In the 4231 formation, the 3 is pretty much
Covered IMO

First choice of

Oscar-Mata-Hazard !!

With back up of

Sturridge Marin Moses !!

The defensive 4 is fine, get a new rb and all is well.

The pivot 2 should be between Ramires and lampard/essien/romeu

The Striker is obviously going to be Torres , and I am fully positive that we will buy a back up

Ed 018 Why have other sites like Liverpool for example got three Eds and you are trying to cope on your own?
Thanks. {Ed018's Note - they have more like 8 or 9 editors. there has been other editors putting up posts on here. it hasnt been just me these last 2 days}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

ED018 yesterday you said we will make a move for a striker soon who were you talking about? {Ed018's Note - there are certainly efforts being made for Cavani, he seems to be Chelsea's main target, but i'm doubting that a deal can be reached. Obviously Hulk and Schurrle's name are also targets. I would think there will be abig push to bring someone in before the deadline}

David Luiz just tweeted going back to London! So he didn't watch the barca game then. I wouldn't be at all surprise if he goes to barca

KevinCFC {Ed018's Note - he was there for a Nike promotional event}

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Rumours went so mad apparently a chelsea offical came out and said it was a nike promo

Agree1 Disagree0

Ok thanks ed! Just would like ur take on it would u sell him if some1 offerd 30million! I would he to clumsy find myself hanging on to the sofa when some one is running at him in our own box

KevinCFC {Ed018's Note - it really depends on if Chelsea thought 30 million was an acceptable offer, and if Luiz wanted to move. at times he plays very well and other times i wonder what is he possibly thinking. i my self do not want to see him leave and i really think he will continue to get better}

Agree5 Disagree4

Agree with Ed to be honest. I think in a few years he'll be one of the best CB in the world. The "clumsiness" as some people put it isn't really a problem at all, it's his decision making which needs to be sorted out, apart from that he is amazing, and really that's a small thing to fix.

Despite Lukaku featuring last week and scoring for the Baggies, I do wonder why he was sent on loan there and how much playing time he will actually get. They now have 5 strikers and unless they sell one of them i don't see him getting enough game time this year.

Well played ED, you called Moses, another one in the bag for all the doubters.

Anyway, another good signing this summer, he is young , cheap, home grown, and definitely a step up from Kalou. He would be a really good addition to the squad. Now all we need is Azpilicueta and probably a striker. Again good job ED for calling it.

So if I have got this right for example the Liverpool page has three Eds including 002 answering questions and the European Champions have one occassionally?
Would one of the Owners/Eds explain the logic?
Thanks. {Ed018's Note - i think Liverpool has 8 or 9 editors. they recieve far more posts to be delt with than the Chelsea page. like right now there are 75 posts waiting to be delt with on Liverpool, were Chelsea only have 4}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

In actual fact any Ed with ten minutes spare could handle your pages for the day

the Londoners have now met the Latics' valuation, with a statement on the club's official website confirming a fifth offer has been accepted after rejecting four previous attempts.

Accepted

The statement read on Thursday night: "The club can confirm that after four unsuccessful bids from Chelsea for Victor Moses, a fifth bid has today finally met the valuation and terms set by Wigan Athletic and been accepted.

"The player has been given permission to speak with Chelsea."

Nigeria international Moses put in an impressive performance against Chelsea as the Blues won 2-0 at the DW Stadium last Sunday.

His arrival at Stamford Bridge would add to manager Roberto Di Matteo's already impressive summer haul of Eden Hazard, Brazilian starlet Oscar and Marko Marin.

Good results thus far and we have played some lovely football at times but its clear we need a better striker it's got to be cavani for me

Believable1 Unbelievable12

Stand by torres but need back up

we showed that true chelsea spirit last night yet again

difference this season to last season we have the creative players so we can afford to concede the odd goals

Torres isn't getting many clear cut chances but his positioning and running off the ball is excellent.

I've still got faith in him banging them in for us.

SurreyBlue

Agree7 Disagree8

Absolute rubbish he got at least 2/3 balls played through last night he held the ball insted of pushing into the box and allowed reading to get back

Agree9 Disagree4

You lot are a disgrace. hes played 3 scored 2 mancs & reading. if ramires and lamps passed yesterday would have been an easy hatrick, proves he was in the right places at the right time. he had the header he should of done better & his solo run & one cleared off the line v wigan. how do you lot feel about cech lampard mikel and ramires, they have all underperformed but no slating them! BLUEBOY1

Agree1 Disagree5

I never said drop him i said he needs back up and blueboy to be fair the point is hes not scoring hes a striker he needs to score, making good runs isnt good enough for a striker

lamps and mikel have had there fair share of criticisem

i understand you want torres to do well i do too but we need the back up mate

If drogba had scored 2 in 3 you would all be saying complete opposite. i know we need another striker. its now turning to unfair criticism for someone who has started doing his job so far so good. If he scores against newcastle you alll need to drop the criticism of torres and back him. mikel, terry, lampard deserve more so than torres. BLUEBOY1

I do appreciate what ed 002 does on this site and all the rest of them but not answering questions is starting to sound childish ,, come on you,s set up this site for people to ask questions and have a bit of banter with other chelsea supporters ,, without answering questions the site is pritty useless . Also if you answer questions with smart answer,s you have got too except a bit of stick back , its only natural . I dont except this comment to be put up but il write it up anyway . fingers crossed for cavani :)

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Mate firstly ed002 didn't set the site up Ed001 did (go figure). Secondly the site was not set up so that the VOLUNTEERS (Ed's) could answer your questions. It was set up as a site for football enthusiasts could talk about transfers they have heard and to talk about their clubs, banter with other clubs fans. The ed's choose to help out with any knowledge they have.

To call Ed002 childish shows how little you know about the site. In my opinion and I'm sure Ed018 will back me up, Ed002 is the most knowledgeable Ed regarding transfers for all clubs worldwide. By far the most knowledgeable person I've ever come across and have been using the site well over 2 years.

If you think about how many repetitive questions you see on here day after day (during transfer window) then spare a thought for how many the eds have to delete.

I myself don't post really during the windows, anything I need to know is asked and answered on the page already. But I do look forward to Ed002 wit returning after the trolls disappear, along with SHED, Osgoodisking, JG, Jm10, Eli, cozinoz?, curt?, roan and the rest of the lads that follow religiously on the site.

ED018 kills it anyway, what are you all whinging about? We are 2 from 2, Hazard looks a gem, Torres scored, and football is finally f**king back!

Melbourne CFC {Ed018's Note - We have over 50 editors at the present time and Ed002 is the most knowledgable. Guys he will be back don't worry}

Agree4 Disagree2

ED 18 JUST BROKE THE BIGGEST NEWS ON THIS SITE!!
ED002 IS A MAN!
why did he make us all beleve he was a woman?

Agree1 Disagree1

Wow ur stupid it was a joke

some wrote a nice comment too ed002 and he replied your so sweet thanks

to which someone said that was a rather feminine reply and ed002 never actually said he was a woman people jumped to that conclusion so he carried it on

Melbourne

Agree1 Disagree0

I agree with the majority of your statement Melbourne, but i disagree with your point on repetitive questions. Yes they are very annoying and we could do without them, however all of the other clubs sites have this as well. Take a look at the Liverpool site, their dodgy rumours are filled on a daily basis. Also Ed002 is kinda punishing everyone for the actions of a few posters, should just punish the posters instead.

cast your attention towards craig burley the guy is a tool every time ive heard him commentate or be a pundit on a chelsea game all he does is moan or slag us off , even tonight he wasnt overly impressed by hazard

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Can you not find anything better to talk about, rather than what a commentater thinks of our team, how about, the actual game.

Trueblue012

Agree1 Disagree3

Well trueblue, I see where the dude is coming from. If you hear burley give his take on anything regarding us it usually ends with him not being imperessed by our performance or a certain player (even if we play well). He also admitted last night that he wasn't a fan of Torres. He gives us a lot of stick really which is quite annoying so to the original poster I agree he is a tool. Up chelsea.

I must say I was really imperessed last night. The way we played in the second half was breath taking at times, I mean who knew sturridge could pass that well. Hazard is class , he and Juan are brilliant they had this sort of understanding that only a few players in world football have. Oscar again had a good cameo nice touches, and his awareness and maturity at just 20 is unbelievable. Torres did well to score ( yeah he was offside but he has been so unlucky in th last 18months so yeah he'll be taking that one).

All in all love the way we moved the ball around quickly and with purpose, haven't seen us play that way in long time, we do need a back up striker though. I'm positive in a months time we would be a whole lot better.

ELI

Believable3 Unbelievable1

See how our style changed when Mikel came off and Sturridge came on. Point has been proven, keep him out of the squad and drop the defensive formation and style. Seriously how many chances did we have after his departure? We were all over Reading. Hazard has had a fantastic start, 2 pens won and 3 assists in 2 games, if we get Cavani we will trounce anyone if we play like that.

Believable4 Unbelievable4

23 Aug 2012 00:19:17
Cech-5/10. Fair to say not his best game in a Chelsea shirt. Made an error that led to the second Reading goal, apart from that looked competent when called upon.

Iva-6/10. Had a fairly decent game. Had a 15 minute spell in the first half where he was finding it difficult, but made some good forward runs and one vital defensive interseption in the second half.

Cahill. 7/10. Looked very good in the heart of the defence. Scored a great long distance striker as well to swing the moment in Chelsea's favour. You could see that he was helped by the fact that him and Terry had played with each other many times before therefore could easily step in today.

Terry. 6/10. Not much to comment on. Did his job and showed his leadership skills out there. Tried to move the ball forward quickly when we were trailing.

Mikel. 6/10 . Never spectacular but does his job. Attempted to move the ball forward to the more creative players and was mostly successful in doing so.

Lampard.6/10. Took his penalty well. Wasn't his greatest game. He is finding it challenging to be creative in deep midfield.

Ramires.5/10. Had a number of poor touches of the ball. Could have laid the ball off to Torres for an opening goal. Still looked to be recovering from illness.

Mata7/10. Always wanted the ball. Has already developed a good understanding with Hazard, and got in good positions. Unfortunately didn't have his shooting boots on today but was also extremely good in the attacking transitional phase.

Hazard.9/10. Looks like he has settled in rather well. Looked a constant threat on the ball, and was simply too good for Reading with his speed of mind and feet.

Torres. 7/10. Got a goal. Regardless of the offside he was still following in at the back post. Made one superb run in the first half. His hold up play still needs to improve, he also needs to mix he game up slightly more and drop deeper. Basically for 50m in my opinion technically (touch, passing...etc) he should be better.

Sturridge7/10. Looked very lively when he came on. Made some superb runs and only tried on speculative shot. As he matures as a footballer he will learn the right opportunities to pass and when not to.

Oscar.6/10. Showed glimpses of his ability with some nice passing and touches. There were some lose passes in there however plus he was out muscled on a number of occasions plus gave away some free kicks, but still early days.

Meireles. 5/10. Looked shaky on the ball, plus his passing as usual was fairly erratic. Would feel much more comfortable with Essien on the field to hold out for a win.

Disagreeded slightly on a few points...

Cahill- I wouldn't change his score because his goal was so massive, but tbf he allowed his mark a free run across the 18 which led to the 1st goal. Putting his body on him may have sent the header off target.

Torres - No more than a 6, we should expect more from him because he is better than that. That free header he got in front of goal was shocking.

Oscar - Even with the penalty i thought he played better than Lampard and deosn't deserve the same score. Also i will watch the game again but i don't recall him being 'out muscled on a number of occasions', if anything he has exceeded my expectations with the toughness he's shown in the 2 matches thus far especially helping on defense.

If you ask me I would've had Cech lower and mata well lower. That was the worst ive ever seen Juan play.

Essien us finished and can no longer even run well enough to get properly match fit... He gad time last season butcan no longer cut it... The game just bypasses him...

I think Lampard miss passes a lot than anyone in the game...

You forgot Cole, who I think didnt have a very good game 5 - 6 i think. Torres was good in the first half and poor decision making by Ramires cost us another goal and maybe 2( there was also a rerally good chance for a through ball to torres but instead he ran up to the corner flag). Torres was not very good in the second half untilthe equaliser and then he started to play better again.

And who would have thought Ivanovic would have scored in both our PL games. Makes you think that maybe hes coming around to being a fullback more often.

Tonight's match was amazing in my eyes, along with the game at the weekend i have been able to watch Hazard assist in 4 of 6 goals. Tonight we found out that he is a magnificent player with a small ego, playing only for the team. He was one on one with goal with only a defender in his way (keeper went up for corner and only one defender stayed behind) of his first goal, did he go for glory, no he played the ball to a better placed team mate to secure the game... Hazard is quickly becoming a Blue Legend

Good spot....

Not sure he is proving he has a small ego, maybe the opposite. He is soaking up the praise and he will be loving it. He can be as big headed as he likes if he keeps playing the way he has been

I think your find it that hazard has set up 5 of our 6 goals 2 lampard penaltys, 2 for ivanovic and he also set up cahill's 30 yarded.
