Costa sale finally agreed, thank god. He was great whilst he was here, and I will have fond memories of him but the way he’s gone about forcing through a move means I won’t be sad to see the back of him.

I feel a bit sad, to be honest. I think he did a great job for us, and I honestly thought last November, that he'd be our new Drogba.

shame i think him and Morata what have been brilliant but that's football and id rather have an player that wants to play for the club.

I’ve been saying for ages bats hasent fgot a good first touch and his inter play isn’t great but as a backup striker, that’s all he is, he’s great. Everyone expects so much from him but all we need is a striker who can score and we have him. Much better than llorente.

That doesn't make sense. You say he has no reasonable attributes and call him a 'striker'; you expect him to be given the ball to tap in? He is a trier but cannot head the ball and will always score 'some' goals because he is quick and we create a lot but we need more than that. Granted Llorente is older but his first touch is good, not as quick, interplay good and he is very good in the air; not a long term investment but a better target man than Bats for the Fabregas and Willians of this world.

He’s fast strong tall and can finish, he’s touch isn’t Great and he isn’t the best at quick 1-2’s but he’s always in the right position and scores.

Don't want to over react about the youth after one game as I'm not like Joe Tweedie on twitter but I really believe we now have 3 players from the academy who will make it. They are Christensen, Loftus-Cheek and Musonda Jnr.

CHRISTENSEN has such a wise old head on young shoulders. He's not the strongest or the quickest but he reminds me so much of JT. Doesn't matter how physical or fast you are you still need to have a good football brain which Andreas does.

LOFTUS-CHEEK is creating waves at Palace even after only starting three games. He's already their poster boy and player of the month. They've had a poor start but RLC has been their standout player. We know how talented he is and him getting a full season loan under his belt will hopefully bring his work rate on leaps and bounds.

MUSONSA JNR has impressed me the most. He's fearless in what I've seen from Rashford when given the chance or Woodburn for Wales. He's got so much confidence and that's what makes me think he'll make it as he's had setbacks he's still stayed humble and wants to prove his point.

Obviously we have a lot of other good youth players but I don't think they're anywhere near these three. DUJON STERLING is an interesting one as he could make the RWB position his own in this system he's a beast considering his age.

Dead on with Sterling as well. He's got a tremendous amount of ability, and it'll be interesting to see when the club will loan him. Pace, technique and surprising strength.

Christensen might be the coolest man alive :-P He never looks rushed or panicked on the pitch. And even after the Spurs game he started during the interview he didn't seem fazed one bit. Was just like "we did our job, so that's good". Exceptionally intelligent and very very mature.
He'll start vs Stoke and City in the league now. And I do hope the fans don't start taking swipes at him if he makes a mistake. We have to back him fully.

Also, Wednesday was the first time I've seen Ampadu play. Holy hell he looks mature on the pitch. So calm even on his debut. He was ordering his teammates around, pointing out which players to press etc. Very encouraging display from him. He kept his own play simple, but the way he went about it all spoke volumes about where he stands as a player.

this is wht most youngsters are missing! PASSION!

Charly Musonda felt a range of emotions before and during last night’s Carabao Cup victory, and he admitted he was in tears after he netted his first Chelsea goal on the landmark occasion of his full debut for the club.

I haven't said any bad things about C. Musonda previously but I am sorry for every doubtful thoughts that I have had towards the player. THE KID IS going to BE IMMENSE. WOW! I THINK CHELSEA HAS SOMETHING BIG IN MUSONDA.

AMPADU is a Chelsea supporter

Ampdu, who plays in either central defence or midfield, signed from Exeter in the summer. He was included in Wales' most recent senior squad. He turned 17 last week and signed his first professional contract with Chelsea on Monday.

Ampadu said: "Being a Chelsea fan you always dream of making your debut at Stamford Bridge.

Although it was only Nottingham Forest last night, I was just glad to see none of that side to side passing between the back 3 that ultimately goes no where.

Cahill still looked clumsy on the ball and you always feel he could give it away any minute. Defensively Cahill is one of our better CB's especially inside the box, he'll put his body on the line to block anything. Just on the ball he looks so awkward.

Christensen looked good on and off the ball, and he looks for forward passes which I love. He's impressed me everytime he's played this season.

Rudiger, he was immense last night. Set up the first goal with a great assist and also set up another great chance. Rudiger also always looks very comfortable on the ball. He's probably our paciest most athletic CB and he's great at reacting to and clearing balls over the top.

So with Luiz Suspended for Saturday, and Cahill as captain we can expect him to play if we like it or not. Does anyone else feel Cahill would be better in the center of the back 3? I just feel he gets too isolated outside.

So for Saturday my back 3 would be

AZPI-CAHILL-RUDIGER

it's harsh on Christensen and I'd love to see him in Cahill's place, but as captain we have to expect Cahill to start.

I would rather Cahill gets dropped. His the one player that gets my heart racing when he has the ball. He may put his body on the line but that is not enough. Rudiger and Azpi offer so much more than just out their bodies on the line.

Azpi Luis Rudiger.

Totally agree, Cahill does not look comfortable on the outside especially on the left. He is a centre back and a brave one at that. However, am I the only one that thinks making him captain was a mistake? He has never convinced me he can organise a defence like Terry could. Rudiger has to play and he is really warming to his role.

Christensen will start in the center of the 3. It's also why Conte subbed him off yesterday. He's exceptionally intelligent and an outstanding reader of the game. Probably one of the PL's finest CBs already in that regard. If he gets a little stronger then the Sky is the limit for that guy.

Cahill shouldn't start van Stoke. Play Rudiger against them. I would play Cahill against Atletico though. His experience, aerial power and last ditch blocks will be important there.

Cahill is great when it comes to defending in the box so he would probably suit the middle more, as players always beat him down the sides. However he doesn’t really have the passing range/ ability role imo. I do think he’ll start against stoke though.

This would be my team to play Stoke on Saturday. Luiz is suspended and I'm unsure if Pedro is available:

Courtois

Azpi Christensen Rudiger

Moses Bakayoko Kante Alonso

Willian Morata Hazard

Subs:

Caballero, Cahill, Zappacosta, Kenedy, Fabregas, Musonda, Batshuayi.

Really impressed with the whole team. I know we only played forest but it was a great team effort:

Caballero - 5, - doesn’t look the most comfortable in goal but it don’t his first game
Cahill - 5, probably our worst player, didn’t do anything really
Rudiger - 8, has a great game, physically immense and passing was insane
Christensen - 7, good game won a lot o air balls
Fab -8 controlled the midfield passing once again amazing
Bakayoko - 7, very strong and or a defensive midfielder he charges forward a lot which I like.

Hazard - 8, Great dribbling and all round play, but that’s what we get with him, looking almost fully fit
Musonda - 9, great performance, really looking like e deserves a spot in our team
Bats - 8, not the best touch or passing but always in the right position, as a backup striker he doesn’t need to be amazing on the ball just needs to be able to score
Kenedy - 7, good game, has a great shot on him, physically good but a bit inconsistent at times
Zappa - 6, solid game nothin special
Ethan A. - 6.5, came on and controlled te ball well in midfield noting amazing bt for a 17 year I’d very very promising.
