How did Drogba not win the award ? Load of rubbish Brooksy

Believable4 Unbelievable3

Yeah I thought he deserved it but toure was fantastic last year as well which hurts me to say because the guy is a mug.

Tk

Agree0 Disagree0

Yaya toure had a better all round season. Drogba just turned it on at the end

Agree2 Disagree3

Drogba was rubbish under avb hardly scored at all

One Point and one question.....

Firstly can we all please forget about Pep. He is clearly talented but also lucky to have had five or six of the worlds best players come through the academy in five or six years. Perhaps City have the right idea trying to copy their infrastructure? Either way, breaking the bank for Pep doesn't make such obvious sense!

Secondly, Eds we're all totes excite about the idea of Falcao, does his third party ownership help us? Apparently it may?

Thanks Eds as ever for your efforts, Up The Blues {Ed002's Note - It needs to be resolved as part of any deal. It should neither help not hinder.}

Eds I always see thinks about clubs not buying players and then the players they get in and what a mistake it is.. For
Example Liverpool could of brought falcao for 6 million but didnt and Porto signed him and how Liverpool chose to buy Jordan Henderson instead if Mario goatze.. are there any cases like this for Chelsea.. I am aware it pointless question just interested. {Ed002's Note - It is well known that Liverpool missed out on every player ever sold.}

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Haha ok well cheers anyway mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah there is one.....

AGUERO!

A11

Agree2 Disagree3

Aguero was asking for stupid wages and we wouldn't give him that. I think that's a touch different.

Tk

Agree2 Disagree1

Zlatsn ibtahimovic was given trial at arsenal but they refused instead of signing him.. Anything like that for us. Not players that were to exspencive or wage demands etc

Agree0 Disagree0

Arsenal offered Ibrahimovic a trial and it was him who refused to except it. More fool arsen.

Agree0 Disagree0

Zlatan doesn'tdo trials !

Geffro

Agree0 Disagree0

Ericsson for a trial

Ryan

Agree1 Disagree0

Been there, done that Ryan. The only time we will be seeing him at the Bridge is during European games.

Ryan was just answering the original question Melbourne

Realise that now, cheers mate, sorry Ryan.

IMPORTANT : I know all the talk is of transfers but i have something quite important to add..

I'm watching Waterboy and thinking of Eden Hazard ! Are they related ? Sh*t they look like brothers LOL

I have to say I thought Lamps was immense last night. Stood up to the physical threat and gave it back both physically and verbally. A really important, powerful, commanding display. Typifies the leadership required by our new stars if we are to win PL again at some stage. CTID

Believable6 Unbelievable3

It's bit of a problem when the games he is really good are against championship teams, I hope he stays til end of year and takes the money from America or France,

ED

I have no doubt in my mind if Roman wants Falcao he will pay the buy out clause. We are Falcao and 2 decent holding midfielders away from destroying everybody.

Merry Xmas

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Absolutely agree,
as Ramires is suited to a 3 man midfield and isn't a good enough passer of the ball or have good ball retention.
Mikel does a job but is lacking is areas.
Romeu out injured and has potential. Lampard's time is almost over though I want him to retire at Chelsea.

A11

Agree3 Disagree1

I got slated for suggesting we need 2 holding midfielders last night! so be careful in wot u say

Curt ,you get slated all the time ,because you are very annoying

i was just thinking about who actully is the best allround player like atacking and defending its a tough one

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Dembele

Agree1 Disagree4

Yaya toure easy one

Agree8 Disagree0

I was thinking yaya aswell

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Dec 2012 21:34:34
before he was injured repeatley Michael Essien was the best all around midfielder. Agree or not

Agree11 Disagree1

Add : de Rossi, Xabi alonso, and Ballack and Gerrard in their prime to that list.
Wanyama has the potential to be absolute quality as well !

Agree4 Disagree0

21 Dec 2012 12:37:32
I agree with Ballack for sure but if we are going to mention Germans dont for Lothar Mattius(sorry for the spelling)

What's everyones take on the Europa draw? I'm pleased with Prague but probably happier with Ajax in the last 16 (if we get there). Will be a cracking tie, and they will be well up for it. Time to take Europa League seriously.

Melbourne CFC

Believable9 Unbelievable0

Good draw really , to be honest we could we could have had a worse draw mel. Cech is going home so let's hope he celebrates that with a win and at the other round we get Ajax. We could actually get a godd run at this. Culd be a good test for the young lads.

P.S. It is really weird but I am more excited about this than I thought I would be. Power of the blue army I guess.

ELI

Agree4 Disagree3

Truely? very embarrassed to be in it ,
i will have no interest in it ,its like playing in the championship to me,many wont agree but its the truth, and my opinion that im entitled to before i get slaughtered.

ktbffh

Agree7 Disagree8

I'm happy enough with the draw, Ajax will be a sterner test when we go through.

The tournament is also useful in terms of finances and European coefficient. So I wouldn't be too embarrassed about competing in it!

Does Falcao have any doubts/worries on London as a city or Chelsea's training facilities? What's the point of him visiting Cobham training ground ahead of a potential signing? Eds, pls I need clarity on this.
BB. {Ed002's Note - I have no idea what his views are on the city. He will visit to be shown around the facilities - it is no big deal.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It can only be a good thing BB. If he wasn't interested in the move he wouldn't come, and if Athletico weren't open to him leaving they wouldn't let him. All signs point to Falcao to Chelsea in Jan!

Melbourne CFC

Agree2 Disagree2

So the story that he will visit Cobham is correct then ED? {Ed002's Note - The offer is there.}

Agree3 Disagree0

I imagine its not due to his worries more for us to show off our facilities and let him see how good everything is here,

Agree1 Disagree0

20 Dec 2012 15:20:58
Hope he comes, but I'm afraid of the numbers being discussed. {Ed002's Note - You shouldn't be afraid of numbers. Black bears with chainsaws chasing you, perhaps.}

Agree5 Disagree0

I once got chased by a koala with a pen knife and that was scary enough.
If we get him and he is prolific as he is for Atletico M then any money is worth it

Sev

20 Dec 2012 19:58:28
Actually the numbers don't scare me, but what he turns out to be for us. Hope it's not another Sheva/Torres.

Here we are all hoping and praying that jose mourinho will return home to the bridnnnnge at the end of the season.
most pundits seem to think that he is the heir apparent at old trafford.
what if he decides to go there?
will it change our perception of him with regards to loyalty and respect? if he comes to the bridge as their manager, will he be booed?

food for thought.

20 Dec 2012 13:16:43
Our problem is more of stability than hiring a coach of Mourinho's calibre. Mourinho's Madrid are equally struggling this term with a much better squad than ours, can't u see?

Agree4 Disagree0

Tbh I think if Mourinho were to manage any other London club or United it would definitely damage his status among Chelsea fans and he would most likely be booed. The only team I see him being able to join without being booed is City.

Agree2 Disagree8

21 Dec 2012 02:43:45
If he goes to united it will really piss me off and lot of other fans. Looking at the teams in the league the only teams i can think he will manage are us, united and city. But i think city are trying to replicate barca and with appointments of Txiki Begiristain and Ferran soriano i think they will try and bring pep. That leaves us and manu. Edd 002,18 and the regulars in your opinion do you see jose taking over at man u

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Dec 2012 11:30:05
Reading everything eds have said and falcao seen promising and hopefully once he has seen out facilities he will be excited to join.. On other hand shurrle I'm not so keen on. As he is striker/winger prob means we are keeping Torres which is good but I'd prefer falcao and another out and out striker.. Hunteelar wud be cheap but likely to go arsenal, remy going Newcastle but wud like to see him at CFC, llorente we haven't inquired but likely juve, bony I think is pointless as we have lukaku on lone, I am not sure what Jackson Martinez is like but has a good record so January will be good, going to game Boxing Day nd can't wait to watch hazard Oscar pull strings,, not same on tv so loping forward to it

Believable4 Unbelievable0

20 Dec 2012 11:08:25
do we want Joao Mountinho

Believable2 Unbelievable4

I wouldent mind him

20 Dec 2012 10:55:27
so it looks like man utd and arsenal are going out of the champions league!

Jordan

Sorry who did you lot get again, First club to win it and then go out of the knock out stages, It doesn't MATA

Agree1 Disagree5

20 Dec 2012 13:21:49
What record will it hold if Arsenal/ManUtd got eliminated? Can we here just deal with our own failings as a club rather than bothering ourselves what happens to other clubs? Were we actually favourites when we won it?
BB.

Agree0 Disagree1

Yeah, we won it.

Jordan

Agree4 Disagree0

Oh I see what you did there, MATA, matter, that was genius. We were also the first (and only) London club to win it, if that means anything to you.

Melbourne CFC

Agree3 Disagree0

Wont help us BB, but its always nice to see fergie lose!

Jordan

20 Dec 2012 15:24:39
Well, I hope Arsenal go on to win this one. I've got a soft spot for them.
Bas!cs.

Really? Im up for dortmund.

Jordan

Agree7 Disagree0

Agreed Jordan. They are everything you look for in a club. Play hard and attractive football all while they run a good club with good financials and a bunch of homegrown players.

This is a question for any of the eds who has a vast knowledge of young player recruitment by clubs. QUESTION: I know of a kid who is 14 years old, he shows great skills and pace with the ball and is a very promising winger. If I want to push him to a club, how do I do it ? {Ed002's Note - Players at that age cannot easily become involved outside of the country they live in. Try writing to the Youth Team coach at your local club in the first instance.}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

If theyre good enough someone will find them trust me

20 Dec 2012 03:51:10
Well, we saw a bit of Marin, he seemed lost atimes. Hazard changed the game.

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Cant blame him though hes hardly had a sniff at the first team

Agree5 Disagree0

Hes better on the left where he started just like pre season,
