Hi Ed002, hope u had a good time in tel aviv and ur other travels!

we spoke about wallace a while back but how likely would u say chelsea to sign him is?

Thanks keep up the good work and forget the numpty's!! {Ed002's Note -Hi - Wallace will happen. A better question may be "would Chelsea use any of their Fluminense options as trading for another player?" Perhaps something to think about in the longer term.

Do you mean in the Neymar deal ED002?

ED018 Have you heard anything on Neymar since yesterday? {Ed018's Note - nope}

Believable0 Unbelievable3

Neymar wont come.

Anyone see the Santos v Penarol game on SSports?? Did you see the huge kick off on the pitch and Neymar run in full pelt and swing his £40million left foot at an opposition player from 2 feet.....and miss !!! Say No to Neymar !!

Believable2 Unbelievable14

Well, apparently you tuned in just after the final whistle. Because if you have *actually* ever watched Neymar play you would see that, even though he plays on the left and crosses with his left, he predominantly uses his right foot to score. I would go as far to say that he's stronger with his right. So your lame attempt at humour with the "£40million left foot" comment doesn't really fly.

What's really funny is how most (if not all) of the Neymar detractors appear to get their "facts" second hand from forums or their mates, because they've obviously never watched him play.

Agree8 Disagree2

And for £40 million I would expect him to be able to shoot from a few yards with BOTH feet.. Mug

Agree1 Disagree6

Then you've never seen him play... Mug

Agree5 Disagree0

"Shoot"? We're talking football here, not basketball.

Neymar can score with his left, as well as with his head. He just prefers his right foot for scoring - like C. Ronaldo. Neymar's crosses and passes are pretty damned accurate, so it isn't like he can't use his left foot.

Ignorant posts like those from the O.P. aren't even necessary if they take the time to watch the players. It's obvious that he/she has a personal issue with the player which has nothing to do with his on field skills.

Does anyone on here really want Neymar to sign ??. Great player, pace, finishing etc but I could really do without a sulky teenager at the Bridge..bad enough having sulky 30 year olds. This kid, if he came, would be off at the first sign that Barca or Real batted their eyelashes. I hope AVB buys good players who are hungry and wants to play for us, to me thats worth a few points a season.. C'mon you mighty Blues

Hey Ed, Im not one to believe what I read in papers, but I saw an article today saying Falcao could be a replacement for Torres? Is Chelsea (Abramovich) actually considering selling him this summer? {Ed018's Note - i read the same story earlier and find that very very hard to believe.}

Believable0 Unbelievable8

I read about this at Tribalfootball... which makes The Daily Star and Goal.com seem legitimate.

Agree8 Disagree0

Torres is going nowhere, neither is Luiz. You think Chelsea are daft enough to get rid of these 2 players so soon.

So Ashley & Cheryl Cole are back together - John Terry will be pleased!

4-3-3 has been Chelsea's formation for the best part of the decade! Of Course he would fit in! But on the other hand, we already have Torres and Drogba to fill the position that Falcao plays, so I doubt he would get into the starting line-up.

Also, Hulk would be PERFECT for Chelsea's 4-3-3 formation, and he would play RW, but his release clause is close to £100mill so unfortunatley it would be highly unlikely that we sell him :(

Moutihno is also perfect for chelsea as an attacking midfielder, and it is likely that we would buy him.

----------------------------------------

Obviously it has been our formation largely in use under the Abramovich era, but surely ever since the Mourinho days we have seen a move away from the typical 4-3-3 shape season by season.

With a 50 million price tag, it's hard to envisage Torres being left out on the regular in spite of form and therefore a Torres Falcao duo doesn't seem to fit in to a 4-3-3, my original point.

Why would we sign Falcao if he is just going to sit on the bench?!

A traditional 4-3-3 in my eyes anyway, involves two out and out wingers who will hug the touchline, of which we have none. Malouda is our only clear wide player and he likes to drift inside and narrow the play anyway.

A creative midfielder is a must, as is an injection of pace into the team.

Believable1 Unbelievable8

The Falcao detractors are always under the assumption that Drogba, Malouda, Anelka, and Kalou are untouchable. I can see all of them candidates for selling, although I doubt all 4 would go.

That said, Falcao is a player I can see fitting in nicely with Chelsea.

Any chance of us getting Falcao AND Hulk? {Ed018's Note - Falcao yes, Hulk im not so sure. his release clause in his contract is somewhere around 90 million and Porto has said they will not negotiate on their players}

Ed, When do you think the Neymar situation will become clearer? frankly i have no idea what to believe, sick of the media, contrasting reports, but maybe they lean towards madrid? So do you know, are we talking days? weeks? Whats your feeling? Stay Rm or Chelsea? I dont care about facts or anything, just your gut feeling...coz mine is a bad one :(. Thanks Ed. {Ed002's Note - It is impossible for me to say anything about Neymar right now because it will lead to a major amount of grief from certain posters. Cmon ed002 forgot the person people that post rubbish can u tell us who is the most likely to land him now?

Believable1 Unbelievable4

23 Jun 2011 13:32:19

it baffles me how some people thinks. I hate to see some post or asks stupid questions as if the are player football manager. With the signing of villa boas it is evident that the club is giving a serious thought to the future of the club with the FFP coming soon. While neymar could be bought, the same cannot be said of kaka, eto, aguero, hulk or any other stupid names you are suggesting. The aim is now to buy young players with cheap value and proming future, hence the interest in de bruyne and courtois. Pls stop treating the eds as a puppet to share your fantasy with.

Believable0 Unbelievable6

Relax. This is a Chelsea banter site. These kind of crazy questions go with the territory. I'm sure that the Admin. and editors were aware of this when they started this place. If you don't like stupid posts, do as I do and just ignore them. The editors do for the most part. I'm sure that they don't post a lot that is submitted.

Ed Falcao will be a great buy,
I'm from Oporto, and the talk in my area
Is that Falcao is the top target,
He's a great European buy, he will smash the
Premier league, good news as he looks like he wants
To come and is dedicated to a move? {Ed002's Note - Your IP address places you in Houslow. I assume you are here on holiday.}

Believable6 Unbelievable1

Poster said 'from' not 'lives there now'

Assume he has contact with people who live there still. {Ed002's Note - So when he continued the sentence and said "and the talk in my area" immediately afterwards was he talking about Houslow or was taking in to account outlying places like West Drayton and Uxbridge do you think?}

Agree7 Disagree0

Class response Ed !!!

Agree1 Disagree5

Don't get me wrong I think he/she could have put it more clearly.

Although I expect when the phrase 'my area' was used that he/she was referring to Oporto still. {Ed002's Note - Just accept it was some kid from Hounslow skipping school for the day.}

Agree0 Disagree5

I'm obviously to trusting! I'll rely on your greater perception in future.

Thank you for the info you provide. I understand that this site must be frustrating for you sometimes, but I for one appreciate any insights you will be able to give over the coming weeks. {Ed002's Note - I apprfeciate it.}

Chelsea could accept the offer for Luiz as they would get a profit from it 6m to be ezact if chelsea want new plaers they could let him go and use that to bring in more players I personally dont want him to leave as I think he is a great player. CHELSEA FOR LIFE

Agree5 Disagree0

"Yea cos yous are gonna get trampled all over thats y your sayin it"

Why don't you grow up, you illiterate? There are many long time Rangers supporters who also support Chelsea (and Linfield). You're proving that you've just recently started to support Chelsea.

Stupid glory hunters..

Neymar is going to go to real Madrid or stay at santos. Let's be honest, we all know he's not coming to us so let's focus on players who actully wants to play for us and not just or the wages.

Believable4 Unbelievable6

What about a look at adel taarbat? cheap at the price and has bags of skill. With the right guidance he could become huge...get him now rather than trying to buy next year for double the money now
