Christian Pulisic looking really sharpe pre season. would be hell of a buy. no doubt Bayern in year or so will take him.

I'm guessing Pulisic and Leon Bailey might not be sold by their respective clubs at this time. Maybe next season Leverkusen might look to selling Leon Bailey. I could be wrong though.

Wonder how much Willian being sold would affect hazard pushing to leave, Willian apparently well linked and rated in dressing room. Suppose depends who replacement is,

I'm only guessing as I'm just a fan but reading constantly about possible ins and outs and stumbled upon Mino Riola being occupied with a single client at the minute possibly Donnarumma. Courtois deal apparently all agreed and only waiting for Chelsea to sign a replacement to finalise.
Also Milan have just signed Reina so maybe there is some truth to this.

i would definetly take a gamble on donneruma. bit rocky but could be a real superstar.

broke on sky spirts that we are 1 of 3 teams interested in martial from utd I really hope that he is not who the club want to re0lace hazard shambles if true.

Not good enough yet to replace a player like Hazard but you'd be getting a player who could possibly better be than him in a few years time. If you do sell Hazard my word you'll have a tough time replacing him, i hate it when he plays against us cos he's just ridiculously good, a game changer/ match winner.

Martial will replace Willian. Not hazard.

Bailey will replace Willian.

22 Jul 2018 22:52:01
At the rmoured asking price of £100m, he's not worth replacing anyone.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jul 2018 22:54:45
In addition, what would the fee be for Baily? Surely he would be a vast improvement on Martial?

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jul 2018 07:02:14
I guess a lot of us see him as Willian's replacement not Hazards'. Though reports are saying Hazard's replacement. Every time I see Martial, all I think of was the explosion that came from Monaco. He could be a risk that might pay off just like Willian is a risk that paid off from Anzhi. ManU should really consider selling him cos I don't see him doing well under Mourinho.
I get the feeling that Sarri's brand of football will resurrect his game once more.

Crouch will prob replace willian.

Have you any evidence that we are actually bidding or go to bid for Leon Bailey? I haven’t seen anything that tells me otherwise?

thoughts on rlc guys? i think we can all see he has something ya? my problem with him is he looks so lazy on the pitch at times and doesn't do much work without the ball. so my main question is do you think he's good enough to start for chelsea? personally for me absolutely not . he's lazy and doesn't fit sarri style of play unless he works hard.

i will say this id rather give rlc a chance dan some1 average like drinkwater or bakayoko or fabregas who can't run. at least with the ball rlc is capable of magic and sarri is a manager capable of getting him to the next level . but just interested in your thoughts about rlc cause i thought he was average any game he played for england at the world cup.

Only my opinion but he has the physical aspects, goes past players easily enough, not sure if he has that bit of quality needed for big team, it’s ok at palace having a good game then few quiet games bit a team going for trophies etc. time will tell. I hope he is around because I want him and others to get there chance in Europa and cups. Sarri is well know for not changing his preferred 11 thou.

22 Jul 2018 14:43:02
I too don’t think he’s suited to a Sarri team but with the way the club is run what’s to say Sarri will still be here in two years time. If we sold RLC I think it would be a mistake but a year or two out on loan would benefit him and the club more. Certainly think he’s capable of playing for Chelsea but for his progress he need to be in a starting 11 every week.

Magic: Spot on. He has a massive amount of talent BUT watching him he does not make runs or put in a shift when he hasn't got the ball. If you watch him he spends too much time walking around exactly the criticism level at him by Mourinho.

I saw his stats at the World Cup and he covered more miles than any player on the pitch other than Henderson. Trouble is he’s played out wide for Palace and England which I don’t think really suits him. It’s not so much him playing well it’s more that he’s actually had a chance last season. If he was to stay, I see him fighting for the more attacking spot in a 3 man midfield. Again, trouble with that is he faces competition from Barkley, who has all the attributes to nail that spot now he’s fit. Another issue is that we seem to still be linked with more midfielders. Just my opinion but he either stays and fights for a place or he asks to leave, and not another loan. This is probably the most important season of his career. Whatever happens, he’s a very talented guy, who obviously wants to do well because you see him beat himself up on the pitch when it goes wrong. With a heavy heart I would perhaps sell him and insert a buy back clause, just an opinion though.

ya i agree on all yer points not sure if hel ever cut it at chelsea definetly a loan will be the obvious option let the boy play an have fun at palace or somewere no pressure on him der.

I know this might be an unpopular opinion, but I'd actually like to see Pogba join us. He played very well next to Kante at the World Cup, and he could help add some Goals from the midfield. Don't know how he'd fit in Sarri's system though.

I think most Chelsea fans would love it to be honest mate! I just feel like it is very unlikely with how much he would cost and the risk involved. A midfield three of Pogba, Kante and Jorginho would surely be one of, if not the best in the world though! But for what he would cost £90m+ we can invest in players in positions we need far more. Besides if he were to join I think that would be the end of RLC at Chelsea.

I’d love it too. Would be another player who shines away from Jose,

Good day Eds, what's your take on the goalie situation? Do you think we will move Courtois on and sign a new goalie and if yes who are we targeting to replace him?
Also, for Ed001, what's your view on Christensen? Do you think he has what it takes to succeed at the top level? Thanks for your time.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - it really depends on what offers come in, if Madrid do bid for Courtois he will ask to leave and Chelsea won't stand in his way. Other offers would not be of interest to him, so I can only see it being Madrid or no one. I do expect Madrid to come in for him though.

I like Christensen, he just needs to be kept on his toes or he makes silly errors. Reminds me a bit of Rio Ferdinand at that age, he would make silly mistakes by trying to be too composed, rather than just clearing his lines when it was required. I think Christensen will come good when he has experience enough to know when to do what.}

22 Jul 2018 08:40:40
Good post Ed001 who would you go for if Courtois goes? Yeah I agree with Christensen’s evaluation needs to beef up a little imo as well, but so happy he got a chance last year I’d like to think he’s a Sarri style player as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - you need someone who is good with their feet as well under Sarri. Personally think you missed a trick in not getting Patricio. Strakosha would be the one I would suggest. Young but good.}

22 Jul 2018 09:07:47
Hello Ed001. Do you think that if no suitable replacement can be found this summer that there's a chance we keep Courtouis on and risk losing him on a free?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I am sure the club have a number of options in mind if needed.}

22 Jul 2018 09:32:21
Don’t really know that Strakosha guy - do you know if Chelsea have any interest in him?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I don't mate sorry.}

22 Jul 2018 11:54:24
Haven't seen any links to Strakosha I'm afraid, though he's a very good shout. Either Strakosha or Kepa (Bilbao GK) would be my preferences now, but they'd probably be mad expensive right now. So I can see it being a stopgap signing like Butland.

Hey Eds,

Can you now give us a fair bit of idea on what to expect from Chelsea in this Transfer window?

1) Are the board really considering selling Willian?
2) Does Morata want to leave?
3) the Goalkeeper situation?
