Hey ed. Why would Chelsea agree to buy a player who, if he plays well, who can be bought back by Barca? That doesn't make sense to me. Is there a set amount they would have to pay or something? Thanks.
I'm assuming that there would be a minimum amount they would have to pay, otherwise it would be completely pointless.

i watched the game today as against pompey i nearlly fell asleep again lampard is just not a force no more josh mc is playing better than him maolouda was so awful sturridge was the only player that was going 100 miles an hour trying to pull the team out of there day dream cmon avb you get payed to win games and see things well i hope you realise lampard boswinga mikel kalou malouda need to be replaced we once again had no spark or imagination in midfield just long balls bring in sneijder or pastore and after two games pompey malaysia 2 goals an own goal and a dodgy one isnt good enough so a big profile striker to show torres how its done to bring him to his best again needs to arrive also i.e aguero his old strike partner

PEOPLE - please stop worrying about pre-season form, our best seasons have been on the back of average performances in pre-season games and high intensity of pre-season training. We will spend big and AVB is the man for the job. Up the Chels.
You and i appear to be the only actual supporters of this club, all i see week after week is why haven't we signed anyone and all our best players in our double winning season are past it. its good to see some people are keeping the faith.

Ed, when I still see Malouda and Kalou in the team (starting XI no less), I have a right to panic... and I'm NOT one of those supporters who wants us to spend £150M on new players. But I dread to see how this season ends up with this same washed up lot on the pitch. AVB better have a new job lined up. {Ed018's Note - you should at least put off panicing for another month}
Well, I hope that you're right. But with the things that AVB is saying after matches, I've got to wonder if he's watching the Man Utd v Sounders match on his iPod instead of the mess on the pitch in front of him

Well done to Barca for capturing Sanchez. They didn't have to wait till later. They knew who they wanted and they got him.
Well, it also helped that they are one of the best teams on Earth, just winning the CL (once again). Sanchez WANTED to go there. Face facts, not many star players want to come to Chelsea (no, Modric is not a star). They may drop our name once in awhile, but only to get a contract extension or get Real or Barca to show interest in them.

sanchez has signed for barca...hope this clears up the transfer window a bit...it has become a game of dominoes...every transfer dependent on another one..hope this transfer persuades the other clubs and players to lay their final hand and stop playing this buff-game...

ED, seems that all the playesr are snubbing Chelsea. Aguero, de Rossi, Neymar... what happens? Signing Parker and Moutinho doesn't look enough for winning any competition.
Will you shut up, these players haven't signed for anyone else and if they do it's because we didn't want them in the first place or we don't want to pay ridiculous amounts of money to get them.
Spending money brings success, which we have proven since roman took over.If we want to compete at the highest level then we need to keep spending.I not saying go mad, but the best players nowadays are going for 35m+.what I don't understand is why were willing to gamble on lukaku for 20m when we can get a proven world class striker in aguero for 35m.Modric, mata, aguero, pastore would improve our team.I'm sure we could raise 50m by selling 3-4 players who are past there best.

just watched game in malaysia, another mediocre performance from the blues, for starters we need someone who can create in midfield even thou yossi was probably best mid on show, we need more width for sure, anelka, lampard, mikel are just not good enough, come on avb on that showing you have to try and get the players we need before season starts, to improve the team because that was certainly no where near good enough, you need to act now before it's to late.
Yes act now why let our rivals both home and in europe sign the cream n were left with scraps the way things are going the best we can hope for is 3rd in prem decent cup run and quarter final champ lge were a team on the slide and every 1 around us is getting stronger i love chelsea but i call it how i see it im not blinded by love .shape up or the same thing will happen sacked manager and the same position next year how long does it take to find out that weve probs had 5 of the top 10 managers in the world and still no champs lge simple players cant cut it in there prime 3 years ago so we got no hope now the spine is the wrong side of 30 sort it out please

Watching the game now on Chelsea tv, it's same old rubbish what happened all last season (no width)
It's all central which is simple to deal with if the other team sits deep.we have never replaced robben when he left, this is the type of player we need.On a plus note the young players have been excellent.I think we need:
Pastore or Modric
Falcao or aguero
Bale or mata
Di Maria or robben
Sell:
Anelka
Ferriera
Turnbull
Kalou

anyone else been watching chelsea tv, i know it's only malaysiaXI but there are some pretty promising signs. if we signed modric or pastore and di maria or aguero, and lukaku we'll be looking pretty good. rajkovic looks alright aswell but this is the first i've seen of him.

Watching the chelsea game against malaysia X. chelsea playing goddamn awful. I put it down to Kalou, Malouda and even Lampard why they are playing so badly. I cannot see this team without any buys getting anywher next season.

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani claims the club are not interested in Riccardo Montolivo or Ganso.so is the door still open for chelsea .i never thought ganso would go to milan as its a well known fact that they are skint even with the selling of kaka a 30-40 million player all day so with barca looking at cesc and sanchez and madrid signing sahin and already having loads of atk mids city want nasari nows the time 2 step up and sign a real gem for now and the future other wise within 2-3 years he will be at one of these clubs knocking us out of the champs lge. {Ed002's Note - I would not read too much in to what Galliani has said.}
Regarding Chelsea's transfer drought..i still blame 50M LOSS to that one goal torres...
imagine 50M can bring in new players in every position such as coentrao(already snatched by RM), sanchez(
snatched by Barca) or even Nasri whom all are on high momentum...
