Personally I would prefer another CM to another striker. We a player who can defend and dictate d pace of the game and further push Cesc up to #10. I'm afraid we might just be caught off guard against bigger teams the way we play. Pogba ma prefered bt almost impossible and Carvalho is just good. Your thoughs guys

Pogba
Barkley
Carvalho

I.personally think fabgregas is a better player in.the deeper role. However do agree with getting another centre mid and play 433 .

Agree0 Disagree0

No need to push fabregas up to the no.10 role we got plenty of players that can play there eg. oscar, willian, hazard even schurrle.

Agree0 Disagree0

Weely Chelsea has Matic and Mikel as CDMs and Cesc, Oscar, Ramires and MVG as offensive CMs. ideal for 433.

Oh boy I do hope we can shift some dead wood this week ie. Torres and a possible loan for Sala maybe even a cheeky 6 month loan to a EPL team for MVG. Our CM is sorted. Yes we would all like to sell john obi, but he is a good squad player, anyone else coming in would expect to start. Our defence is also water tight with the likes of Luis and Zouma on the bench to call on. If RM are interested in Cech we should inquire about Isco, can play number 10 or out wide. Also their young striker Roderigez did well last year when called upon. We could use someone like him as a number 2 or 3 striker, as he would also add that something different. Hope this week is kind to us!

I too hope the club can get some business done this week. However, I think you should never refer to a player as dead wood. They may not perform up to the high standard this club requires, but they still work hard and try their best. You don't have to be Torres' or Mikel's biggest fan and I respect your opinion that he should move on. But to say he is dead wood is being disrespectful towards the player and I don't like seeing that from fans.

I don't mean to be offensive towards you, but I couldn't ignore this.

Oh I don't mean to be offensive, I wasn't one o them booing when Mikels name was called out at the bridge today. But Torres is just marking time and it would be better for both parties if he moved on. I would support anyone in the clubs colours, so saying dead wood isn't meant to be disrespectful, just stating that we're not going to improve whilst they're taking up a squad posistion that could be better filled.

Oh alright mate, good to know :)

Totally agree with Jackson. Torres and Mikel are not perhaps what we want but they are both great squad players and a couple of our first choice players would do well to replicate both these players work rate.
Also blue is the colour said the defence was watertight, I think it was more by luck than judgement today. We shouldn't be torn open by teams like Leicester with much tougher games to come we need to tighten up down the middle of defence.
Apart from that pleased to win and thought willian and rami did well when coming on. No need to mention didier he just did what didier does which is frighten the life out of them even at 36

Defensively I'm little worries, it's great football were playing and trying to play just few times today we got cut open a little easy, worry if that's city or Liverpool. Also Willian impressed me the little he was on, although Oscar was good today Willian in that bomber 10 or in place of shurrle maybe v Everton, costa is 100% opposite to Torres, plays fairly bad but scores when given half chance,

Im sure mourinho will tighten things up in the bigger games like he did last year.

Gotta say it, Oscar was class today. He didn't do a whole lot of the fancy stuff, but he made us tick. He was everywhere on the pitch. I was very impressed with him (second half at least).

First half wasn't good, but the team turned it around. Great to see Costa score. And lastly, Courtois is a BOSS!

Still much room for improvement, but I'm really excited for this season.

I am here with you mate. I am always the one who points out and the weakneses after the match but my big applauds goes to oscar, hazard, courtouis (spelling), and my man of the match ivanovic! At the moment I just see two or three places in starting eleven as changable. Its luiz on lb, and maybe willian getting some game time ahead of oscar/shurle in some games. But in my eyes our starting 11 the last two games was perfect.

Goals win games and thankfully we have 2 of the best finishers in the prem who won us the game today. Iva and Azpi were magnificent, Oscar was very good, Hazard was his usual brilliant self but I think all the credit today has to go Courtois. If that goes in at 0-0 it could've been a much different story. They would've made more defensive subs and dropped even deeper so that was the match defining moment. Fully justifies JMs selection in my opinion. But 6 points out of 6 so far. Some would say a perfect start :)

Ivanovic has been immense but without Courtois's saves we would have been in trouble so I would give it to him. Shocking first half, much improved second.

Have not been able to see the game but what is happening/not happening? DOur first half v Burnley great at times. bit it was just Burnley with due respect etc, and our second half was at best a holding operation to conserve energy. That game slightly reminded me of first game of previous season v Hull - brilliant first half then not much in second.

So just hope we can do it the other way round today.

Am sorry but schurrle is slowing everything down in my opinion he's so predictable cuts inside every time why doesn't he Eva go down line.

Hmmm I don't agree with you. Of course he is not hazard but still gives us something different like his runs behind defenders and of course some good shooting from distance

Torres not in the match day squad could it be a sign that we are finally going to sell him

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think it's pretty clear that we want to sell him, but who's going to buy a striker who doesn't score goals and demands close to £175k per week?

Anyone who criticises the club for not selling him seem to have no idea how difficult it is to make it actually happen

Do Chelsea have an interest in Carlos Vela? If Torres were to leave, he could be an alternative to Destro. He's a good player and would be homegrown, which is really useful.

Cheers guys
