Yes we were good last night, yes we can beat Genk, Everton, Swansea etc. When are going to beat MU and Barca? Wher are we going to start coping with the pace of those teams? Our game has been one dimensional and only now with the introduction of Mata, Sturridge and the surging of Ramires we have started exploring different dimensions. Still habe a long time to go I am afraid. {Ed018's Note - we havent even played Barca in recent seasons. and we were a bit unfortunate against United earlier this season. we are playing well and i believe we appear to be playing faster and more direct this year compared to last}
I think we are improving game on game. Players like Sturridge, Mata and Meireles have really made a difference this season, and we are looking like a team who can maintain possesion and create chances in equal measure. The game against Arsenal will be a real indicator as to how both teams are doing. Both teams have lost to Man U but IMO both have improved since, i expect us to win when it comes round but it wont be a win based on strength and brute force which would have been the case in the past 6-7 seasons. I think we are a team on the rise and will only get better
We did look good last night yes they are not as good as Barca or the likes. This season even against Utd we have looked lively and seem to be getting better every time we play, Utd on the other hand dont seem to be as good as they first looked. Torres is close to his best, Mata looks quality, Ramires has improved as have the rest of the team under AVB, I honestly belive we are in for a great season and I have not seen us play this well for a long long time. Last season in certain games we never looked like scoring, the players looked disinterested. This season we are playing with real flair and look like we can score for fun, we can only beat the teams we are playing and from what I have seen since Utd we have done so convincingly.
"Torres is close to his best" LOL - youtube his first 50 for Liverpool. Thats Fernando at his best, Genk's defense is poor. I admit he is improving but no where near his top ability i.e. before his injuries. He looks like he is performing at 60% compared to his previous life. You aint seen nothing yet... baring injuries he should be back to top form in the new year.
