Glad we're through, I love the fa cup, funny game, dominate and look comfortable but don't take chances, games finished with us holding out for the win, nice to see Pedro playing, I miss him dribbling the ball back towards our defenders and getting us into trouble lol. Big game at the weekend so we go again, no names ed but anything progressing with a forward for jan, not long left now.

Deserved win. Should've been up by 3 or 4 at half time and it gets rather boring how often we're saying it but nothing will change until we bring in new attackers. Tomori and Zouma were great, dealt with the crosses and set pieces brilliantly. Only negative was how often Barkley, Pedro and Alonso kept giving the ball away. All were very wasteful and gave Hull a couple of very good counter attacks, something we simply can't do against Leicester. Hope Mount's ok too, think he needs a rest considering the amount of games he's played already!.

If we don't put the game out of reach then we will get nervous and soppy and the inevitable will happen.

The end of the transfer window is just around the corner, and some corners of Chelsea fans are desperate for us to sign someone to add some weight to our top four hopes.

Here's a question, who was the last player signed in the January transfer window, by any club, that had an immediate impact? Aubameyang? Before that, Suarez?

It's really rare for a January signing to hit the ground running.

{Ed001's Note - van Dijk?}

VVD, went from almost team to one of the best, almost with one signing.

But has he worked out though Ed? I mean really worked out?

You could say Cahill I suppose, started, and won, a Champions League final after signing in January!

Ok, ok, other than Suarez, Aubameyang, Cahill and, I suppose, Van Dijk who has had an immediate impact?

(there could be more than I realised during original post)

Who can forget the instant impact fernando Torres made?!
Seriously though, Anelka was Jan too. It’s difficult perhaps but it can be done, we shouldn’t let previous bad experiences stop us from strengthening of that is what the club feel needs to be done.

If you look at Liverpool, they went out spent big money and brought in the key players they needed, now look at them.
If we want to compete for the title we need to do the same, as well as develop our current young squad
- I’d give kepa one more year and if he still doesn’t improve look to move him on
- CB: Koulibaly, I don’t think this is likely but a big enough offer would probably work and he’s world class
- LB: Chilwell/ Telles both great options, Chilwell slightly younger and English but depending on price
- RW: Sancho, think this is a must tbh
- ST: Werner, Young, fast, strong, prolific, great competition for Tammy
What are your opinions.
