I would love to see Chelsea go out and bring in quality, dynamic fullbacks this Summer (Transfer Ban Permitting) . It's the most important position in the team in the modern era and this one improvement would bring the best out of Jorginho, our wide forwards and striker. I love Azpilicueta, a Chelsea Legend and one of the best defenders around but in an attacking sense He is far from great tbh.
I like the look of Reece James but at 19 and moving up from the Championship is He the answer right now, I'm not so sure.

Don't think it'd be wise to invest in fullbacks when you've got guys like James and Aina still on your books. They're plenty good enough I'm sure.
Need the money to fix the real positions of need. Striker and perhaps winger, plus a rotational option for Kante/ Jorginho.

It's not an either or situation for Me. I would want Us to address a multitude of positions in the squad. Including more goals from Our Midfield and Forwards but I can't help thinking they would naturally improve with high quality attacking fullbacks in the side.
Compare our fullback play to any number of sides and imo it leaves a lot to be desired.
Maybe the fullbacks We need are already connected to the Club (Da Silva, James, Aina) but will the fans expect too much of them to soon.
Interesting times ahead, that's for sure.

Striker, RW and LB are the three most important and I’d even say a Ruben replacement because he might not come back the same and Barkley ain’t it.
Vardy, Pepe and Chilwell would be my three.
Ziyech to replace RLC his buyout clause is like 40 million it’s a no brainer.

You don't buy players to replace injured ones unless it's career ending or something like that.
We have Mount who is tailor made for that LCM spot in our lineup. Bring him back while Ruben is recovering. When Ruben is back fit you van reassess and see who needs to go out to make room. 2 out of Barkley, Ruben and Mount should be kept at all times. So while Ruben is out, Mount should be in at least.
