Hi Ed, i'd like to know if kevin de bryne is still part of our plans for the upcoming season cos it seems he may just turn out to be a waste and hence a loss due to d players we're going for in the transfer market {Ed002's Note - KdB will likely be going on loan.}

ED002 how many bids for lucas moura have we have turned down?

BLUEBLOOD {Ed002's Note - Nearly a sentence.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It is a big risk if we do sign Lucas Moura as it would be around the £40 mark and for a 19 yr old that is a huge amount he may not even settle the talent is there for sure ED for Chelsea IF we were to get Hazard would be interest in Hulk drop as a result and vice versa?

BLUE1905 {Ed002's Note - Somehow the question is not clear.}

Agree0 Disagree0

IF we signed Hazard would the interest we have in Hulk drop as they are similiar player's?

BLUE1905 {Ed002's Note - Why not wait to see what happens.}

Hey ED, is it true that Hazard wants to join Man United, and will do so by 2nd June?

Thanks ED!

No, he simply said that he would decide between Manchester city/utd and chelsea by that date

Hi ed, how is the manager hunt going for Chelsea? any chance of Di Matteo on a one year rolling contract?

Hey Ed,

I just read that chelsea may be weighing up an offer to munich for Robben even though he sighned a new deal since then he has had some harsh stick from his fans and there is obviously the well document fall out with ribery as well so any truth in the fact chelsea may be willing to make a bid or is it more plastic journalism ?

ChelskiBlueBoi

Believable1 Unbelievable0

It's my personal belief that a move for Robben would be even more detrimental to our strike force. For a player who gets in the positions he does the amount of times he does, he only has 5 assists this year. When I've seen him play he's been greedy and made some bad decisions through that. Look at the Champions League final - cuts in, head down, go for goal.. not even a look at his options. People on here berate Sturridge for the same thing. At his age, too, and having just signed a new deal, he wouldn't be cheap. Just my thoughts..

I would be happy with these signings:

Apzilicueta
Fernando Reges
Moura
Hazard
Schurrle
Striker?

I know there are alot of players there, but as ED has pointed out that these two years are going to be when we rebuild the squad, and I'm not saying that these players will come in over this single window, but maybe the next. As the ED has said (hehe that rhymes), we are interested in all of these players, and they could be possibilities. I would think that we need to bring in players to replace Drogba, Malouda, Kalou and Malouda but also to have extra attacking players. I mean look the other night, it was a brilliant evening for the club, but we lack real width and attack minded wingers. I mean Kalou was alright, but not up to the standards of Hazard or Moura. If we had these players then it would give us more of a dimension.

Ed, i would like to ask whether it is true that if Moura did sign for us, would he go on loan and is there any update on Lucas Oscampos?

What do you think Chaps?

PR!

Believable1 Unbelievable1

I only really can comment on players i have seen play at least a few times and researched them, more than a couple of mins on YouTube. Shurrle i had never heard of probably like a lot of other English football fans, he seemed to be a very promising talent last year but this year he hasn't lived up to the hype, for the price they'd want and his last years form plus i wouldn't suggest he should be a summer signing.

Moura is an amazing dribbler and has blistering speed and acceleration and to me that can translate to any league, is he going to be expensive, yes, are his wages going to be huge, i wouldnt have thought so plus the lad is 19, hes not going to be another buy and loan out project so i would really love us to sign him.

Hazard is a fantastic footballer, probably the best European talent in the world, his football is crazy good but his personality is childish and he is playing with clubs fans and the media like their his little toy, could he be managed, yes, but if Barcelona or Madrid came calling for him in a season he could be a Carlos Tevez in waiting.

Im sorry but a lot of people have been putting Cesar Apzilicueta in a dream team and their ideal RB purchase, has anyone seen him play? apart from youtube and apart from Ed mentioning his name, i have heard mixed reports on the player, my 1st choice would be Kyle Walker then Micah Richards.

We only need to buy a striker if Torres goes, we have Torres, Lukaku, Sturridge, we dont need anymore, if we bought HULK like i hope we will then he could be an emergency striker.

Just my views and im not attacking anyone personally.

PB

Agree1 Disagree0

Hazard the best European talent ? He's not fit to lace CR7 boots, think before you post.
Cfcmatt.

Agree0 Disagree1

Totally agree with the Cesar statement! I'd much rather have Van Der Wiel, he's better built for the prem, fast, strong, 6 foot tall and better equipped in the air. I'm sorry to burst everyone's bubble who wants a Barcelona style Chelsea, but the reality is that you need tall players in the prem, big players can head a ball, you need to be stable from corners and free kicks. Van Der Wiel is a must for me if Ivanovic is going to carry on throwing a strop about playing RB. Otherwise Ivanovic is a solid RB who is excellent and doing the primary role of a RB, and that's defend!

Agree2 Disagree0

Cfc matt, i dont want to start a massive argument but ronaldo doesnt count as a talent(usually used to describe youngsters) because he is already at the age where he has peaked physically and game play wise. You cant compare ronaldo and hazard as hazars is 21 and ronaldo is 25 almost 26. Im not saying that hazard will be better or even on par, but we should wait and see.
Jono

Agree2 Disagree0

Correction ronaldo is 27. Even mote reason not to compare.
Jono

Yer you can compare them cfcmatt just did that when he said hazard isnt fit to lace ronaldos boots

Ahhhh, I see. The conference has taken place, but as usual, Ron Gourlays conference was under strict embargo. Stories from that press conference are to be released late tonight/tomorrow mornings papers.

And i assume ED is under embargo too?

I Watched the game live (one game we would never forget)but I wasn't able to post on the site, been busy as hell with work. So I'm Just checking the site for the first time since Friday. I Read some great posts and some really annoying ones from knobs like puzzled that made me wish I read them in time so I could have given him a piss of my mind. Well my point is since I started using the site we've sheared some good ,some bad and some ugly posts but it has been the weirdest season ever, a good kind of weird though, some where in heaven it was written we would be champions of Europe some day, I mean after all our bad luck in the past 8 years we finally got some luck of our own and thank God the lads took it. To all the lads who believed on here the likes of Melbourne, SHED, osgoodisking, jono, aL, cfc matt, ELI, FT9, pinky,BLUEBOY1,carefree,PB,PR,JM10, of course let's not forget ED002 :)and the rest of u blue boys that post on here I didn't mention made the season a lot more exciting before and after every game. We did it and frankly I don't care how ,all I know is we are champions of europe and its going to be a great summer for us . Great site, great fans , great team . Up chelsea!

It's a waiting game as it reported tht hazard has agreed terms with three parties! My guess is city utd n Chelsea

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hazard needs to shut it and let people know when he is signed on the dotted line. He does far too much talking for my liking.

23 May 2012 18:38:13
Lucas Moura is extremely good, we should defininately buy him; Hazard, yes, again very good. Hulk, Falcao, yes very good, but should we buy them? Personally i'm prepared to put my faith in Torres... Modric, good target, but if not him; Central Midfielder? Any suggestions? Lampard just too attacking... Either way we are gonna do well next season, little or no transfers.

By the way, apparentley hazard is gonna decide after the belgium match... Which one will it be, why not chelsea!
Bluejooosh

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Hulk would be a brilliant player to play wide right of Torres, he gets a lot of goals from there and would go some way to solve our right side issue.

all this hazard buisness is getting boring i for one do not want to see him at chelsea his attitude stinks and hes only half the player mata and ramires are i would rather see moura or hulk at chelsea atleast they are going to be less prone to having tantrums and being complete tools as for van der wiel at right back hes over rated in a poor league why do we need a right back when ivanovic is still there go for richards or walker i can think of many right backs better than van der wiel and i dont understand why everyone seems to want essien to go although mikel is starting to look like hes able to play football would like to see higuain join chelsea but wouldnt want torres to leave as for falcao he wouldnt cut it in the prem porto and atheltico could make the likes of bendtner look half decent not sayin falcaos poor but hes not as great as everyone makes out its a longshot but chelsea should test madrid on how willing they are to keep hold of ozil team next year cech ivanovic terry luiz cole ramires lamps hulk ozil mata torres/higuain ur probably all going to disagree and starting hurling abuse but im over it already

Believable1 Unbelievable3

Why such a bitchy last sentence? Well i say sentence, that implies you're using punctuation. Falcao is world class mate are you mad?

Defence…

From a personal point of view I don’t see that much needs to be changed with our defence, I’m very happy with both the personnel at left and centre back and so long as he is happy to play there Ivanovic is a very reliable right back; however right back does remain the only real problem area.

Ferriera and Bosingwa will no longer be Chelsea players at the start of next season leaving Ivanovic as our only experienced right back, so do we make a new signing or look for a youth player to complete a similar role as Bertrand has this year?

Hutchinson will remain with the first team as a utility defender, can play right or centre back, but we’ll still probably need another option. Kane had a fine season for the youth team and was part of the squad that travelled to Munich so he is obviously one for the future, but not next season. Kane should see some game time out on loan at a Championship club to get some first team experience. There is also young Billy Clifford who has already spent some time out on loan and played during pre-season with the first team last year; after which he signed a new four year deal. Clifford must be looking at either more involvement with the first team or a move away from the club, would he be ready to step up the way Bertrand has? Probably not!

So with Kane not ready and Clifford probably failing to meet the grade a new signing appears the more likely option out of the two.

A few players have been linked to us however Cesar Azpiliqueta is the rumour that has stuck around; the Van Der Wiel rumour has also hung around in the background but I expect Real Madrid to push for, and get, his signing.

On another note, it would be interesting to see if Chalobah gets a loan?!.

Bruma and Van Aanholt to both leave in the summer and Kalas to get another loan, preferably in England.

Summer signings…Azpiliqueta

Leave during the summer…Bosingwa, Ferriera, Bruma, Van Aanholt

Loaned out next season…Kane, Chalobah (maybe), Delac

In squad next season…Terry, Luiz, Cahill, Ivanovic, Cole, Bertrand, Azpiliqueta, Hutchinson, Clifford (maybe)

Surewould

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Agree with that, Bruma and PVA wont cut it for me aswell, i would send Chalobah out on loan i still think he needs to find his position, LB is good for a couple of seasons, CB is good for another season, Kalas will stay where he is for a season then come back to the first team squad i imagine, i really rate him. We'll see more of Hutch this year. Like you say just a man short at RB, other than that our defence is looking good. Solid post

Hulk- £35,000,000
Falcao- £40,000,000

Hi Ed,

Very appreciative of the time you put in, I have read the posts below but I have 2 quick questions:

1. From what I can ascertain it seems bids may have been made for Lucas Moura and Hazard, is there potential to sign both, or is it a case of one or the other ?

2. In regards to managers I hope Di Matteo is given the job, but are you aware of who else is in consideration/being interviewed? The papers seem to mention Capello which I would not like to see.

Many Thanks,
Joe

For all that Drogba has done for the club we should retire his number as he is going to go down in history as one of our greatest players! True legend!

Nick88ftl

Yes, and then retire Lamps number and Terry's and Cech's and Cole's. And have our team play with #88, 77, 99 all that.

I'm sure there arebetter ways to celebrate their legacy, than this.
