I think the best thing you boys could do over the next year or two is start introducing your youngsters as the old guard are finished. You have a striker at Bristol city who is supposed to be the bees knees, start bringing them into the first team it didn't do man Utd any harm.

Thing is mate the striker area isn't the problem. As good as Tammy Abraham is Costa is class. Our best player again today even though we were rubbish. Defence is disgusting.

Some teams just like to buy raver, in the hope of instant success. Ironically Chelsea have one of the best academies but Chelsea rarely give them a chance.

Still long way to go thos season. So we should not write us off just yet. Anyway something have to change, maybe play two up top?

Cahill and Iva are both terrible, but suprisingly i think that Iva is twice the player Cahill is right now. 3 ball hiving mistakes which lead to opponents goals in 7 games, is this a joke?

That was a woeful clueless mistake ridden showing tonight, as bad as anything I have seen for sometime the team is awful all over the pitch so many poor passes no shape and worse than schoolboy defending, conte has got massive problems to solve with this lot, having said that he has caused his own mess with the system and choice of players he picked tonite still using that idiot ivanovic. i will give him time but he needs to get his system sorted asap because we look worse than last season.

1. Board will not pay for the players we need
2. Playes are de-motivated
3. Creative players are disinterested
4. Defense is shambles
4. New manager wodenring why he accepted the job
In other words we are in a limbo.

Absolutely shambolic! The line up had us defeated from the outset. No matter what happens it's the same squad same formation. Only difference is the manager. It didn't work when Jose was in charge and it won't work now. I'd rather lose while trying something different! It's just getting boring now! sickening to watch.

I'd like to see Alonso keep his place today. I'd hope Chalobah gets on at some stage. Lastly I think Cesc should start and be given a free role, I can't see Arsenals midfield troubling us too much today. Thoughts?

Humiliating kante gets done walks back no fight no **** all if this continues conte will be gone by christmas tbf to conte wtf can he do with this squad too many players not good enough intergrate some youth and get rid of the deadwood least need some fight it's embarrassing.

{Ed001's Note - depends on the match, but it is clear Alonso has to play so Ivanovic is not right back any more, as he is utterly hopeless there. Move Azpilicueta to right back. Play Matic sitting, with Kante given freedom to do what he wants, as he played at Leicester. Chalobah in there as well, so that Hazard, Batshuayi and Costa can play up front with total freedom. Luiz would then have Chalobah to cover his forays forward and Matic to play the deep probing mid role he played so well when you won the league. Right now Cahill would have to be the other centre half, until Terry or Zouma are back. If changes are needed, it is easy to change things completely with Willian to go right and replace Batshuayi or one of the three in central midfield, depending on the situation. Then Hazard would go left side and you would have a 4-4-2 or 4-5-1, with minimal disruption.}

Why are we not playing with a defence tonight? How is Ivanovic playing? Why play Fabregas in a game where we will be under pressure as he cannot track back to help? It is not Conte's fault we have these players still but I was surprised at the team selection and a further hammering in the second half and he might be praying for Christmas so he can move on.

On the one hand I agree with you ed001, but on the other hand I think Matic isn't fast enough to fill that position and not disciplined enough. However it probably be better for Kante at least.

{Ed001's Note - you don't need pace, it is a playmaking role. The most important thing needed there defensively is good positioning. On the ball, you need someone who can pass, which Matic does much better than Kante. Kante is all about energy and quick, short passes, which needs to be higher up the pitch. Matic can produce a 30 yard pass from deep.}
