Watching Everton vs Saints. Fellaini is just a Mr. DoesItAll. Passing, positioning, intercepting, shooting, tackling. Dominating everything between the boxes. Said it before, will reiterate it now. We need this fella.

Don't know what game you were watching, yes he won his fair share of headers, being 6ft4 should be a given. Apart from that I thought his passing was average at best, no real threat going forward and as for dominating, well, I think not.
2nd half he dropped back to a more usual centre mid instead of playing off the front man, and thought he couldn't get to grips with the movement of the saints midfield.
He's a good player but for me he ain't what we need.
On the other hand, Luke shaw looks like the real deal to me.

Agree6 Disagree0

I agree, looked decidedly average. Not what we need.

Agree3 Disagree0

Yeah I've gone from hoping southampton get relegated so shaw would be sold to us to hoping they stay up so he can stay there one more year before coming to us when cole leaves the following summer.

Fellaini aren't the right fit for us he aren't nothing special when played cm like everyone wants him for.

Don't know about you guys but I'm quite excited to see who the club may bring in with 10 days left of the transfer window.
I just hope it's not a teenager as we have to many and they are all on loan.
Personally I would love to see a centre mid.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

What an experienced centre mid now where would you get one of those, hmmm........................

dave

Agree2 Disagree8

We are short on centre mids that's why, nothing to do with keeping Lampard.

There hasen t been much newspaper talk on new Chelsea players. Is that we are either not looking for new players or keeping it all behind closed doors

Believable0 Unbelievable2

I think it's more out bigger targets (falcao and cavani) won't move til the summer.

If Mourinho takes over next season, expect wholesome changes to the squad. The most likely to leave (either on loan or permanently) will be Torres, Marin, Turnball, Ferreira, Hilario, Malouda, Romeu. However, Essien, De Bruyne, Lukaku, Courtois will be back, Mikel will be pivotal, and a few other atheletic additions.

Believable1 Unbelievable5

This might give a good balance so the skilled nimble players can do their thing and when required the bigger guys can pitch in

dave

Agree1 Disagree2

Essien will leave

Agree4 Disagree1

Romeu is exactly the type of player that Jose likes. A big presence in midfield and has vision and the ability to pick a pass. He's still young too. I doubt he'll leave.

Can anyone tell me how good markovic is that we are linked with.. What sort player is he .?
Matt

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Lazar Markovic is a young Serbian international who plays for Partizan Belgrade. He is able to operate as a striker, second striker, CF and also as an attacking midfielder. He is known for his blistering pace and as a good dribbler, as well as being quite strong physically. His goal record is quite good considering he is usually deployed as a central attacking midfielder and he could easily operate anywhere across the front three. Recent performances for his club gave him a call-up for the national team and I believe it was November when he scored his first international goal. He was also listed on a international list of the top 15 young footballers you haven't heard of yet (Along with Lucas Piazon :D) and is a real future talent. He has spoken of a preferance to move to Chelsea and says his idols are Frank Lampard and Gianfranco Zola. He also appears to be quite a useful passer which is why I think he could slot in as CF behind a sole striker and act as a "feeder" like David Silva in the Spanish national team. His release clause is rumoured to be around £8.3 million and Chelsea have maintained long term interest in him. Although perhaps not a starter at the moment, Markovic has the desire, drive and ability to be top class. The snippets I have seen of him remind me of a much quicker version of Luis Suarez (Albeit slightly less skillful and much less controversial) and I think he will develop into that kind of technical CF/Striker. Inter Milan, Arsenal and several other cluns are rumoured to be keeping tabs on him but it is unlikely he will move in this window due to Partizan's asking price for him. Expect a possible move in the summer window from Chelsea and possibly two other clubs.
Is that enough information for you? ;)

If it keeps going this way for Fernando, I will genuinely be gutted. So much respect for the guy, was a top, top player at Liverpool, and I still believe he has it in him. The run he made past Vermaelen at the weekend showed he can still come back, maybe not to his best but to a very high level. Yes, he let himself down, but he could do it. I think its just a psychological thing that is stopping him from doing his best, but I also think that it doesn't help that former team-mates like Gerrard find it acceptable to come out and say 'he will regret the move' just to unsettle him even further.
Put your faith in Fernando, the rotation between him and Ba could be what is needed. Also, he will only learn from Ba, so his finishing could improve. Please don't boo the guy, get behind him. He is still a top class talent.
