Any truth in Roma and Juventus close to turning Salah and Cuadrado loans into permanent deals Ed?

Heard they're both near being finalised which would give us some money for the transfer pot in January in which I say we go all out for a centre half.

Willian has been fantastic this season, as he was last season, but with Hazard not yet at the top of his game, has now become our main threat. Ramiries is a fantastic player and really underrated. Dave is so consistent. Diego is a real beast. Begovic is a great understudy for Courtois, Zouma is learning his trade. Kenedy is a prospect. All positive. Beat Southampton and we are only down a few points on last season like for like! Trust Jose.Come on Chelsea

I think I've begun to appreciate Willian more that he's not in the team. For starters, right now Ivanovic needs massive help from his winger as most teams are overloading and attacking that side. While Pedro has been decent at pressing, you must admit that Willian is much better defensively. Another thing we're lacking right now is control in the midfield with it becoming clear that Fabregas' inability to help defensively or cover much ground. Willian provides us greater control in the midfield as he is more prone to tuck in as well as drop deep. Pedro has provided some nice balls and runs but he hasn't been finishing the majority of those runs with end product. At the moment I just feel that Willian's strengths match our needs more than Pedro's.

I agree and I think being left out has done him the power of good and is something one or two others could do with a taste of, not least Fabregas and Ivanovic. A number of us were of the opinion that Pedro would end up another Jesus Navas, bring him on for impact against tiring legs and so far I have seen nothing to suggest we were wrong. It would not surprise me if he went back to Spain at the end of the season.

What an absolute joke Pedro was brilliant on his debut. He provided a fantastic assist against Palace for Falcao. We would have lost both them games if he never played. No player in our side has been decent apart from Azpi or Begovic so give it a rest. He's still adapting to the league also. I'd prefer Pedro over Willian in a 4-3-3 at least he can score. Willian's only there to protect Ivanovic. His goal against Porto was the only realistic contribution going forward he's made in a long time. His two other goals were lucky free kicks against Maccabi and Newcastle. He's a workhorse and that's about it.

MagicalEden: Personally I think you are looking at Pedro through rose tinted glasses. At no time, even his debut have I and some others thought Pedro was brilliant; he is too small for our league. With Willian I did say he benefited from being left out and your own comment says it all "he is there to protect Ivanovic" which is ludicrous because that is not why we bought him. Move Azi over and you have better defending, pace and Willian can push forward more. Pedro's only league goal was a ricochet. I stick by my belief that he will go back along with Costa.

Just because no one agrees with you doesn't mean they're looking at it through rose tinted glasses lad. You're just one of them 16 year olds who thinks he knows something about football. I've seen the amount of tripe you post on here.

I agree with you in a world where I don't have nightmares about our right back I do think Pedro provides more end product than Willian. That said Ivanovic has been attrocious this year and needs a TON of help from his defender. Also we haven't played in a 433 in a long time so how players would fit into that is irrelevant.

MagicalEden: You make a statement and I respond and suddenly I am a 16 year old who knows nothing about football. I am way older than you and like you have an opinion which is not the same as yours hence the heading "Chelsea Banter" where people offer their opinion and 'if' you read my posts they are articulate and my opinion and I am consistent with Pedro from before we bought him. I, like you hope he starts playing brilliantly for the team BUT I seriously doubt it. I know you are upset about Chelsea's performance but just chill and accept not everyone will agree with you and at the season end make a comment pointing out I was wrong. Probably won't hear from you if I am correct however

You're definitely not correct and you need a reality check. Clearly have no idea what you're going on about.

We will see MagicalEden. However, you find Antibot should not be posting, ridiculed BlueLab, think I comment like a 16 year old; is it just your own opinion you value. Your knowledge of the team. Go back and look and you believed virtually every report of who Chelsea 'might' buy because you read it some

We will see MagicalEden. Now let's see, you thought Antibot shouldn't be posting and BlueLab because they did not know what they were talking about, I post like a 16 year old, therefore one assumes you are always right. Let's move on to your posts where you appeared to believe, because you read it that Che

I find it great how you say Pedro is too lightweight for the premier league while I wouldn't be surprised if you were shouting for Chelsea to buy griezmann all summer long.

We will see MagicalEden. You are the man who thinks Antibot and BlueLab should not be posting because they don't know what they are talking about and I post like a 16 year old, therefore your opinion is the only one worth reading. You are the one who kept asking pre-season if we were buying this or that player because you read it somewhere and I believe after the Porto game you ridiculed Robben because he referred to Matic who you 'a Chelsea supporter' DID NOT know played. Steady lad or you will have no friends.

Totally agree with you Ed. And I just asked if we're interested didn't want to sign them, don't always assume you know everything kid.

My opinion of Mourinho hasn't changed. He is done at the top level. He's been found out and won't last the entire season at Chelsea. Call me whatever you like.

Are you a Chelsea fan or just some random troll? Care to elaborate on why he is done then!

Just a quick note to everyone: have you seen mata play tonight? He was incredible and is exactly what we need right. A briliant magician who kills oponents with superb passing

Mata would be ideal in today's team but he could not track back and defend as Mourinho wanted and he really never lasted the full 90 minutes. Now I think he manages his time on the pitch better and of course his job is going forward. I was always a huge fan. Now of course we have Fabregas who cannot track back or last 90 minutes, strange old world.

Frensham - As my phone is tripping out I'll have to reply here

I'm actually 16, and supported chelsea when I was 6. That makes it 2005, call me a glory hunter all you like I don't care. I was 6 years old when I saw a game (I can't remember) where we were 1-0 down with not long to go and as I was brought up to pray every night, I prayed for chelsea to win and terry then scored, followed by lampard. Chelsea won. In my opinion, it doesn't matter when a team starts supporting, it just matters when they stick with the team through the hard times

I'm not saying it makes you a bad fan to start critisising the team on here, I just said it's driving me away.

I am obviously not happy with how we are, but I'm past the stage of throwing my toys out of the pram as soon as we start playing poorly. I'm confident we will get through it and qualify for ucl next year, and go very far into that competition this year.

Think that covered everything you said, but again, it's not bad that you're being negative on here, it's just not me, and it puts me in a terrible mood when I read tonnes of negativity about my club

Thanks

Hazard64: Excellent reply and good to see you started so young but I was guessing how long you supported and was right that you were young. The only difference between my length of support for Chelsea and yours is the ups and downs I have seen compared to you and if you think people are moaning now believe me the last fifty years and you would have pulled your hair out. It is a banter page where we all contribute praise, moans and advice which as you know, nobody ever listens to at the club just other contributors. I try to be articulate and observational and it is my opinion only but if you do not like the negativity this season 'could' be horrendous for you because one more match with Ivanovic playing as he is and a poor result and the negativity will go into overdrive. It would certainly be strange if many supporters were praising the team at present! Hang in there, some things get worse before they get better.
