Mata hurts, Lukaku wasn't meant to be, but boy does De bruyne sting a lot. To think we had him still has a lot of years ahead of him and he was a boy hood Chelsea fan, to see him leave and come back so good in just 18 months at city is pretty tough to take. I think we've let go of some stellar players and failed to effectively replace them. Hope things get better for us in the market.

Couldn't agree more. I was really sad to see him go, as I expected him to up his game and become one of the best midfielders in the world. I know he had a bad attitude when he was at the club, but I would have loaned him out instead of selling him.

Exactly right! Losing de bruyne was te worst thing that could have happened.

For the record I can't remember anyone attacking the club at the time KDB got sold. The VAST majority congratulated the club on getting almost £20m for our 6th attacking mid.

For me Azpilicueta was our man of the match last night. He was outstanding and completely shut down Yarmolenko.

Agree as my earlier post would suggest. Would also add that what was different from previous games this season was the huge improvement in quality of our pressing game by whole team. Just a bit short on final ball/strike and lack of JM-approved/trusted back-up to Costa still concerns.

The defence has looked sound in the last 2 games - at last! - and it coincides with Ivanovic being out injured (it's not rocket science, Jose! ) . Also, a shout out for Ramires and Matic who both played well last night. Now if we can only get Hazard performing again.
