Hi Ed, do the club still maintain an interest in Nevan Subotic and do you expect the club to make an effort to purchase a centre back in the summer?Thanks for your time. {Ed002's Note - No and perhaps.}

Thank you Ed.

I have to say I think Rafa did get the tactics spot on today. Kept them very quiet first half and it wasn't until sturridge came on they looked threatening. BUT that being said, two points shouldn't have been dropped. 6 minutes, almost 7 shouldn't have been added, time should have been blown for after our throw in. Gutted, but on to the next game.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Rafa's substitutions were diabolical.

We drew get over it, it was a point gained not 2 lost. That point will be crucial at end of season. We are still in 3rd being in Europe next season is ours to loose,

mikel needs to be shown the door he is a terrible footballer we won't win much with him in the team

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Totally agree I have been saying this for some time. with him in the team it is like playimg with 10 men.

Agree0 Disagree0

Exactly what I was thinking! He would never be in a champions league winning team. Oh wait.

He was dire against Liverpool showed his true colours the other week showing he couldn't get motivated, never liked him never have. Jog on

Just to let you guys know, there are very few of us not condemning what Suarez did today, his behaviour was disgusting and he should have been sent off. It was a great game and fairly evenly matched, exciting to watch, but I'm not surprised you feel hard done by. Many of us want Suarez banned as well. We know as well as anyone else what it's like to be on the sharp end of the stick, and we count ourselves, as LFC lucky today. We have had some dodgy decisions go against us, and things do even themselves out. I for one now am not really bothered if Suarez leaves as he is damaging the reputation of our great club. I'm just sorry that the match today was over shadowed by the actions of our star striker.

Benitez you have the tactical know how of a frog!

Cant really add to what's already been said week in week out, you keep Torres on the field and leave Ba on the bench and make you first substitutions at 80 mins, what the fxxk is that all about you clown.

The officials were shambolic today, why don't Chelsea report them or at least ask for an explanation why we were still playing at 6mins 40 despite there being 6 mins added time?

When we had a throw on a 6mins 22 I actually started celebrating but hey no outlet up front to get the all up to and the rest is history

Mikel is not a football player and don't try tell me otherwise

Stan

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Im a neutral. But at 6 min 22 I changed channels assuming the ref had blown. Did not get to see the goal {Ed018's Note - no and the ref couldn't find the whistle to blow}

Anyone else think that Suarez might be a fan of Mike Tyson's? {Ed018's Note - I hope not. Tyson was a class way above in the early part of his career}

Ok the fa. Now is your chance to prove that there is not an agenda against chelsea. Torres assaulted by ferdinand, no action, luiz assaulted by aguero no action. Ivanovic assaulted by saurez. What action are you going to take.? Why was 6 mins added? Why was another 30 seconds added? In the time honoured tradition of fair play can you honestly say that there is not an anti chelsea agenda {Ed002's Note - It is nothing whatsoever to do with Chelsea - what has happened or what will consequently happen. Chelsea have one concern - that is the next game. Move on.}

The FA need to have a sit down and a long hard think and change things. The Premier League is becoming a mockery of what it once was. There have been diabolical refereeing decisions the entire season and the FA have been ineffective to say the least.
Referee's decisions have shaped our campaign starting with the Torres red card and Hernandez offside goal which began our decline under RDM and led to his sacking. Aguero's challenge on Luiz and Suarez today have both changed the results of games which have been crucial.
Some referee's need to go back to ref school or kids weekend games as they're clearly not up to standard.
I'm going to try to keep hope that we'll finish in the top4 but if decisions keep going like they have been and Rafa's his usual poor self then I think we'll struggle.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

One day there will have to be possibility of incident replay re. major refereeing decisions given number of times major ones are wrong and effect result of game. In cricket captains allowed 3 challenges of umpire decision per innings. Something like this must be introduced in soccer because we're all seeing huge mistakes and refs looking stupid. Today, arsenal non-penalty v Norwich etc while huge consequences at stake. FA/Blatter et al in earlier century here? VBS

My previous angry post not put up. But as a CFC supporter writing from Cape Town I will rephrase and say (drawing deep breath) that I hope that no decent LFC supporter will defend Suarez (good to see one that won't -- and let's hope the law takes its course properly with LS) and congratulations to our players (esp. BI) for not retaliating. Just hope this brings them together in last few games. They deserve to qualify for ECL. VBS

So many things have left me fuming today!

1 - Did Benitez want us to win? Last week against Man City we were chasing the game, needed 1 goal, Mancini brought on Lescott to add to the defence to see the game out. Today we need to see the game out, he brings on Benayoun for our best player on the day, and then takes off Mata and Oscar! He left us with no out ball and no one capable of getting hold of the ball up top. He invited them onto us and left us with no chance of easing the pressure. Terrible. It was all about sentiment today and it could cost us massively come the end of the season. Giving Nando a full game when he was terrible, and bringing on Benayoun was all down to sentiment. I gave him a chance but today his ridiculous substitutions cost us, and it was all down to his sentiment. Proved he's a complete p***k.

2 - How was it not a foul when Sturridge went through Bertrand? You could see Bertrand was in agony from it and i'm not surprised because it looked awful. It was a booking easily at least.

3 - Where did the ref get 6 minutes from?

4 - The ball was out of play bang on 6 minutes, the ref let us throw it in, get it down their end, them get the ball down and wide, and then cross it in to score? What happened for the ref to add on an extra 30 seconds? Seemed like he was hoping for one last big hurrah and for them to have one last chance.

5 - Suarez. Nothing you can say to that, disgrace. How Ivanovic didn't take his head off i'll never know. He's a shameful player. I don't care how good he is, yes he's one of the best in the world and I would love to have someone with his ability at Chelsea, but biting someone? What sort of person wants to bite someone? It takes a second to throw a punch at someone and lash out, but to grab someones arm and forcefully try and bite them? Someone who does that knows exactly what they're doing because they're doing it so they don't get seen. Coward.

And the last thing to annoy me, and its p***ed me off more than anything, is Benitez's reaction. If this had happened to United, you wouldn't hear the end of it (rightly so), Ferguson would have him hung drawn and quartered. If this happened to us with Jose in charge, you wouldn't hear the end of it. If this was to happen to us and we were playing United, then you can guarantee Benitez would be having a fact rant and complaining to the FA. But the fact this happened against Liverpool and all Benitez can say is he didn't see it, well for me that's it. Until he's gone I honestly can't enjoy watching Chelsea. What must you think if you're Ivanovic and your own manager doesn't back you up because he's still hoping to get a move back to his old club? I'd just think what a kn*b you are and wouldn't want to play for him. I love all our players and our club, whatever they do off the pitch is upto them. As long as they give their all for our club to be the best then i'm happy. I never slated RDM or AVB, because even if results didn't go our way they still give their all for our club. But Benitez doesn't care one bit. He loves Liverpool and has made it abundantly clear whilst he's been here, so to now keep quiet about this so that he doesn't upset his old club. the players will notice that and it won't go down well. Not long til he's gone thankfully.

I wish we had a bit of that old Chelsea today. Imagine having Didier, Ballack, JT, Lamps, Ricki, Ash and Maka on the pitch with Jose on the side line when that happened. Suarez wouldn't have made it to the end of the game, he would have been broken in half. We need Jose back to instil that fighting spirit again, that's what Chelseas all about!

Anyone, i'll leave it there, as you can tell I just needed to vent some anger.

OsgoodIsKing {Ed018's Note - the ref can't justify the 6 minutes or why he didn't blow the whistle after the 6 minutes were up. He shouldn't be allowed to officiate at this level if he can't do the proper job which he proved he cant

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If chelsea hadnt spent most of the game rolling about and wasting time then the ref wouldn't need to add 6minutes, what goes around. {Ed018's Note - are you mistaking that for Carragher whining to the ref every chance he got. What a baby. One player bites another whines.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed but my postings to same effect not being posted -- pity, because never said anything too rude and love this site (ps am working between Cape Town and Cambridge eds). VBS

Agree0 Disagree0

Complain about his tactics but don't complain about Benitez reaction to the bite. yes he still cares about Liverpool and showed it today with his response to the Suarez incident. But don't foreget many of you fans don't want him at the club. He has been told he is not wanted at the end of the season. Why should he care. He is a professional manager who has no feeling for your club because of the way some fans have treated him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks for your honesty mate, to be honest the points are gone so I couldn't care less what happened to him, just like Aguero if he was sent off at the time and we had won then justice would have been done, in both occasions Chelsea are the real losers

Agree0 Disagree0

No respect for Liverpool anymore, Suarez needs a leash and a Hannibal style mask, Carragher should have been sent of for his constant badgering of the ref and these two are considered legends there, awefull stuff.

I genuinly hope never to see Suarez play in the prem again, disgrace of a player and a human being. {Ed018's Note - well said and its all the truth}

Agree0 Disagree0

And what about Mikel and his constant fouling and badgering of referee. No different to Caragher. Ed18 take a more balanced view. Suarez absolute disgace {Ed018's Note - Mikel wasn't badgering the ref as much as Caragher}

Agree0 Disagree0

Carragher was at the ref's side at every foul, whether it was Chelsea or Liverpool, either bagdering him to give out cards or persuade him that it wasn't that bad. His antics were shameful to watch. Mikel made a few fouls and went up to the ref but to compare him to Mikel is stupid. It's behaviour like Carraghers that makes me want to switch to Rugby's point of view whereby the captain can only talk to the ref.

Agree0 Disagree0

What a manager should say in that situation.

"Brana says he was bitten by Suarez and I beleive him. I don't need to see the footage to tell you what should happen now. Brana reacted in the best possible way and he should be applauded for that. "

Thats something Jose or Ferguson would have said, backing their own players. Not hiding their head in the sand.

Hi all is there something I'm missing or is there open season on Chelsea players?
Aguero. river dancing on Luiz
Suarez. Sunday dinner on Ivanonvic
Sturridge. Studs up on Bertrand
Ref. never watched PLay School as a kid and can't tell the time.
Yes you can call it nit picking, but at this end of the season every thing is magnified. so bad decisions that can cost games or precious points look even worse. The games over the points lost so if the ref or persons involved make apologies what does it matter.
Other than that enjoyed the game, we should have won {Ed018's Note -The ref was awful. I can't comprehend how he can work at this level}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I too agree m8, the pull back on torres peed me off. but I have to say bringing benayoun on was a joke eden actually defends quite well. as for mikel he is beyond needed here. terrible passing, missed a lot of tackles slow at tracking back. when lamps came on he was standing off too much. as for the ref 30 seconds over time cost us today, if bertrand did that to sturridge he would have been off. BLUEBOY1

Agree0 Disagree0

I enjoyed the game, was very exciting. Totally agree that the ref was woeful to say the least. I've seen him ref a few other games and he wasn't too great in them either. How someone can get to refereeing at this level and be so poor I have no idea. I didn't think we should have drawn as Suarez should of been sent off etc, but Rafa's subs decisions and timings were awful. Liverpool were on top of us for most of the second half and he did nothing till the 80th minute. Started slow yet again in the second half as we seemingly tend to do ala ManCity. It's going to be a struggle to get top4 now as we have the hardest run in and the most amount of games. Chelsea- Tottenham will be the decider.

Cheated. Ed do you know if the FA can retrospectively award/deduct points due to specific match incidents affecting outcomes? Because the assister (DS) should have been off for the horrid challenge on Bertrand and Suarez should have been off for biting Ivanovic. Hope the FA display some balls and ban him for an undisclosed period of time or ban him permanently from the league. Cheating swine. {Ed018's Note - no that won't happen}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Apr 2013 18:37:30
ref was a joke today, only thing he got right was our pen. Him and the assistant missed Suarez bite, Torres should have had another penalty as he was held back and Sturridge also could have seen red for his challenge on Bertrand. The ref should get a longer ban the Suarez for this performance, absolutely terrible!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Apr 2013 18:31:29
Why did Torres start when Ba can't play in Europa league. Why take hazard off. And why replace him with yossi, I'm fuming. After game rafa should of gone mental and said what us Chelsea fans are thinking. He bottled it as he doesn't wanna ruin any chance of a return. Referee was terrible and I think this is all from the clattenburg incident. Suarez off. Carragher off Sturridge off. Oh well. Reall concerned about 4th now

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Totally agree with all of that we were robbed today referees all against us an inept manager and too many players who don't care.
i am also really concerned about 4th place, we have such a tough run in it will be a miricale if we get top 4.

Why the pessimism? All teams going for top four finish will drop points for sure. Okay we play MU but hopefully they will have won the title by then. We play Spurs so it is in our hands. By the way, I would ban Suarez for 8 games and cancel his goal. Proitos.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Where did the officials get 6 mins extra time and why want the biter already sent off for a blatant attempt at cheating by trying to disguise his handball. At 6mins and 22 secs we had a throw on and the ref could have ended the game but he had his on agenda! what really really annoys me his how Chelsea take this diabolical refereeing display laying down, the ref should have ben lynched by Chelsea coming off the pitch.

The man who bit ivanovich and blatantly handled the ball should have got a red, Chelsea know it Liverpool know it the officials know it but Chelsea always get the simpleton ref

I fear this carve up by the ref is going to cost us dearly {Ed018's Note - The ref was awful today. Shouldn't be working at this level}

Agree0 Disagree0

Yea, last season it was Johnson, this term it's Sturridge. U got to love it. What exactly do our so-called 'superstars' bring to our game that Sturridge lacks? It all goes down to coaching! Each time I watch the lad play, I see the mark of a great player who only needs some patience, confidence and tutelage. Oh, we've got El Nino! And who says Schurlle is better than Sturridge? Plus we're going to pay 22m pounds 'cos he's German.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yeah got to agree, Suarez and Sturridge will be a phenomenal pairing next year. Also look at Scott Sinclair as well. Ok he's not stting the PL a light but if he's good enough now to be a squad player at Man City, why could we not have kept him? To let him go for 500K was stupid.

Agree0 Disagree0

I can't see suarez at liverpool next season!

Agree0 Disagree0

LOL Suarez will NOT be here next season, I can almost guarentee it. Despite what I think of him as a person (deplorable), he's a quality player and should be playing in a Champions League team challenging for titles. Saying that I'd be happy never seeing him play again.

Also to u guys who want Torres to stay because he's hit abit of form look at him today didn't look interested at all, didn't really think much of sturridge at Chelsea but look at the hunger he had to prove a point, Torres had Zero. Back four looked alittle flat Cech had agud game. Don't understand why Ba wasn't used knowing he can't play Thursday or even Moses up front after 60 min because we didn't look like scoring

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Im a red and any decent liverpool fan will agree suarez was a disgrace, but to question the class of the people is bang out of order, most people at the match probably didn't know about it so yes they will be singing his name, but i'm sure hell get what's coming to him, and you'll all be singing for terry. class of the people as you put it works both ways yeah? {Ed018's Note - I know that a lot of the Liverpool supporters on this site are outraged by Suarez}

It's going to be Pellegrini, simply because he'll come and do what he is told to do, he'll be a good boy, and be gone by next February, rather than the horrifically obvious choice of Mourinho, who would transform our club and bring us forward much more than any other manager could if he was given the chance to do so without having his hands tied behind his back by having limited power. It justs goes to show the damage overinflated egos can do and to quote Elton John, it seems for our hierarchy, "sorry seems to be the hardest word". The dream is over and time to forget it. We'll regret this, trusting a former girls school coach over the best manager in the world, the gift that keeps on giving.

Deluded and whiny people like you sour the name "Chelsea fan". Oh boo hoo we aren't going to get one world class coach but rather another, which considering none of this is confirmed makes your little winge more baffling. I personally would like to see a manager that can adapt the the current Chelsea squad rather than one that will need to spend absurd amounts of money to build a new one.

Grow up.

I was stating what might happen given the recent history. Don't take the moral high ground with me regarding being a Chelsea fan, you'll see why I am so angry in a few months time.

Your opinion, my opinion says your wrong. If you don't like how the club has been since Roman took over stop supporting the club. Will get the best manager we can who will manage within the perimeters that the club deems acceptable. If you don't like it support Arsenal.
