Congrats to the u21 team for making it to the final on penalties against Man City. Time to give some of these youngsters a chance in the first team. Norwich and Cardiff would be ideal to give maybe 1 or 2 some experience at the top level.
Dream on, it will never happen as long as Jose's in charge.

Doesn't half make me laugh on here sthe things some people post I've just seen someone post Ivanovic out just because we've lost. It's people like these who shouldn't be near Chelsea for their disrespect.
Yes we lost yesterday. So what? We've challenged for the title and got to the semi finals of the champions league with three terrible strikers. We have been negative lately but I think Mourinho knows with three terrible strikers we can't put a game to bed and that's why he's been playing this way. Next year we'll hopefully have two new strikers (one of which I hope is Lukaku for rotation, a new left back Moreno/Shaw or other and the best young keeper in the world back.
Our defence has been fantastic, Cole should leave with van Aanholt returning as backup to our new left back and then we should see azpi move back to right back which will hopefully give us two full backs who can get a decent cross in. Ivan should be in the bench for rotation with Kalas. Luiz should be used solely as a CM which is where he is best. Matic can play CL next year. Van Ginkel will be like a new signing I like the look of him and Lampard and Chalobah as two more CM's. Ramires has been poor i'd cash in on him and get a deep lying playmaker eg. Pjanic, Modric. Our 5 attacking mids are fine Oscar just needs a rest. Sign costa/Cavani with Lukaku as back up and get rid of dead wood:

Mourinho should take the blame he made the wrong subs at the wrong time there was no need to bring on eto'o in 54th minute he's only telling contribution in the game was giving away a penalty. All this talk and blame on our strikers but they wasn't at fault for the goals the defenders were at fault and I don't care what anyone says we don't create enough clear cut chances and were not creative enough so even with a world class striker like cavani or Costa wouldn't get 30 goals a season.
So your blaming Jose, funny that without his tactical nous we would not of been in the semi final or anywhere near top of the prem. yes it may not of been the ideal sub, but doing something positive was better than doing nothing.
As for the defence being to blame, I think if you check the re-run that the person to blame was actually Eden hazard. He failed to track back twice, costing goals.
But it's no good blaming all and sundry, we have over achieved in the cl and the league, so role on nextbseason
How do we need Ivanovic after this season? Terrible right back in any sense of attacking terms. Cahill, terry, zouma, kalas, ake, challobah and luiz.

On a serious note we must change the philosophy of our game. We must find the right balance between defending and attacking. If this does not get addressed next season I will start pointing the finger to Jose.
I completely agree. It seems like the players have had defending drilled so much into them and keeping the team in shape that they are almost scared to make forward runs and running into space just in case they lose the ball and are caught out of position.
Our team is set out the best way to get results. Apart from Hazard, the rest of our AM's have been inconsistent this season and our strikers have around 20 goals between them. With an entire new strike force next season, a LB and a DLP, we'll be able to play more adventurous football. Hopefully Willian, Schurrle and Salah will improve with their second season. And I'd want Brazil to drop out of the WC early so that Oscar can get the maximum amount of rest.

Oh come on everyone, blaming starting Torres and stuff like this is a joke. Hazard, cole and eto are to blame for the goals. But with that out of the way. As soon as we scored is where Jose got it wrong. Azpi fell back to right back, Ivan went Central putting 5 in defence. Our midfield was down to ramires and luiz and then got over run. Joses fault. Even hazard has apparently said about dodgy tactics. All these attacking players and we play so negative.
I thought ramires and hazard were terrible yesterday. Hazard has started showing his attitude problems. We need a clear out and that includes the old guard. I would cash in on Oscar, ramires, Ivanovic, Torres, ba. Let cole, lamps go.
Mourinho will build this team before and after the World Cup.
Hopefully we will be less negative next season.

I reckon jose made a mistake playing torres. I know he scored but I can't accept his celebration. Its one thing to be respectful to your old club but he went overboard as if he was hurt by scoring. Must have been reassuring for the atletico defence and took the momentum out of our side. I've supported him since the beginning but after last night I wouldn't be too fussed if he leaves in the summer.

Mistake was not playing shurrle and playing hazard as he wasn't fit IMO, but they were still better team. Torres showed class not celebrating
Not for not celebrating - just expecting him to show a little bit more passion for the team given that he doesn't score that often and we still support him. I suppose I was probably overreacting. The last time we got beaten this comprehensively was against Juve.

Not impressed by costa at all, I can only see falcao as man we need, an absolute nightmare around the goal. I know eds said not interested in certain players but if love it if we recalled lukaku and courtios and signed Vidal Lavezzi falcao
I agree concerns re costa. I didn't realise he had been at athletico 5 years. You wonder whether he is a one season wonder, at least with falcao and cavani we know they have had two good seasons in different leagues.

He has been out on loan and few seasons, and this is the first season he has been used as a striker at Atletico.
Costa's stats these last few seasons have been excellent for a back up/loanee. Drogba was a year older or the same age as him when we signed him and his stats at the time were no where near costa's level in the seasons before. Costa's banged in more goals than Cavani and Falcao this season (fair play he's been injured) in a harder league. You people who are judging him on 2 games have probably only seen him in those 2 games! He's a great talent and only going to get better would be an unreal signing.

Can I just say ha
No you can't. We got to the semis, which makes for a very good European campaign this season. We got beat by a superior team. Atletico play fantastic football and there's no shame in losing to them over 2 legs.
Sure champions league semi finals and still in with a shout of the prem . To also qualify for champions league next season when the squads short comings have been obvious to all of us for a long time.
These short comings will be addressed in the close season so all you scousers and others beware, next season its a shoot out with us and city.
If you had stuck with Rafa, you'd have won the league and still made the Semi's. JM can do no wrong though can he, unless you mind dull football.
