Christensen fit for Spurs, but to wear a mask this would be my team.

Kepa/ Caballero

Rudiger Zouma Tomori

James Jorginho Kovacic Alonso

Willian Giroud Mount.

Considering Spurs will no doubt play with 10 men behind the ball playing 343 will make it difficult to break them down. But since we have soo many injuries i think that'll be the team Lampard will pick. I do hope if Lampard decides to stick with a 433 he gives Anjorin a chance. Play Jorginho, Kovacic and Anjorin in the midfield with Mount, Willian and Giroud as our forwards. Anjorin has the physicality to compete with Spurs and he offers us the creativity we desperately need.

That would be mine as well as it utilises the players we do have available to best effect.
I am not holding my breath though as the manager seems more interested in maintaining his style of play rather than winning matches.

LondonBlue I would love to see Anjorin given a chance but Frank doesn’t seem to like it right now maybe we have too many youngsters? Not like Willian or Azpilicueta are playing out their skin.

Mark, maybe but when the experienced players aren't performing i don't see why he shouldn't give Anjorin a try. Bar Kovacic our youth players have been outperforming the experienced ones.
Kepa, Reece, Zouma, Tomori, Azpi, Jorginho, Kovacic, Anjorin, Mount, Giroud, Willian. Only 4 youth products would start and i think this team would do really well against Spurs.

Totally agree but I’d prefer to see Christensen tried holding midfield over Jorginho as he’s still good on the ball and physically and aerially better. I’d like to see this:

Kepa/ Caballero

James Zouma Tomori Emerson

Kovacic Christensen Anjorin

Willian Giroud Mount

Think that’s the best we’ve got for now and then Loftus-Cheek, CHO and Pulisic in when they return. I’d like to see Giroud get a run in the team.

With current performances do you see big Frank as manager next season are the club hierarchy happy with the direction he is taking the team?

This time last year it was obvious sarri was under sever pressure and the club wouldn't stand in his way if he chose to leave
Conte the same the year before and Jose we all know what happened there
Just curious as to whether they are happy with what's happening on the pitch.

Yes, the club knew this was a transition year. They are already actively signing Lampard targets (Ziyech) .

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Feb 2020 17:37:52
I can't imagine they are happy about our appalling form in the last three months.
If things don't improve and for example we finish 7th you can forget the rhetoric about this being a transition season.
The only thing that might sway the club is identifying a replacement who would be prepared to continue developing the younger players.

20 Feb 2020 21:55:10
Why can we forget that rhetoric Turvey? We had a better squad in Jose's final season, no Hazard for most the year and finished 10th. Any kind of European football for Frank is a massive success.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Feb 2020 22:58:06
You know that the squad was at odds with Jose in a major way and he had lost the dressing room.
I don't see the club watching any further meltdown this season without considering the future of the manager.
They have a track record for taking these decisions and I don't see that changing.

I will not be able to attend our match against Spurs on Saturday. I obviously believe we will win comfortably.

I think Lamps will play with a back three of Dave, Rudiger and Tomori. The wing backs will be James and Alonso.

The midfield will be Kovacic, Jorginho and Barkley with Mount playing just behind Giroud.

COME on MY MIGHTY BLUES.

{Ed047's Note - is Kante injured?

20 Feb 2020 10:06:35
Yes he's out for 3/ 6 weeks.

20 Feb 2020 10:06:48
Yep, supposedly out for a minimum of three weeks but probably won’t be back until after the international break.

20 Feb 2020 10:35:37
So that’s Kante, Pulisic, Tammy still a doubt as we.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Feb 2020 09:45:48
Yup he suffered a pretty bad injury, apparently : (.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed047's Note - that’s not good, he seems to have suffered a few lately, he’s a big miss.

20 Feb 2020 11:13:40
I can't remember if it was an Ed or a someone else (think Ed001?) who pointed towards Kante picking up more injuries whilst playing further up the field and being asked to cover more ground; but they were definetly right. He's a work horse, unfortunately he's being worked into the ground in his current role.

Tom, I agree, with injuries etc, we'll see a back three vs. Spurs. For me it'd be the same back three, same wingbacks, but Kovacic, Jorginho sitting whilst Mount plays off Willian and Giroud.

Ideally i'd like to see a fully fit RLC instead of Mount, I think Mount needs a rest and I also think Barkley is a car crash of a player. Then again I spent a good portion of last week saying Wan-Bissaka couldn't cross a ball, hopefully I'm proved wrong again if Barkley plays.

Wonderful player and a big miss Ed but for he hasn’t been 100% fit tall season. Let’s hope this potential extended absence will put him spot on for the final few games and the Champions League final. Haha!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed047's Note - that’s he real shame, he’s just so good. Who you fancying in the final then Tom? 😉

20 Feb 2020 13:17:44
Athletico Madrid Ed. Could be the only way we qualify for next season Champions League!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed047's Note - wow, you don’t want it easy then Tom! 🤣

20 Feb 2020 13:38:05
If I wanted it easy I would have said Spurs or Liverpool.

Kovacic, Ampadu, Loftus-Cheek midfield next season a perfect trio.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

20 Feb 2020 10:15:27
From what Ed002 has intimated, I wouldn't be expecting to see RLB that often.

Kovacic Ampadu Milinkovic-Savic perhaps.

But I'm still hoping Frank sees sense and plays our one truly World Class player in his proper position: Kante.

Agree1 Disagree0

20 Feb 2020 11:16:16
Ampadu may well be the vocal leader our defence needs, would like to see how a CB partnership of him and Tomori would develop.

Kovacic and Kante as a midfield two, rotate RLC and Mount in a more forward role.

Agree1 Disagree0

20 Feb 2020 12:57:28
Do we have strong interest in Milinkovic-Savic? I've seen a lot of our fans talk about him recently but i haven't seen reliable reports linking him to us. Would be a good addition to the team, i assume a move would happen if Kante was to leave though.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - They have been teasing you.}

20 Feb 2020 14:47:21
Haha, i thought so Ed. I'm sure i'll be seeing many more random names before the summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Feb 2020 16:08:34
Ampadu and Tomori is too small for a CB pair.

Agree1 Disagree0

19 Feb 2020 23:48:25
My word, Ampadu looked class tonight. The passes he completed and the composure he showed was brilliant, was probably my MOTM. He could definitely do a job for us as a CB or CDM, hopefully he's with the 1st team next season. A CB that can do those cross field passes to the winger is very effective and something our CB's don't do enough.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

20 Feb 2020 07:51:18
I agree mate. He looked classy.

20 Feb 2020 11:18:12
MOTM for me was Werner. He is everything I want our striker to be, Hungry for goals, works extremely hard, has this aggressiviness that Abraham is missing, and boy can definitely score.
