Any interest from chelsea in Balotelli given the 16m fee agreed by Liverpool? Obviously will depend on torres leaving but is there any interest?

Why not? I wouldon't love balloteli at our team as I do believe that he would bring something special. The only problem would be how him and Costa would share the main striker spot

Liverpool completed Balotelli deal, 16mil. Increase their NET TOTAL SPENDING to 38mil. Arsenal also spent 42mil until now, and they are still looking to strengthen the squad. MU - 64mil, still going to buy more. The last season Champ MC also spent 42mil until now. Even the top 4 contender Everton spent 36mil already. This window, we just paid 11mil. When did we become a penny saver?

{Ed008's Note - Why does it bother you? The squad is clearly stronger then last season and the transfer business has been spot on by Jose identified his targets early got those players in for a full pre-season and I'm confident we will see the success at the end of the season.
Cesc 27m costa 32m Luis 16m hardly saving on the pennies, of Torres / mikel were to leave I'm sure we would spend more

What a ridiculous post. Why does it matter how much Chelsea spend compared to other teams? I would much rather have our squad than any other in the premier league. If you weren't happy with 15-45 mins of the Burnley game then nothing will impress you.

Another fan who thinks we need to sign all the stars, and spend all the money in the world. Jog on and support man city or psg! Looks at our squad! We've got the 2 amazing right backs, who can play left and centre back. We have the biggest and best leader in the prem in jt. We've signed felipe luis. And that bargain we signed from Bolton a few seasons back, so our defence is quality. Our midfield is complete with the old arsenal boy with us and only 27. With matic, ramires the warrior, van ginkel. Then we've got hazard, schurrle, Willian, salah, and Oscar. Drogba and costa. What team has depth in a squad like that?

All the comment above was fine to me except the one from BLUEBOY. Why don't you go and support these teams yourself?
I still think the depth of our squad is not enough. Ivanovic and Terry are in their 30s, Terry will retire next year. Our strike force is just have Costa as a reliable choice. And Chelsea is still looking for a DM plays next to Matic. I can tell that mostly of Chelsea fan still dream about Pogba.

They do daton majority of us dream about pogba. (And as you I find blueboy comment a bit of the mark.) The only problem I see with pogo a deal is place in starting 11, if he comes than in my eyes at least 1 (even 2) of Mikel, ramires or mvg has to leave (be loaned out)

I hope this doesn't annoy ed002 but on the Liverpool page he wrote: Chelsea are in the midst of a deal for another striker so I cannot image would be interested about balotelli who also said on another post that destro was probably going to be transfered. Nothing on Torres being part of the deal but surely he would move if he became 4th choice striker?

We can't accomodate another non homegrown player without selling or loaning a player. It wouldn't make sense to have 4 strikers when Jose uses a formation with 1 striker.
Bringing in Destro, or any other striker for that matter, without selling (or loaning) Torres doesn't make sense to me.

I do believe that we should not care what torres wants to do if he became 4th choice we can always leave him on our reserves as we did with malodorous. It's his best interest to play football and if he want just to sit and pick wages it's again up to him we have good owner and money is not a problem I believe

Apart from chelsea I also support Gillingham in div 1. I reckon at a push, gillingham could afford £4000 a week of his wages, only leaving Chelsea to pay £171000 a week. There you go problem sorted, everyone's a winner, and even Torres might score goals at that level. He would get his confidence back, and Chelsea would have their world class striker back.
