The way chelsea are playing now reminds of the way we played when scolari lost the dressing room, players not interested.
And i'm hearing a lot about playing Luiz in defensive midfield, i'd play him left back instead of cole, cole is absolutely useless when he passes the halfway, he has no right foot, cant cross a ball, and mostly just passes back inside to JT, but is generally solid at the back,

I don't think AVB will be around much longer. Bad move bringing him in.

When will Chelsea play their best XI?!! Cech; Ivanovic, Terry, Alex, Cole; Meireles, Lampard, Ramires; Mata, Torres, Sturridge!

Essien coming back will be like a new signing. Mikel is worthless - either bring in Meireles, or give Romeu/McEachran a chance for once!

Luiz has proved he a liabilty and should be dropped. In fact, send him to Stoke on loan. That'll toughen him up and teach him some sense!

I don't think terrys been too good. Don't understand what Alex has done wrong!

Alex is the best cb at the club and he dont start!!

I dont think Torres should be in the best XI

When alex has played we havent conceded. plus hes always dangerous with free kicks. chelsea wont get any bettyer till the the old guard r gone and a new lie of players are in

Alex better than Cahill; Sturridge got a tap in goal, but didn't offer much otherwise; still not enough pace in attack; no tricky winger; defensive line too high; avb doesn't seem to know his best team, and players don't seem too settled either!

Yh alex is better than cahil but cahil is faster and hes english we need homegrown players. i dont think avb likes alex i think alex cud play in defensiive mid hed probably do btgr than mikel

I would swap carroll for torres if you want?
He would probably suit your play a lot more.The long ball game.

You chelsea fans are all the same.When your defending badly or not scoring goals your first answer is to buy multi million pound players.when will you realize that this will not work.You need to build a team not just have some good individual players.I am a Liverpool fan and i admit that adam and lucas aren't the best players (even though they played well today) but they play for the manager and try there very best.Your players do not do this. AVB will be sacked soon.

Danny mate sorry but your mental if you would swap Torres back for Carroll. At least Carroll has an excuse for not setting the world alite yet as he's only 22, Torres is just plain crap! Plus I think that Carroll has improved a lot and he will outscore Torres by the end of the season no problem.

Lets get real. Chelsea r not going to spend that amount of money in Jan. Possibly 2 players will come in, De Bruyne and 1 other. We need a right back and creative centre midfielder although this may have to wait to the summer. If Chelsea get knocked out of the group stages of the CL and end outside the top 4 we're in serious trouble re incoming players who all want to play in CL

Cech, Bosingwa, Terry, Cole, Lampard, Anelka, Drogba, Kalou and esp Mikel should be moved on. Build a team around these players as follows:

GK
RB Alex CD LB
Meireles Luiz LCM
RW Torres Mata

Ivano, Sturridge & Lukaku as back-up. Let AVB build his team.

Its too easy everyone playing fantasy football spending another £200million on five or six players. Realistically we need a couple of players brought in with a couple moved on for January. I didn't understand the meireles signing. I think meireles is a good player just we need a midfielder like him. We wanted Modric and didn't get him. We should of had alternatives in mind with similar qualities to Modric, low centre of gravity, intelligent excellent ball retention. I think this type of midfielder is essential to play a fluent passing game. I hope this club has players in mind to bring these qualities to our midfield. The other essential signing for me is a fast wide player with the ability to beat people. The best example of this we have seen in recent years is Robben and I don't think these players grow on trees. Signing players like Cahill at the expense of Alex is not going to improve anything. Was de bruyne really that impressive against us and is he ready for the premier league. We got to have faith that our strikers come good cause money wise that's where we get our fingers burnt the most.

40mil for marin could get sneijder or modric for that plus there way better players

Since buying Torres it has totally upset the team, we upset Drogba, Anelka and some of the old guard, please get real and get rid. Send him back to Liverpool NOW!!!

Yeah get rid Torres and keep a two 33yr old players instead, good thinking,

Chelsea have done the same as Don Revie did all those years ago,let his team grow old together,we need an influx of younger talented players,we are now miles behind the likes of Man City,Man Utd,and once again Liverpool hunbled us on our own patch,dont think AVBs the man to do it though.

2 33 year old players are better than 1 27 year old who cant score for toffee, and those 33 year old players won us the league and saved our season last year, have a little loyalty. thats all torres has done is taken 50 million and sat on the bench moaning.

Get rid and Buy a Striker who can score and wants to be here, hes more interested in congratulating his ex mates and smiling after a loss

As a Liverpool fan I would prefer it if you kept Torres. We don't do refunds on dodgy products sorry.

Apparently were going for VDW Cahill Tiote and Higuain in jan so ur wish is abramovic's command except the rm

I dont really get the Cahill hype, he is a season'd player in the premier league and was available for a similar if not cheaper price than Phil Jones but yet not one big club made a serious approach for him. Mats Hummels is the best young CB in the world hands down. We need to be going after him instead.

Tiote doesnt bring flair, creativity or anything we need in my opinion, hes a similar player to Ramires. We need technical ability, creativity and PACE. We never replaced Robben or Duff. I say get Hoilett in january as he has a expiring contract along with targeting a creative midfielder.

Then when we get to next summer, we can rebuild properly with more time and can buy non cup tied players.

we have become a poor side, we are a very slow team the movement is awful its not just today's result that that suggest's this we cannot defend anymore we are worse now than when ancellotti was here avb is tactically awful he likes the old brigade too much and surely this will cost him is job, i cannot see us finishing in the top four with this team to many weak players ie mikel malouda drogba lampard anelka bosingwa even jt is not the player he was, we need width new centre back new full back new centre mid back, the club is old new ideas asap are needed come on roman please sort this out we are being left behind

As I stated earlier about the team selection I am really worried for us this season after watching that game. We will struggle. Chelsea have it all on to finish in the top 4. The way other teams r playing compared to us we could finish as low as 6th. If we lose on Wed we will struggle to qualify out of the group. What will Roman think then. JT was poor, Luiz makes terrible decisions. No creativity from the middle. Poor Torres how is he feeling.

a poor showing today, mikel is not good enough, lampard is finished so is drogba, malouda is awful, ivanovic is not a right back avb's tactics are terrible, the club is in deep trouble might not qualify for champs league later stages, avb surely will be gone if this continues he does need time to gel his own team players that have to go are malouda, mikel, drogba, anelka, kalou, luiz needs to be in midfield, the club has to invest in the right players asap or we will become an average prem league team, the manager has to stand up and be counted now or he's gone

Really disappointed in the selection but we'll just have to wait and see. AVB is said to be looking at bringing in a younger team. I see no sign of any change. It is basically the same side as last year and we weren't good enough then. I would have played romeu in place of Mikel, Sturridge in place of Malouda and Torres in place of Drogba. Younger, more pace and hunger.
