I'd rather be the man that brings out the best in his players, and last season Conte showed that's the most important thing. As much as I'd like one or two more top players beside Hazard, Kante, Courtois, Azpi, Christensen. We have to remember that stellar names don't win nothing.

Good players with on and off field management win things not necessarily big name signings BUT many, not all, get the big name as they bring something special to a team and we need two such players to bring something special and they are NOT Slimani, Crouch, Carroll, Palmieri and 32 year old Dzeko.

How is that the Italian journalists Di Marzio, Romani, Palmeri always are the first to report the reliable news? I mean what's wrong with the English journos ( the only one who seems reliable is Matt Law ) any ideas how these work and how they get their information?

Don't get me wrong Dzeko is a decent player and he will score goals. But I really don't see the sense in this signing, he can't play in the Champions League for us this season as he'll be cup tied, he'll soon be 32, and to top it off he's been on just as bad a goal scoring run as Morata in recent months.
We would honestly be better off with someone like Vardy, who offers us pure pace in the striker position. Vardy would have been a great option for us, especially on the counter.

Vardy would only be able to use his pace if defenses pushed up on Chelsea, the problem is, teams we face usually park the bus.
No point in having pace if there's no space behind to use it.

I would take Vardy in a heartbeat rather than Dzeko who scores but is one paced relying on the ball coming to him. Our problem is a dreadfully slow build up with short passing, tripping over ourselves in front of packed defences never thinking of going over the top to draw that defence. We were at our best when we countered with pace something we rarely do now. Brighton gave us a lot of space and we showed what we could do with longer passes (Musonda) and runs through the middle (Hazard) .

I’d rather sign neither Vardy or Dzeko. Bring Tammy back if needed and wait till end of season. Same with Emerson. 2 ways of seeing the Sandro situation, 1. We got annoyed with Juve/ Sandro last summer, so decided enough was enough. 2. Chelsea know that PSG also want the player and we no longer have the finances to battle against them.
If that’s not the case, I would have waited and carried on with same team and then a big change in summer. Gone all out on Sandro (upgrade on Alonso, rather then Emerson, who the club view as a back up) and then gone all out on a striker to HELP Morata rather then play second fiddle to him. United, City, PSG etc have fantastic benches each match. We don’t and we lack quality in depth all over the park. We need new investment from Somewhere it seems, if Roman has decided to tighten the purse strings a little.

we were a team who wouodnt give players over 30 more dan a 1 year contract now were trying to pay 44 million for 31 year old dzeko what in heavens name is going on at stamford bridge. between andy caroll and peter crouch to ashley barnes and now dzeko the club are losing all ambition.

Ideally Dortmund want replacement in before auba leaves, then want michy and dzeko decides not to come due to playing time so chelsea loan michy and steal auba and to make it even better we get giroud in on loan with option to buy as contes target man, or. we get crouch.

I think Dzeko would be a brilliant signing. 31 and probably has another 2 years at top level. Couldn't ask for a better back up to moratta.

I think you’re happy with Dzeko Shak only because of the names that were being thrown around. I’d rather stick with what we got and then either get someone else in at the end of season or promote Tammy (now) and bring another young striker in. Belotti, the young boy from Genoa. We shouldn’t be handing a 3 year deal to a 31/ 32 year old I’m afraid.
