts to run down or indeed have almost given players away.
Petr Chec has signed a new 4 year contract and whilst he isnt being challenged for the GK place I think he will be in possibly 3 seasons time . Similary Benyoun and Moulda seem to be encouraged to leave {Ed002's Note - Players are transient - the age means Chelsea need to refresh their squad.}

Believable1 Unbelievable2

We have to shift our policy for the future of the club. the goalkeeper position is different anyway
30 isn't a concern for a goalkeeper

I think Apzilicueta would be a perfect RB signing! But if not what about Richards from city? Is he available Ed? cheers DW {Ed002's Note - I doubt that he would be available.}

just a bit of fantasy football here but if you all had he choice of a player joining us who would it be ??

lets not include ronaldo, messi, iniesta and xavi though because it will only start an argument over who is better

curt

Believable2 Unbelievable5

Ozil.

IB.

Agree6 Disagree0

Yer i agree with that one mate

i forgot to put my choice in the post but ozil all day long

curt

Agree1 Disagree5

Schweinsteiger for me , he's class, just class . if we get this fella playing with Rami in the middle we wouldn't need a DM. We would be unstoppable.

ELI

Agree4 Disagree0

Lucas & Neymar! Future samba stars! Imagine Ramirez,Luis,Lucas&Neymar!!
DJCHELSEA4EVA

Agree4 Disagree2

I think the fact that RM signed him for 10M is so crazy. Also, the fact that he is a regular for the German Team even though he doesn't play in Germany/Bayern Munich shows how important he is.

I'd like Ozil as well but in the spirit of diversity I'd choose Di Maria - The guy is magical and somewhat under appreciated at RM

Agree1 Disagree0

You always say that curt like the four are close together, IMO i wouldnt include Xavi and Iniesta in the same bracket as Ronaldo and Messi, they are a step up i think, i'd include Schweinstieger and Ozil in the Xavi/Iniesta class, along with the likes of a prime Ronaldinho, Henry, Figo, Gerrard, Ballack etc, really top end pro's, Zidane i would put in the Ronaldo/Messi bracket, anyway haha, it would be Schweinstieger for me

SHED END

Agree1 Disagree2

Lol @ gerrard and ballack in iniesta and xavi's class

if you read the post i said dont include them for to save arguements so why bother mentioning them

curt

Agree1 Disagree4

No Curt, Shed wasn't including them he was trying to make a point. And Shed in there with Ballack and Gerrard u missed Lamps and Kaka( at his peak). Can't be forgetting those two.

ELI

Agree3 Disagree0

I would take a prime Gerrard over Xavi or Iniesta, Ballack in his day was an absolute machine, would of walked into any team easily, i include them because you're a Toby mate, you said you'd take Xavi over Messi. This has become the curt show, iv'e forgotton more than you know

SHED END

Agree4 Disagree2

Ballack was an absolute beast when he played at Bayern and was underrated when he played for us. I'd have him in there too.

IB.

Agree4 Disagree0

Lots of good suggestions. If it was for one game tomorrow that I have to win I take schweinsteiger. If its for the duration of a career give me neymar. Can't go wrong.

Tk

Agree2 Disagree0

Bastian Schweinsteiger for me, even over Xavi considering his age (I'm not saying he's better than Xavi before arguments start, I'm saying he'd suit Chelsea more! Schweinsteiger is ridiculously good! Lol

Chelsea Nick

Agree1 Disagree0

Torres

Agree0 Disagree0

Id love Drogba to re-sign ;) If not then Cavani or Falcau!

Agree1 Disagree0

Never once said id take xavi over messi i said id take iniesta over messi and quite a few people agreed

this is why i didnt want them 4 mentioned makes the topic alot easier

but everyone has there own opinion

curt

Agree1 Disagree4

As for it becoming the 'curt' show its not my problem people seem to feel the need to talk about me more than chelsea

as for forgetting more than i know i highly doubt that one anyway im not going to argue im bored of arguing with people for no reason

curt

Agree1 Disagree5

Vincent Kompany, unbelievable player and just loves playing football.
Simply a class act!

LF07

Agree3 Disagree1

Thats a great shout LF07 btw.

CT13

Agree4 Disagree0

It is your problem curt because you comment and have an opinion of every single post, but when someone has a different opinion than you, you LOL, or try and ridicule it, and when it seems you're beaten in a debate, you chuck out the old 'im bored of arguing poor me' routine. You're just annoying mate

SHED END

Agree10 Disagree1

Kun aguero, or the legend ken aguero, without his silly wages tho. Curt try take things a little less personally and go with the flow, it's only banter at the end of the day and it feels sometimes you are asking for an argument. Chill bruv

Agree0 Disagree2

Hey Marley: I heard Ken Aguero isn't as greedy as his big brother - we could get him for about 80k a week.

Agree2 Disagree0

Bastian Schweinsteiger,Hulk,Azpilicueta for me...

Agree1 Disagree1

Shed end all the way....,.

Agree4 Disagree3

Sign him up, today!! ;)
Marley

Agree0 Disagree0

If I had to see just one person joining Chelsea I'd like it to be ...... me. I'm great at warming benches and I'd only require a meager £40k a week for doing so. If Winston Bogarde can get away with it for 2 years why not me :P

Hindsight is a wonderful thing.. yes hodgson got a few things wrong and yes young, milner and rooney were poor, but actually we went into the tournament not expecting anything, we definitely have a poorer squad than the top 4 teams left in the competition. I think even if we had lamps, cahill, wilshere fit and available England still wouldn't be good enough to win it.

I think we should be proud of the players who performed brilliantly in the whole tournament such as terry, cole, parker, gerrard and hart and accept that we did better than what france, holland and russia did with a far weaker team!

I like that the passion is still there, as a year ago i think people didn't really want to play for england under capello.

Dave

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Lescott ?? he was a rock

curt

Agree4 Disagree4

I think you could argue England have more talent than portugal. One man doesn't make a team. Also Russia isn't nearly as good as England if that's what you are suggesting. All in all id say where they went out is about right.

Tk

Agree0 Disagree1

In response to TK i would say that yeah, we aren't weaker than russia, however they did play better football than us in their 1st game. I personally believe that portugal would be on par with us, if it weren't for ronaldo..

pepe and coentrao are on par with terry n cole, if not better, and everyone else is better or on par than all other positions (except striker)

And in response to curt, yes i agree lescott should have been named..

Dave

Agree1 Disagree1

I wouldnt say conentrao is on a par with cole if not better unless you just mean peformances at the euros in which case i would agree

curt

Agree0 Disagree4

Im sorry I disagree. Anybodys gonna be attacking in that kind of group. Cole and terry are quite easily better than pepe and coentraeo. Bruno Alves and perriera are a push with lescott and Johnson. I'll take joe hart over their keeper. I'd take Stevie g and parker over Miereles and their defensive mid and that's not close. Ill give you moutinho over welbeck or Carroll. I'll also give you Ronaldo and Nani over young and Milner. And I'll take Rooney over their strikers. The biggest difference is that England is much better off the bench.

Why not Hulk? £38million is a lot yet we spent £50million on Torres, why not get our attack done and sorted for a couple of years? In my opinion we should get Abramovich to splash the cash and snap him up.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

No we shouldn't just splash the cash, with all this talk of financial fair play we need to spend wisely. We've already spent 38 million on Hazard and Marin so transfers don't need to happen now, give it a few weeks til pre season

Ed002, did you expect the appointment of RDM and are you happy with it?

Also, you have said a number of times that many people have an input on who Chelsea track and sign. Do you think RDM's opinion will be seriously considered when it comes to signings and the rebuilding of the squad? Basically, do you think the club see him as a stopgap or do you think they fully back him and want him to build a team?

My guess is that they are kind of playing it by ear and don't expect too much from him but he will be given his fair chance. Even though I said the club probably don't expect much from him, he must basically win the league to stay in the job.

Your opinion is much appreciated.

Cleveland Blue {Ed002's Note - Once it became clear that neither of the two targets were available it was certain that RDM would get the job. He will certainly have an input regarding transfers.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Edd who were the two targets {Ed002's Note - Use the archive - read the posts.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Mourinho and Pep.

Or me and my golden retriever.

Whichever suits you.

IB.

Agree1 Disagree0

I want your golden retriever as long as he plays attacking football

curt

Hi Ed. Who would be your 1st choice signings for Chelsea realistically. Please just list the names of the players you would want and we could realistically get - I would be really interested. Many thanks - James13. {Ed002's Note - I have no interest in fantasy football or any such things. Sorry.}

The only reason the EPL gets millions of pounds thrown at it is because of the foreign players. The
English players against Italy last night were woeful.
Cole and Terry are overpaid under-performing so called "STARS". Aye right. Everyone in England laugh
at the SPL but we dont have over inflatted egos and
Sky wont allow us to play on a level playing field where money is concerned. CM

Believable8 Unbelievable10

Ashley Cole is the best left back in the world you person and is one of the most consistent performs in world football!

the SPL is shocking and even with money it wouldnt rival the Championship let alone the Prem!

Dan1CFC

Agree6 Disagree7

Of course mate pick on Cole and Terry ,I mean its their fault the strikers couldn't score or that the midfielders couldn't do their job. Terry and Cole were one of the best defenders in the tournament in their respective positions. Yeah Cole missed a penalty, but that can happen to anyone, let's not forget what he did just over a month ago . So fella Man up and take the defeat on the chin and stop dishing out blames to people who don't deserve it, cause I tell you what if not of JT and Cole, England would have been out long before the penalties.
P.S. If only Young could take a penalty as well as he could dive, it could have been a different story.

ELI

Agree2 Disagree6

Rooney and Young are also over-rated. Big Rio was badly missed last night.

Agree6 Disagree9

Rio missed ? do me a favour lescott is better we missed cahill and lamps

CM, terry and cole overpaid ?? best left back in the world/ever and one of the best centre backs in the world (few years ago)

only players that turned up last night were parker, terry, lescott and cole

wana blame someone blame hodgson for a) taking too many liverpool players and b) not taking young, welbeck and milner off after 20 minutes

cant believe im saying this but carroll should of started

curt

Agree3 Disagree9

Why was rio badly missed ,did we concede a goal then ,or did you want him for the pens, your a muppet pal!!!

Agree4 Disagree3

As a Chelsea and Glasgow Rangers fan I
agree that the Spl does not get enough money from Sky. I have been to several
Old Firm games at Ibrox and Celtic Park and the atmosphere was electric. Hope Sky help them out bit more.. BJ

Agree3 Disagree0

Hahah the defense kept England in the tournament and you are trying to have a go at the two best players on the defense. You're a funny little thing aren't ya?

Tk

Agree0 Disagree4

Im still trying to come to terms with him saying cole and terry are overrated
