So everyone is jumping on the 'sell Cahill he's the most useless player' bandwagon. You do realise 3 of there goals came after he was subbed off. Yet you still blame him?

So the anger for Cahill is picking up. He's getting slaughtered! His goal was class.

No hate for drogba? He was the worst of them all

Remy got taken off, even though he was the best player.

We need to buy Varane, schniederlin or Javi Martinez, and then a top quality winger. Our depth is weak.

Hats off to Bradford, although conceding 4 in a row at joke against a league 1 team is appaling.

We march on!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Was meant to be 'sell Mikel he's the most useless . '

Cahill never got subbed so I'm not quite sure what your going on about mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

I take it you mean Mikel in your first sentence?

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah he did Steve, Aron mate Mikel is rubbish. Simple. Plus am I the only one that has noticed but our second team except Remy is more than happy to sit on the bench no desire to force themselves in to the starting 11. That's really worrying. Maybe Luis and Zouma do put in good shifts when they have the chance but Some of the others are just almost not giving a monkeys but.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mikel is like Lucas Leiva. Does all the basics right. Valuable member.

I meant Mikel yes, and conceded 3 when he was off the pitch.

I understand why you don't like him, I really do, but he's obviously doing something right, he's been here (6 years) and hasn't been sold yet.

Can we get someone better to replace Mikel in the squad? Most Definetely! But he also deserved respect!

He plays for the shirt and I can gaurentee he is a Leader on and off the feild. Players like him deserve to be respected, not ridiculed by his own fans.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep exactly ELI, I can see why Jose hasn't been rotating! They're not competing! Bring in some world class players for competition!

Agree0 Disagree0

50% of jersey's we sell in London. Second placed market is Nigeria with 8% of total sale.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I rather suspect that includes the very large number of kits donated by the club to a Lagos based charity last year.}

I can't even watch the hightlight or reqd sth about the match until now.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jan 2015 21:34:15
Couldn't watch the game. That's another game I didn't watch that we drew or lost in.

Spurs Newcastle AND Bradford now. Including the draw the Sunderland

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well then. I don't care how far away you live, if there are no streams available whatsoever, you get yourself a ticket to the match and go watch it! No more dropping points because of you! ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Does anyone know why there is no stream for our FA cup matches (not that it matters now!) when there are streams for all other teams?

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol Jackson, I'll try :P

Kasey Palmer from the U21 team looks like a good prospect, he has been scoring some absolute screamers and furthermore, he generally impresses me when I see him play

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Never watched a full game in which he's involved, but I've seen a couple of his goals these past weeks. Some absolutely gorgeous shots! He seems to have a knack for those long rangers into top corners. And I've read some comments from people saying that he's indeed impressing this year. Will be interesting to see how he develops further.
And the goal he scored yesterday was utter brilliance! He dared to Zlatan :)

Agree0 Disagree0

He's been a bit stop/start this season due to injury. He's one of many quality midfielders we have however he does need a run of (full) games to become a regular starter in the team(s).

Take back what I said not that Ed posted it :). Class from mou with his post match interview Nd congratulating the Bradford team that's more like the good aul awesome Jose we all love give the hurting when it's there and raise your hands up and admit defeat. Again fair play to him.

Anyways I was thinking today just before the game how we are going after wingers got me thinking why we aren't after a dmf beside Matic rather than another winger we could definitely do without. I know we do need better than Willian but in the long run I feel we need another midfielder especially in tough away games and I the summer if Schrulle doesn't pick up sell him and get someone that could be out there with Traore, Thorgan or Piazon taking Salah's spot. No need replacing Sarah if he does leave Boga can take his spot plus Remy and Oscar plus Rami are always available. Problem though would be finding that midfield player at the right price like we did last January.

Well let's hope for a bounce back against the scousers Tuesday. Come on Chelsea :)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Everyone probably knows right about now that I'm a big fan of Traore. I'd love for him to get a shot in the first team :)
Regarding the midfield, you're quite right. But I struggle to think of players I'd like to see at Chelsea. I still have hope for Van Ginkel, if only he could shake off those injuries. Another option is to trust someone like Ake, Chalobah or RLC, but that's unlikely to happen. Anyone got a good suggestion for central midfield that's not Pogba or Schneiderlin (seeing as we've got no interest in him)?
I'd love to hear some :-)

It's a tough one because holding mids are one of the most difficult positions to fill. For the most part there are two types; the quarterback (pirlo) and the destroyer (mikel). It's tough to envision us getting another really good holding mid to partner with matic since most teams don't even have one (see Liverpool and arsenal). I'd really like to see Chalobah groomed for this role as I agree mikel is rather limited in his abilities. Overall there could be a decent amount of turnover in the midfield with mikel and Ramires names both being linked with exits.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jan 2015 02:21:00
Was reading your comment TK and after passing word the destroyer (mikel) Dtraight away realised its going to be bad

25 Jan 2015 16:02:15
Haha fair enough. A better example would be Luiz Gustavo I guess but you get the point.

Interesting we played second team, MCFC played first team and lost anyway!?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Boro played very well though, I was really impressed by them. Would've been perfect if Kalas got to play, but I was happy seeing Bamford in action.
Rooting for Boro in the FA Cup from next round onwards.

24 Jan 2015 18:16:54
Well a big cup loss today and a big loss by Spurs New Years day I no it's only 2 defeats I'm highlighting here but my point is so anyone else think we badly need a defensive midfield player next to matic the chelsea mid never looked so open all season Mikel is useless and I think Ramires has run his course . are we looking to sign any defensive midfielder this month edd?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

24 Jan 2015 19:14:27
Schneiderlin

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah he's good, but there's no interest. Lucas Silva was of interest but he's going to end up at Madrid most probably. Then we've got Koke who can play cm, but he's not the player to shield the defense. Don't know if I've actually seen us linked to a defensive minded midfielder.

Agree0 Disagree0

Koke would cost at least 50m£. Schneiderlin without any doubt! As a winger midfielder I would like to see Tadic but he would now probably cost to much. Reus is off to Madrid. Schurrle isn't going anywhere so if Salah leaves we can expect Douglas Costa instead.
Cahill is not his best this season but that might change his previous season was great.
We have to think about new striker in summer since Drogba will retire.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Obviously the club has no interest in a couple of those players. There have been discussions with two clubs over Schurrle, And there have been discussions over a striker.}

24 Jan 2015 17:39:53
{Ed001's Note - We have posted a new article entitled, Magic of the Cup as Chelsea and Manchester City exit

Disgraceful performance but a blessing in disguise perhaps.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Come on now credit where it is due Bradford played well and deserved the win some decent play and couple fantastic finishes, yes we shouldn't be losing to lower tear teams but such is the beauty of football. So much still to play for this season the CL and most importantly the prem is what we should focus on so chin up guys and credit where it is due.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah I was thinking the same, now we can focus solely on the league and CL

I'd rather see Kalas (even though he's on loan) and Ake in the team over Cahill and Mikel. Absolutely terrible. Ivanovic next to Terry midweek and against City please. With Azpi and Luis full backs. The final straw with Mikel now, Ake deserves his chance he's been good whenever he's played.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

24 Jan 2015 16:56:08
Chelsea out, MCFC out, Southampton out, Tottenham out. WTF is going on?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I really wanted us to have a shot at the FA Cup. We need at least one trophy this season IMO. Terribly frustrated.
If our second team is this bad, why not play youth instead. Couldn't possibly be any worse than this. At what point do senior players stop being untouchable and do youth get a chance. :-( this day stinks

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jan 2015 17:08:08
Woo hang on a minute! We was 2 1 up untill Willian and fabregas come on the pitch

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolutely diabolical, every single player should be ashamed. Massive reaction needed against Liverpool now.

Agree0 Disagree0

That's actually true, Blueboy :-P I was still in overreaction mode when I sent in the comment. Crap result but hopefully the team can get it together for Liverpool.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jan 2015 16:37:44
What the? How can we throw away a 2 goal lead? Hopefully they can still wrap it up today as we've got enough games as it is.
Also no hope of getting RLC or Ake on the pitch now. Disapppointed

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Now 2- 3. can't believe. too disappointed

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jan 2015 16:45:36
Hahahah that's funny lads isn't it?

Agree0 Disagree0

It's an utter disgrace. There are no excuses to be made. Fair play to Bradford though, they probably deserve it. But a loss to a team from the 3rd division is unacceptable. Our boys should take a long hard look at themselves.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jan 2015 17:02:33
i won't be watching MOTD tonight!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - A couple of the Bradford goals were very good.}

Fantastic reply, Ed002 :) I might watch it and then cry myself to sleep.

Agree0 Disagree0

There's not enough words in the dictionary to excuse losing to Bradford at home there really isn't! Good goals or not they are where they are for a reason & vice versa, embarrassing is a choice word considering we were 2:0 up! So disappointed

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jan 2015 18:41:09
Just seen them on the news Ed, so I won't have to torture myself with the highlights!

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jan 2015 16:13:52
Bamford! OMG, Bamford. I can't breath. What a reach!!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

2 - 2 already. what's happening? Mourinho said that a lost to Bradford would be a disgrace -.-"

Agree0 Disagree0

He's impressed me today. Bamford looks very composed as well.
Boro have played very well! Should've had at least 2 or 3 with the amount of chances they created.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bamford looks a classy player who has a knack for scoring - but I can't work out what is his best position - he isn't an out and out forward; he isn't a winger; he isn't a midfielder - where would you play him?

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd play him as a striker. Definitely as a striker. If he can get a little bigger I think he could do a fine job up front.

Agree0 Disagree0

You know, Mrs Costa, I'm actually pretty curious since you seem so confident that Cuadrado will join Chelsea. Have you got reliable sources or something? :-)
I'm genuinely curious, certainly not trying to have a dig at you.
And if you do have reliable sources, would you care to share any other information you might have regarding Chelsea? It'd be very interesting to read.

Well, have a good day my fellow Blues fans and Eds.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I was speaking to Mrs Cuadrado in the shower and she told me!

Agree0 Disagree0

Euhm, I presume you're joking? :-P

Agree0 Disagree0

So confused this transfer window, mourinho says he's happy with the squad & wants to keep every player yet we've made two bids for other players? Just come out & say it already! He also said cuadrado isn't right for Chelsea so why make an offer :/ baffled

Agree0 Disagree0

Situation88 - it's very rare for any Manager to come out and confirm interest in a player. especially before any kind of deal has been agreed between the clubs (could impact negotiations or alert other teams to your interest). You have to also remember that JM is very smart when it comes to the messages he sends out (either clear or perceived) as they usually form part of a bigger picture (i.e. media campaign influencing refs, atmosphere at the ground, messages to players). I'm sure things will turn out okay. :)
