Everton fan ere, would u lot be happy to pay the reported £100m for stones an lukaku or do u think there are better players available for that sort ov fee?

Stones is absoloute rubbish mate and I personally never rated lukaku he's lazy and some games seem to completely drift by him I would want either any were near Chelsea.

I would do £50m for Lukaku but I would be very hesitant to touch Stones at the moment. His performances this season go without saying which combined with the growth of guys like Christensen makes it extremely hard to justify for anything like the numbers talked about last year.

That's my opinion of lukaku too mate I would bite ya hand off for some decent money his goals hide his lack of first touch and his inability to hold the ball up, and stones is too cocky mate over hyped primadonna wouldn't be missed in my opinion, just wanted to know how u lot thought about the supposed deal.

I think Stones has lacked real defensive coaching, he's been allowed to get away with mucking around with the ball in the wrong areas far too much. Wouldn't go anywhere near him for the £40m being banded around last summer - and I really wanted us to sign him then too.

Lukaku does go missing, sometimes for entire games, but his goal record for his age is absolutely stunning. I'd have him back at Chelsea tomorrow. Wouldn't be disappointed with a £50m deal for him.

Stones I can take him or leave him so for considering the price being asked and the rise of Christensen and the promise of atleast one of clarke salter or tomori breaking through makes it seem rather pointless to me.
Lukaku i'd love to have back and I know he has his faults but anyone scoring 25 goals a season for a team in the bottom half a t his age is worth a good price tag. Think how many he may score if he had hazard and fabregas picking him out so for me i'd only go for lukaku and be willing to pay between 40-60 million for him. Stones at the price being asked however I could leave considering we need a centre back that can play well consistently now and the fact we have our own promising centre halfs.

Another point re. (in defence of) Lukaku.

Compare his record with that of Alvaro Morata. Both lads are 23 and both are being touted for moves this summer for around the same high fees and wages. Lukaku, playing in a much more competitive league, has a much better goal scoring record. Morata's goal scoring record is, well it's really poor; he's never had a double figure goal scoring league season in pro football - Dom Solanke had a better goals to game ratio in Holland this past season!

I know where I'd rather Roman spent his rubles!

I'd take both. Not for £100m though. Both experienced premiership players. Both young, international experienced, what more could you want? Problem with buying foreign players in is they have to adapt to the speed and intensity of the league and that can take time. And to be fair that's one thing you don't get at Chelsea - time.

So yes I'd take both but not for the £100m, nearer to £75-£80m then yes.

Take them both all day long. Ed02 regularly says don't get caught up in the money side of things. Doesn't matter to us.

If it was me
Signing players this season/ summer I would go get Gonzalo higuian if Napoli left him go he's top class in his prime go get him and he will win you a league . Lukaku is to inconsistent to lazy to many games pass him bye I would be extremely dissapointed if we were stupid enough to pay 50 million for him I never rated him still don't the semi final of the fa cup against Man U summed him up really for me . Higuian naingolan and Kante or pjanic wouldn't be bad buisness at all who knows who conte wants do time will tell and experienced player like bonucci would be nice.

Games pass him - is that because of the side he's playing in? With our attaching players surely he'd have more chances wouldn't he? and if he can score goals in that side what about ours?

Morata has 11 goals in a team that is superior to all other teams in that league by quite a margin, being setup by pogba dybala and marchisio. While lukaku scored 25 in a team who came 11th in a much more competitive league while being setup by people like Aaron Lennon Ross Barkley and Gareth Barry.
Yes lukaku has a bad first touch and moratas all round game is better but the stats don't lie.

Alright ed just wondered why my post didn't show on who was the team who bid for Sane?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea why it did not get posted - perhaps because you should try the European pages - it is nothing whatsoever to do with Chelsea.}

Think ed said it was man city.

Ed, i imagine you're getting battered with questions at the moment what with it being silly season - should CFC fans lower their expectations of anything much happening in the next month, given the new managers involvement in the Euros?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - No.}

Es, I have read the posts but cannot see an update on Chelsea possibly re signing Lukaku. Also do you have any idea on any of the Chelsea squad pushing to leave the club (Costa, hazard, courtois for example.

{Ed002's Note - You would need the Everton page regarding Lukaku. I am not aware of people pushing to leave.}
