I forgot to post about the Brazil game the other night. Did anyone see it? Cuadrado absolutely ripped Filipe Luis. I've got all the confidence in him to become a big player for us next season. If we can't sign the likes of Varane/Stones and Griezmann I don't want to see us waste it on other panic buys like a 30 year old Miranda or just a decent Douglas Costa. Last year we had a majority of players that never played enough. They were Zouma, Loftus-Cheek, Cuadrado and Remy. So we might as well just use them as new signings this season. I think Cuadrado will come good. Modric was rated as the biggest flop in La Liga in his first season and now he's one of their most important players. We will need a new GK to replace Cech which for me albeit unlikely would be Begovic. I also wouldn't mind Keylor Navas or Guaita. I'm not a fan of Rob Green. A new LB to replace Luis for me would be Rahman. A year or two as a rotational player then can come in to the side with Azpilicueta back to RB. We've been linked to Song and Witsel. I rate Song I think he's a decent player and he would also be cheaper and Homegrown. Witsel would be costly and he's never played in the premier league. So all in all if we signed Begovic, Rahman, Song and Falcao I'd be happy with that we just need to utilize Zouma, Loftus-Cheek, Cuadrado and Remy more. Then hopefully the season after we can get a Stones or Varane to replace JT and maybe a Griezmann if Cuadrado doesn't come good.

Totally agree about Cuardrado, he only played a handful of times for us and against Sunderland was looking better. The club and Jose are not mugs and won't listen to the muppets who put him down! RLC made a big difference tonight when he came on for the u'21's against Sweden and will be the next one to break through since JT. Challobah is not good enough I'm afraid. Agree about Zouma and Remy but fear that Remy wants to leave. Also agree about Green, but he is homegrown. I hope Traore gets a work permit as well. Begovic, Rahman, Stones, Song, Griezmann and Falcao in with Cech, Luis, Mikel, Remy and Drogba out.

Green will be ok, just ok, as a 2nd keeper for a season. I don't think Bogovic will leave to be a backup.

Stones is the CB we should be going for, talented and homegrown. As I posted earlier I like Alderweirled and would see a deal seeing him signing and Luis going At. Madrid as decent - but Stones ticks more boxes. Varane isn't happening, not for me anyway. Baba Rahman would be a good replacement for Luis. but I think he stays, at least till January.

Song works as a Mikel replacement, and fits the bill as someone RLC can progress past within the next 12-15mths. I see Pogba joining Barca in 2016, or PSG sooner for an inordinate amount of money. We won't be held to ransom and it'll work out for the best.

Cuadrado might well come good, I don't think he will but he might, however we still need another winger. I'm still positive a deal for Griezmann can be done. this'll be the big money signing of the summer for Chelsea.

Remy will go, sad to see him go as he's been good when given the chance - however he can be the main man at a mid level EPL club and should move on. Bamford should be given till at least January to prove himself behind Costa and Falcao.

So - Green, Stones, Song, Griezmann & Falcao added to the squad and Bamford brought in from loan. That's four home grown players added to the squad. for me it'd be a very impressive summers business!

I've got no problem with Green coming in as a backup for one season- he's not too bad and he's English. Begovic would be great but I seriously doubt he'd be willing to sit on the bench every week. With regards to the defence, I'd like things to probably stay as they are, unless Filipe wants to leave- then I'd go for Rahamn (never seen him but he's young and people seem to rate him). In midfield I honestly have no idea anymore since none of our targets seem likely (apart from Song, great). In this case I'd just like to retain everyone apart from maybe Mikel (if he wants to leave) and use Loftus-Cheek quite a lot. Bertrand Traore to return if given his work permit would be perfect as he can play RW and up top, and if not I'd like to see us go all out for Griezman! Falcao looks likely to sign, not sure how to feel about it however. Looking forward to the new season either way and I don't think we need too many changes! Happy summer guys

Witsel or Song? as Mikel's replacement ( assuming he does want to leave ). I haven't seen a lot of Witsel so maybe Song for me. Pogba won't happen.

Witsel is a excellent player but there is big question park how he would adapt to PL on the other hand Song is proven PL player plus his deal would be a bargain.
Song without any doubt.

I can't say that I've ever really watched much of Witsel (only a few Belgium games really) but all the time I read tweets/ articles etc talking about how good a player he is. This has been since his Benfica days as well. However, with Alex Song I believe he offers nothing more than Mikel, whilst Mikel is defensively much better! Song is a big no from me!

They would both be good acquisitions. I'm guessing Song would be cheaper so maybe slight edge to him, but I'd be happy with either.

If true a real touch of class from Chelsea in giving Petr Cech a sizable payout as a thank you before leaving, now bearing in mind if he does join us it will seriously strengthen our hopes of a real title challenge to me its a fantastic gesture from your club.
Credit where its due most clubs would use the payout to steer a player awaay from a rival but if Chelsea allow him to join us and still recognise his service with this payout it should be recognised as an absolutely class thing to do.

Yeah, didn't you already know that Chelsea is an awesome football club? ;-)
I'm happy the club don't stand in the way of players' wishes, though it's going to suck to see Cech in goal for you guys. If he joins you, you gain a world class keeper. I think a lot of people don't realise how good he still is because Courtois was first choice for us. But that save from Cech on Lukaku in the Everton game this season tells you all you need to know. He's still amazing.
Good luck to Big Pete, wherever he ends up.

I love Cech but finally I got to write this one.

I hoped him can support us a little bit in getting something back from Arsenal. At least a tooth for a tooth, they take our GK, who is one of the best. We could have taken a winger from them - they got many players for that position. However, he was too enthusiastic in signing them that left us a bad position in this deal - we can do anything except accepting that.

Cech can play until late 30s with high quality like Buffon now. he's not a player that over his prime. He will perform well for at least 4 more years.

I'd prefer too see Kalas back than signing Alderweireld if I'm honest. Kalas hasn't been brilliant for Boro but the talents there as we've seen for us last year. You're only as good as who you play with. I'd definately like to see Rahman though he looks a quality player. Bed him in next season see if Ivanovic fades a bit then bring him in for the season after with Azpilicueta shifting to his natural RB berth. What I like about Rahman is that he's quite a physical full back and Mourinho will like that. Kalas, Zouma (although I'd prefer to see him start with his pace over Cahill) and Rahman would be good backup for our natural back four.
