Missing out on golovin isn't s big deal imo. The same with pjanic, with the midfield the 3rd player needs to be a goalscorer snd have that final bit of quality, been reading a lot about Sarri set up and he like to win ball back high up and play comes through Jorginho and 2nd midfielder ( kante carrying it out ) and the 3rd midfielder is the classic frank lamoard late run into box to finish the move. a fit Ross Barkley could do that. Loftus I think could but don't know if he would overly suit it, but Savic s good goalscorer would be ideal and his good physically to hold his own, but fed is problem, Cesc could be there with the football brain and that killer pass too. Only my take on it. need to get these last few deals done and get whole squad on sarri's wave length. buzzing for next game,

Ok lads - seems we've missed out again. Golovin on his way to Monaco.

seen that also typical Chelsea in recent years can't sign players and won't give what we got a chance I. e salah and de bryune club has really lost its way in my eyes.

It would've been nice to have him join us but maybe we are targeting other players. Linked with Pogba, Savic and Thiago (can't see any happening) but they're all top players! Besides, we have Barkley and RLC who deserve a chance with us this season.

No one had heard of him b4 world cup
He had a few average games in WC against very average opposition jorginho fabregas kante Barkley rlc ampadu are all better players
Makes me laugh to say we missed out on a player six weeks ago noone as ever heard of.

"typical Chelsea in recent years can't sign players and won't give what we got a chance I. e salah and de bryune club has really lost its way in my eyes. "

What do you want them to do then? I said it yesterday, Chelsea are basically a new side under Sarri. Nobody knows what he's going to do with what's already at the club.

Perhaps, Sarri veto'd the Golovin deal in favour of Barkley/ RLC/ Baka/ Odoi?

Basically, we can't have it both ways. We can't buy players AND give what's already there a chance.

26 Jul 2018 11:55:58
We linked to Thiago Pogba and Savic, I would love Savic or any of them and we should be pushing for one of them. Not settling for Fabregas or Barkley. I’m sorry but it’s true.

Golovin to have his medical at Monaco tomorrow. He has chosen Monaco over Chelsea. From Fabrizio Romano (reliable) .

I am really worried, frankly speaking, most of our rivals have done more business than Us and it's about 2weeks till the end of the transfer window and there's no urgency from Chelsea regarding incoming players. mind you! Liverpool did so well last season and see what they have done in this window but we acting as if we won the league last season.
This is the kinda attitude that makes players like hazard having second thoughts about putting pen to paper.

"Most of our rivals have done more business than Us"

- Arsenal, I'll give you - A couple of decent ins for them, but nothing world class
- City, Mahrez - 1!
- United, Fred, Dalot and Grant - So basically 1 starter
- Spurs - A big fat 0
- Liverpool have added the most quality.

So, I don't get this worry about what other clubs are doing because, by the looks of things MOST of them are as busy as us, and we've only got our manager in a week ago!

Agree2 Disagree0

25 Jul 2018 16:06:09
I don't blame the club so much for lack of incoming players. I think it's better we bring in a few quality players than a bunch of players (like we did last season) . I also think that the club would like to bring in some quality new players but the lack of players leaving will affect the number players that the club will bring in.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jul 2018 16:08:03
Man City walked the league and don’t need much upgrade if we hadn’t signed sarri thwy would have both marez and Jorginho. liverpool were far better than we lot last season and they Have approached this T. window as if they were trash and mind you I don’t regard spurs and arsenal as our rival for the tittle.

Agree0 Disagree1

25 Jul 2018 16:26:29
From past history, if we intend to get some decent signings we go all out and get it sorted out but it seems it’s not one of those windows instead it’s looking like those windows where we wait till the last hours of the window and bring in players like baba ranman, drinkwater. I just hope am wrong.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jul 2018 17:03:13
In Conte's first season we signed Luiz and Alonso on deadline day and they did alright that season! I wouldn't panic just yet mate, priority has to be keeping our star players. If we manage that there's no reason why we can't win the league again as these players have done it twice in 4 years and know how to win trophies.

Agree1 Disagree0

25 Jul 2018 17:46:31
After last seasons performance if someone offered 4th spot for the coming season I would take it now. An ideal window would be hazard signing a new long term deal, bringing in a lightening quick exciting player like Bailey. Didn’t see too much of Emerson but I think left back should be looked at also.
Dream scenario would be icardi or Cavani, Alex Sandro, Milinkovic-Savic and hazards long term deal.
Let’s show hazard that he can achieve what he wants out of the game at Chelsea by buying better calibre of player.

26 Jul 2018 00:59:16
I don’t think we need a LB but if we were to sell Alonso I’d go all out for Grimaldo. Think we need a RB more although I guess Moses is a decent enough back up to Azpilicueta and homegrown.

So we’ve literally only just been linked with Leon bailey now Malcolm has joined Barcelona. Roma are also looking at the player, but Leverkusen have come out and said they won’t accept anything less then €100m. The world has gone mad!

Sources in Italy saying we're close to signing Reina as Courtois replacement. Not sure how much truth there is in it. Sort of makes sense if you break it down:

1. Knows Sarri's system as well as anyone
2. Experience of Premier League and Europa
3. Very good with his feet for a keeper
4. €9m is obviously not breaking the bank
5. Sign him for a season, see who is available next season. For example, Oblak, Pickford, Kepa etc.

Just my opinion on those points by the way.

Hasn’t he just signed for Milan?

Agree1 Disagree0

25 Jul 2018 13:09:32
You mean the guy who was deemed past his best by Liverpool all those years ago, 35 years old and just signed for Milan on a free transfer? Can't see it myself.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jul 2018 13:24:44
Yeah that same guy. Deemed past his best by Liverpool and that’s been their biggest weakness ever since he left. Played champions league football and trusted by Sarri, especially because of his distribution. that guy.

Anyway, “sources in Italy”.

From Tancredi Palmeri of BEIN SPORTS?

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jul 2018 14:20:16
They replaced him because he was no longer good enough, just because they thought Mignolet was the answer doesn't mean that a 35 year old Reina is now suddenly good enough for us. I'd be massively disappointed with this signing unless of course he's coming to replace Willy as our number 2.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jul 2018 14:52:06
So you agree with Liverpool’s judgement in Goalkeepers?

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jul 2018 15:51:16
It's almost like you didn't just read my above post. He wasn't good enough then and certainly isn't now and if you believe otherwise you're basically stating you're more than happy with us returning to mediocrity.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jul 2018 16:41:58
I read the post, you’ve cited Liverpool deeming him not good enough and his age. Did you bother to read my original post where I stated it may make sense to get him for a season! Then go for someone world class next season. You know, when we aren’t playing Thursday night football and hopefully attract a better class of keeper with champs league on offer? I think there are only 2 keepers that are as good as or better than Courtious but are we going to spend €100m this season? I just don’t understand how he isn’t good enough when he’s been in the champs league since he left Liverpool, fighting for titles at Napoli, Bayern and Napoli again.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jul 2018 17:00:13
And I said that whilst Liverpool replaced him poorly, they still deemed him worth replacing. Furthermore, you say he's been challenging for titles in the clubs he's played for since but he was number 2 at Bayern, Napoli hardly set the world alight in European competition with him in goal and last season was their title challenge under Sarri. Whilst I agree we may have to settle for a stop gap, there are far better options than a 35 year old Pepe Reina. If we're going for past it goalkeepers we may as well get Petr Cech back at least he loves the club and has won trophies in his time.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jul 2018 12:23:39
New reports about Leon Bailey and some suggesting Milinkovic Savic. I don’t know whether the latter is true but they would be unbelievable signings. Should sell Willian and if we missed the chance then it’s a real loss because 60 million is a steal for a 29 year old. We have to push for bailey and if we can get Milinkovic Savic as well our team would be set (other than striker and goal keeper situation)

Believable0 Unbelievable1

25 Jul 2018 13:31:10
Milinkovic Savic's price is high, the only way I see us going for him is if we sold Hazard or Kante. I read he now favours a move to Chelsea since ManUnited have moved back because of his fee. I am guessing ManUnited might want to use the money they get if they sold Pogba to chase his deal.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jul 2018 14:06:35
Or does Chelsea want to blow everyone out of the water by buying Milinkovic Savic without selling either Hazard or Kante?

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jul 2018 11:47:53
i think we missed a trick not selling willian for 65 million. he's 29 probably has 2 good years left cpuld of invested it in bailey or some1 dat been said not my money so happy he's staying aswell i think willian is a very likeable player.

Chelsea is considering if they should go in for him according to Simon Johnson (of The Standard) .

hed rather chelsea than roma that's a fact his style of play an pace is something we lack.

25 Jul 2018 12:06:26
I am crazy about this guy. Chelsea should buy him even if it means keeping him at Leverkusen on loan for one season (that is if there's no need for him at the moment) OR sell Pedro and bring him in. The opportunity is here- Chelsea have always been interested in him.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jul 2018 12:39:26
Heard he's likes London and he's a fan of Chelsea BUT we know that Chelsea likes to take good players that is their fan for granted. I pray this one won't be like others.
