Hi Ed, it's great to hear that the club are looking to integrate the youth into the squad, we have a fantastic academy and I am sure a number of those youngsters are good enough to step up. You mentioned Jay D already, do you know which other youth players the club are looking to integrate next season?

Ed pretty sure almost all fans want our youth to succeed and would love it for players to be integrated and no one would trash our youth, please if you could say would be much appreciated thanks a lot understand if you dont.

Hi Ed, really appreciate all the replies you have given below. Love the sound of youth actually being integrated. However, I fear we don't have sufficient youth/ loan options for LB.

Do you know if there are any plans for the position? For example, sell and replace Alonso? I'm hoping this season is just a blip as he adjusts to the new system/ role. However, I can't bare the right of another season of him in current form.

{Ed002's Note - The club think differently to you so maybe they will get rid of Jay Dasila who they had high hopes for, sell Alonso, Emerson, Kenedy and Rahman and bring someone else in. The fans clearly have no interest in the youth players at all.}

Ed002, why do you think that the fans do not want to see youth players come through? In my opinion, that's exactly what we want to see.

{Ed002's Note - Because they all seem to be obsessed with brining in new players and trashing those already at the club.}

ed jay da silva being in our squad woukd be brilliant, one of my favorite youth players, but bristol city manager confirmed they have an option to buy him which is dissapointing, is this correct ed?

{Ed002's Note - Yes, they have an option to buy but the player needs to agree and if he has an option to be in the first team squad at Chelsea he will have to decide.

ed selling alonso and making emerson first choice wihh say dasilve lb would help the youth as would open an opportunity for him thiugh.

Hi Ed; i think we want the exceptional youth players integrated into certain positions (at the right time) ; and we also want the best players available for sale in certain positions. For instance, Reece James would be an excellent Zappacosta replacement, Hudson Odoi would be an excellent Pedro or Willian replacement; whereas, I don't know if it's the right time for Mason Mount to be integrated into the team (if we consider the progress that Loftus cheek and Barkley are making at the moment) .

I see, ed is there likely to be this option though? With alonso and emerson there there's no pathway unless one will be sold, will any of these things be happening ed? I hope so as would love him in the squad next season,

appreciate the responses ed, brilliant news finding out club actually looking at our best youngsters and thinking of using them.
