gotta look at our squad, we have plenty of playmakers & wingers. mata, oscar, hazard, moses& marin. plus debruyne & kakuta to come back. we don't need these positions filled. we need centre mids. mikel, lampard, ramires, luiz, essien. 3 of these 5 need to be sold. they just don't suit 2 man midfields, it is as simple as that. you need a rock like the 24year old essien & a passer who doesn't dwell on the ball (lamps&mikel), ie a modric type player.

Ed what are the positions we are focusing on in the jan transfer window.....striker and dm ???

We are becoming a joke with our lack of depth and quality. We run risk of not finishing top 4 this year which would be simply sad.... Yes we need to spend money, hey you need to spend money to make money!! Not saying waste money. Need a combination of width, strikers, steel and a CB. I suggest Isco, Felaini, Schurlle, Cavani ( could get all for apprx 110m) however could sell Torres for 20 to bring cost down to 90. In summer would need Shaw as our future LB, sorry Bertrand does not cut it! Also need a young quality CB and a replacement for Lampard I say Willian or Muniain and a backup RB. Summer to cost 50M. Then we would have also Debuyne, Lukaku, Piazon, Brouma, McCeachran back to give us some depth. It is apprx 150 mil in the two windows combined but would get us to where we want to be, ruling Europe again!!

Believable1 Unbelievable5

Roman's not going to spend that much money, it's just not going to happen

Franco

Agree2 Disagree1

Willian or muniain for replacement of lampard ? totally different positions.

Agree4 Disagree1

Actually just LOL'd. Willian and Muniain both play in more advanced central roles. Which would mean with your signings that we would have Mata, Hazard, Oscar, Isco, Muniain/Willian, Piazon, Moses, Marin and Schurrle and De Bruyne all competing for the front 3 positions.

Agree3 Disagree0

Ed002 has said plenty of times that bruma will be leaving

Billy

Agree1 Disagree0

Someone like Fellaini or Khedira to replace Lamps great box to box midfielders

My signings would be:

Cavani: A year younger than Falcao would suit the prem better. Him and Ba could rotate every week.

Fellaini: My Lamps replacement could be our box to box midfielder. He does prefer to play the holding role in midfield and should partner Luiz .

Schurrle: A strong left winger who's got goals in him not to mention a fantastic to help his team defend.

Shaw: Our future LB. Bertrand isn't good enough.

Agree3 Disagree1

Since this season is a failure, we should have kept mceachran & de bruyne here.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fellaini has been very average when played as a CM this season and only looked good when deployed behind the striker. Schurrle is actually a striker that is played on the wings ala Sturridge, which is why we looked at him for a striker in the summer.

Agree4 Disagree1

We'd never get Vidal!

Would be fun if the probable ban of Hazard would give Feruz a chance at first team action. Probably won't happen though

I've never seen such inconsistently at CFC. One week we are brilliant the next embarrassing.i can't work out if it is rafa and him not preparing for games or the players thinking it will be easy as they best a better team week before. Hazard will get a 3 game rest which he probably needs but is not called for IMO, we are missing Moses and mikel and in my opinion we should go for 3 players. Midfield powerhouse someone to take control lead by example(fellaini) someone to play wide so we can not play Oscar or mata wide as mata best down middle and Oscar is not a winger so I'd like(Ben arfa ) and a striker to be our number one and Torres and Ba to compete with them until Torres leaves I don't know who thou realistically as names like falcao cavani thrown about,

I personally hope we're going to show an interest in muniain as well. I reckon he's a top talent and a player who can really bring us something different. Ben Arfa would be fine as well but it'd be awesome seeing muniain in a chelsea shirt

Franco

Agree3 Disagree5

Marin hasn't had enough of a chance but when he has he hasn't looked good enough., but more game time will know for sure. Munian or isco would be great but they more central I think.. Need someone to be out on touch line and take players on.,

Marin for me all day long. he will hog the left flank all day. I watched him for years, werder ruined him his last season ther playing him centrally. drop oscar centre with luiz or ramires, play marin. BLUEBOY1

The way chelsea are at the minute is extremely dissapointing. the way I have seen it for the past few years anyhow lol. IF we had kept mourinho back the, Chelsea FC would be absolutely untouchable by now, the manchester clubs would be out of sight every season!!! bring him back and allow him to start this proccess all over again.

Last night they made us look average

Agree11 Disagree1

As a neutral (my team are not even in the prem) I was astonished by the Chelsea performances and attitude in the two games against Swansea. Many years ago my work took me to London and I took the opportunity to watch London football. I always enjoyed Chelsea because they played attractive and positive football. In these two recent games it was almost as if they played for a 0-0, and last night to see balls being played from the offensive third back to the goalkeeper whilst 2-0 behind on aggregate was beyond belief. Were I a Chelsea fan (especially those old enough to remember Kerry Dixon et al) I would not renew my season ticket if the current management structure is to remain.

I have said it before and I will say it again, bring back jose. Madrid players are not happy with him, so it looks like he will be available in the summer. I would take a top four finish over any trophy this season. I don't disagree with the team rafa put out last night as apart from JT, that was probably our best 11.But I do disagree with the subs he made and tends to make on a regular basis. He swaps two defenders towards the end of the game. Bearing in mind we are two down and have marin on the bench. I don't know about the rest of you guys but I can't seem to shake off my dislike for rafa as our manager. Our play is very good at times, especially against the so called top 6 teams in the premiership. But when we come up against the more physical sides we look really poor. I don't think oscar hazard and mata works as they all look for that hole behind the striker which in turn gives us no width which again has not helped our forwards. We also seem to be counterd really easily. Signings I think would benefit the team:
Fellani.
Shaw
Cavani
Schurlle.
Brining back de bruyne and lukaku along with courtois in the summer. And please bring back jose.

yes bring back jose...whose not wanted at real...players...
would be ideal with chelsea players...in the dressing room..
we will have another player supremacy..
terry, cole, lampard and jose...vs rest of chelsea...

Agree6 Disagree7

I don't actually agree with that comment. When jose was manager, as a fan I went to every game expecting to win. Knowing every player was here for trophys not money, all pulling in same direction with knowone answering above mourinho. I do understand what your saying, o just don't agree. At the end of the day you should be played on peformances not reputation. So if the old guard are still performing, they deserve to play.

NWBLUE

He will go to man u

Agree2 Disagree6

Jose needs to be brought back, what we lack is the passion the 'old guard used to show. Something Jose instilled into that team, I don't mean kicking bellboys, I mean a desire to win EVER game.
Ww'

Agree2 Disagree4

Jose got bigger than the club

Agree5 Disagree1

Who cares!! He was a winner and so were we, yes some of the football wasn't great, but this time the players he would be working with are different and prehaps more capable of playing the football that our owner wants to watch.

Agree1 Disagree4

Fergie is bigger than united.

There's one guy we shd go all out to get in d summer: Luke Shaw. Loan him back till Cole leaves. That guy will be great.
BB

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Yes, he will be-but forget him, he is happy where he is and will be signing a long term contract as soon as he turns 18.
He has no interest in being number 23 on your list of players out on loan!

Agree3 Disagree0

He wants to play for us. He said he's a fan. And what's more after the hazard incident last night he came to the defense of Eden straight away and wouldn't back down.

Said it before and I'll keep saying it, at this stage of his career if lamps is not scoring then he's useless because he doesn't do anything else well enough to help the team.

Believable7 Unbelievable3

It's true, he was obviously schooled today, had no impact whatsoever. I hope we sign a top player this window, I'd sell my nan to have fellaini join us!What are the chances eds?
