Dont think you can judge any player if they play bad or great I think the pre season games have all been to a poor standard ok people have done some good things here and there but the oppositions been poor we need to be tested more.

I think everyone needs to lay off Salah lately. Ok so he hasn't impressed in pre season but a lot of our players have looked quite rusty. You don't exactly want to over exert yourself and pick up a pointless injury. I think Salah's main problem is the fact he is trying to hard to make an impression on JM to be considered as a starter. He seems to want to take a whole team on instead of releasing it earlier. You can't really blame him with the amount of unbelievable competition he has. Also with what's gone on in the past week for him (Egypt potentially calling him up for military duty) his head is bound to be elsewhere. He looked good towards the end of last season in the limited game time he had. Just give him a chance and don't judge players off pre season form. that's always a bad thing to do

Just curious, what formation you would use and how would you have everyone play? Would you like tiki taka, trick shots/passes, faster play, wingplay,down the middle what is it youd like chn? Do you see our team passing the ball in our half, back to keeper, playing for set plays, wasting time, setting up in a 532 or 4411 or 451 because where i'm standing from were either playing 433 or 4231 for me they're attacking formations, as to our style of play, we play forward, we try to move it fast, we use all areas of pitch and this is just a guess but we spend a 1/3 of game in oppositions half attacking their goal. Chelsea have their own style that's been created by Mou and its made us unbeatable at times since 2004, he has changed his approach slightly but is set to certain standards which in my opinion are the right ones. Hard work on and off ball, don't give possesion away cheaply and be switched on tactically for full 90 min. If that means our no 10 having to break his bollix for 90 min then so be it, if it means our wide players cross or pass to recycle posession instead of running into dead ends? I know what you're on about though and I assure you its a mirage, we might seem slow at times but watch out for this next game; transision from defence to attack and vice versa no other team better than us at it, take pride in our style its unique and with the right players unbeatable, for gods sake in the last ten years we should have won the Champions League at least twice more, against united and when iniesta knicked us out in 94th min that year or the goal that never was. Ok can't rant anymore just stop moaning that's all
4231 or 451 is dominant defensive formation where you defend with 6 players. With given players Chelsea would be most effective playing 433 off. Cause than you attack with 5 players and defend with 5 players.as well. In JMs case and given players since from four wingers only Schurrle is winger- striker and other 3 are winger-midfielders JMs 433off.would rather look like 4141 since he is insisting that his wingers track opponents outer backs.

Hope everyone saw Boga's goal tonight. What a cool and composed finish after taking about 4-5 players out of the game. Already been impressive in the last 2 games he's came on. To think the kid is only 16. What a future he has. Looks very special

Brown is fantastic prospect, Baker looks promising, I am afraid Salah might be flop after all. Zouma excellent. V.Ginkel quite good. Bamford isn't lone striker after all more like Schurrle secondary striker. Terry, Cech, Ivanovic and Matic almost perfect as usually.
Every time I see Salah I find myself wishing Liverpool had won the race to sign him - not good enough. Impressed with Luis today, very steady. And Jeremie Boga is the real thing.

Salah is a good attacking play. But so far pre season everyone is so deep and slow.
Actually Salah operates far better when he is on his natural left side. I am afraid JM will waste him on the right wing.

Chn mate, what are you on about? You're actually rating players on pre season games? You do know pre season is mainly for raising aerobic fitness for upcoming season and for our tactical team to asses tactics and also asses younger players within the squad ready to make step up? Its OK to be opinionated but please base it on some sort of logic
I've just observed how Chelsea players started preaseason. Salah didn't have a good game for some period. I don't want to see him as a flop only.I am afraid he might turn to be one especially as JM is forcing him to play right winger-midfielder. From what I saw until now Salah plays much better when he is playing left winger. VanGinkel is positioned more defensively than it's natural for him. I have no intention to slash any player.

I know it's early in pre season, but Salah needs to show big improvements on last season. His touch and control are that of a Sunday league footballer.

Woody to be honest in January I came on here and I was quite furious at us signing Salah. We had Atsu, Piazon, B. Traore and T. Hazard( who to me is a whole lot better). We shouldn't have signed him simple as. Like in January I got slaughtered to give Salah a chance but if we are being honest we have 4 young players who are just as good if not better than him and still a lot of room for improvement. Just my opinion though. Be happy if he proves me wrong.
P.S. Its good to be back 4 days away from transfers cleared my head, sad though Ed002 isn't still back. :-(.
I agree on Salah. I thought Baker looked more like a first team player than Salah, and Boga as well. Boy, what a goal that was. He is so very exciting, his close control is absolutely astonishing.
Was also impressed with Romeu late on. His tackling is really good. Van Ginkel is very agressive in the tackle and looks defensively sound. I think with Chalobah staying and Mikel or Ramires leaving we should be fine for next season in midfield.
But can't stress this enough: Boga is amazing. Looked far better than Salah and I think Baker could be a useful player as well.
Look how the rest of the team has been playing around him! No one has played a decent ball to him. And even then the rest of the team are playing too deep and slow.
Boga will be sensation in a close future.

What is Salah supposed to be? A winger? If so I'd love to see him given a chance on the left and then he can show us that he can go past a defender and put in a decent cross because playing on the right he struggles to cross a ball as he has no right foot what so ever and this Chelsea team is crying out for some width! I know it is pre season but you would think they are working on a more fast pace tempo style of football rather than the slow predictable football that was used last season. Give me some width Mourinho PLEASE!
