I have a feeling that Barcelona is seriously trying to get Juan Mata. I am afraid they will get him same way they got Fabregas.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Difference is that Fabregas was a product of Barca's academy and always wanted to return. Furthermore he only had a year or 2 left on his contract. He'll also be an example of why you shouldn't join Barca until Xavi/Iniesta have retired.
Finally Chelsea actually win things unlike Arsenal. There's no real reason to join them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not a chance. We aren't a mediocre selling club like Arsenal who celebrate finishing 4th like they've won the league, and we win trophies. Juan Mata will be a Chelsea player for a long time

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree. People need to realise that we are in different level than Arsenal who live in this romantic world whose mission is to prove wrong clubs who spend money? Well, those clubs win trophies which all footballers want. No trophies no world-class players. Proitos

Agree0 Disagree0

I am afraid all of you are underestimating Barcelona's influence and power.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you're forgetting that Barcelona are in debt. They have a yearly transfer fund to spend and usually only spend within in that due to their debt. They've pretty much spent the majority of their transfer fund on Neymar.

We could have a fantastic squad next year with about 2-3 good signings. Imagine a bench of Lukaku and De Brune along with legends like Lamps and Terry to change the course of a difficult away match. The problem is that our young future stars don't want to be sqaud players because they have International/World cup aspirations and not playing regularly would be damaging.

My question is, Is there another sport like football where the team that is paying you and making you rich is not your 1st priority?

I'm not picking in our boys because it's the culture throughout football, I just want to know if there are any other sports like it.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

No ha

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you asking if there are other sports where people leave good clubs for bad clubs just because the bad clubs pay them more? yes, just go over the pond. don't know about nfl or mlb but has a huge nba fan it happens a lot there.

Hi Ed0002, first of all I wanna say thank you for your hard work, it's really nice that you give us so much info. Second I hears a rumour about Monaco being interested in Hazard, do you think there's any truth in that?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

01 Jun 2013 22:25:42
Heard* pardon my spelling

Agree0 Disagree0

I am sure Monaco would be interested in mata hazard Oscar, like we would be interested in messi.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if JM is announced as our new manager tomorrow or Monday.

We will win the league this coming season at least.

You heard it here first.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ed 02 has consistently told us to expect an announcement around 5th or 6th not Monday! No wonder they get hacked off with people on this site. {Ed002's Note - Actually it may come a little earlier now.}

Cheers

A good source (Told me about Moses and Hazard very early) has told me today that Bernard is very interested in a move to Chelsea and could easily join us this summer according to his Brazilian contacts. The rumoured Spurs interest is non-existent and is a smoke-screen by the club in order to change other teams stances on other targets. Expect a deal in the next few weeks provided JM authorises it.
Believe what you will of this.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Is this Bernard kid any good? Never seen him play

Agree0 Disagree0

I really rate him and believe he and Oscar could really bring the best out of eachother. Could easily be a duo like Kaka and Ronaldinho.
EH17

Agree0 Disagree0

Hes good on youtubehe would cost at lea£15m I would assume. For that price you can buy Thiago Alcantara, as Isco is off the table all our efforts should be targeted towards him.

Agree0 Disagree0

I seen a youtube clip of him and he has bags of potential, great pace, wicked shot, two-footed, creativity, vision, touch and a great cross, I haven't seen much of this Alcantra either but he's going to have to be quite the star for you to prefer him over Bernard.

JMJW

Agree0 Disagree0

In my opinion Bernard is very similar to Lucas moura but less polished in his ability. I like the fact that he has bags of pace because as we discussed yesterday you can always move a winger inside but moving a #10 outside sometimes doesn't work. Overall I think he'd be a great signing but we do have a ton of youth guys coming through.

Tk

Agree0 Disagree0

Do we have a lot of great wingers in the youth teams though? And wouldn't Bernard perhaps be too small to cut it in England?

Agree0 Disagree0

To above no-name; that's what everyone said about Oscar.

Sorry I was being no-name. Yeah but Bernard is like 1m65 and doesn't even weigh 60kg. That's really tiny

Franco

Agree0 Disagree0

Only just thought Thiago Alcantra rom Barca, how did I forget? But to be fair, I'd be pleased with either signing. They both have a great potential.

Anyone who keeps asking silly questions to ED002 needs to stop you ruin this site for the rest of us! Rather then reading something in the paper and asking dumb questions use the search bar in the top right of the page and if u ain't found what you are looking for then it ain't of no concern. Jay j

What about Manzukic from Bayern Munchen?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He's staying. Most likely anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Ed said he was one of the players Bayern wanted to keep, as they were having a large clear-out this transfer market, but 'I think'.

ED, are monaco intrested in Mourinho?.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Monaco is a side show, I'm sure Jose would not manage there. They have crowds of 15000, they aren't in the Champions league and it is just a playground for mercenaries. I'm amazed Beckham didn't play there for a year or two.
Falcao will regret signing for them one day. How much money do you need?

Ed02, I for one appreciate all the hard work that you do for this site, and it truly is a good site, thanks to you sharing info. I also fell for you with all the same repetitive questions you get day in day out. However JMJW was only asking a question with regards to some top knowledge you passed on. There is no need to snap and have him grovel to you. It's a rumour site and he was asking you, the editor for some info. If it was a question about something that has already been asked a thousand and one times, then fair enough. But you stated that Chelsea have turned their interest from Isco, so why wouldn't someone be interested as to why?
Chill out bean sprout and keep up the good work!
Much love Cfc Dan {Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with him as I explained.}

With our interest in several players, imagine the team we could have next season :

Cech
Azpilicueta Mangala Cahill Cole
Oscar/Ramires Luiz
Hazard Mata Schurrle
Striker (Cavani, Maybe?)

Add to that the depth behind our squad, the likes of Ivanovic (Rb or Cb), Lampard, Ramires and Luiz can also play Cb, Moses etc. etc. I personally feel if we make the correct signings, and with United and City both risky changes in managerial, it open a door for us to challenge for the title next season, especially if 'TSO' returns. As well our youth will all have an extra years experience with them, and we could see the likes of De Bruyne, Lukaku and Courtios etc. Joining the squad the following year, Chaloboah, Kalas, Piazon etc. to have hopefully a Premier League team loan next year as well to give them experience, therefore I feel that there's no need to be concerned about who we buy this transfer market, because i'm sure if we can get who the Ed's have said were intereted in, then we will definatly be title conetenders next season.

JMJW

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Id put ivan as cb rather than cahill, and ramires cannot play at cb mate he's far too small.

aside from that that team is very encouraging.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ohh Crap, Yeah I was debating between Cahill or Ivanovic, and I didn't mean Ramires as a Cb, I meant as midfield cover, I just mistyped it :).

hey ed,

do you expect essien to be sold in the summer. He and mourinho are the father and son.

P. S.

i wish people would RTFP's and not ask questions that are repeated over and over when there is no new information.

Thanks {Ed002's Note - There is no decision right now.}

Torres migh end up at Athetico Madrid or even Liverpool. Oscar Cardozo is joining AM and there is quite a possibility that Torres will join him. For Falcao they will get 2 fantastic strikers.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Not if they sign Torres

Agree0 Disagree0

Europa league final, that all I will say to the above post.
And yes with a strike force of Ba, Schurrle, Lukaku probably we will probably do the treble.

roan

Agree0 Disagree0

Unfortunately we won't with that strike force. need the likes of cavani - plain and simple/strong/proven goal scorer.

Agree0 Disagree0

Torres is our highest scorer, so what I was saying is that Torres should not be let go and our strike force should be beefed up with Cavani. There is no need to sell as we can afford to keep both, if city or man u can certainly we can.
if we sell Torres and do not get Cavani our strike force looks wea, but if we can keep Torres alongwith bringing in Cavani it looks formidable.
roan

Agree0 Disagree0

Apart from Arsenal away and Europa league final, the majority of Torres's goals came in unimportant games, you could never rely on him to score in the games that matter againsty united, city or in the champions league this year.

With Drogba, you knew he could always get a goal when we needed it. We need another striker like that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Torres scored 1 premier league goal in 2013. please can we accept him for what he is and not claim he's back to his best after scoring a goal.

Ed I had a little bet a couple weeks back when rumours of benitez going to napoli were starting to come out I put a bet on torres to follow him do you think was a good bet or is torres future still undecided thank you {Ed002's Note - I cannot condone gambling.}

With the special one coming back and FFP to comply with expect some changes with the first 11 and not just the squad.

To support players coming in, potential players out:

Luiz
Torres
Marin
Mikel
Moses

This would create a transfer kitty in excess of £80m.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I don't care how much we get offered, selling Luiz would be a joke.

Agree0 Disagree0

Luiz is excellent with the ball but lazy without it. Look at Bayern, Dortmund, barca they all have players blessed with emence talent but the backbone of their success is the work-rate of the team with and without the ball.

Agree0 Disagree0

To everyone panicking I got something for you all! Mourinho when taking charge of a team in the first season hardly sales anyone, he gives all players a chance to prove to him. Check the track records! Chelsea, inter and Madrid. BLUEBOY1

Agree0 Disagree0

Luiz was one of our best players last season, only a couple of players were as influential across all comps and throughout the season, would be a huge shame to loose him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Half those teams you mention want to buy Luiz. Just the press trying to stir things up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mikel and Torres should be shown the door. I've been watching the season review of ancelotti double season. Mikel a defensive mid I don't think so. Ivan and terry were split, mikel doesn't even fill the gap and just jogs back and we concede! Too often mikel doeant do his job and that's just one season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mikel is Mourinho's player I doubt he'll leave. Chelsea priority must be CM (Marchisio, Fabregas, Hamsik, Schweiny) one of them. Chalobah is long term replacement for Essien not Lampard as most of people think. Mikel will leave only if Khedira or Fellaini are coming. Luiz will go only for 40mil euros& be replaced by Mangala. Marin&Moses could be bait to get player like Bale or Suarez of course plus cash. Torres will he has long term target for Mourinho during his first spell at Chelsea but he was not for sale at that time.

Agree0 Disagree0

In fact mourinho signed him or did he? No he didn't just like shevchenko. The club signed mikel because he was the next best thing to messi at the time. Mourinho hardly played mikel. More did our best managers ancelotti and hiding the same. BLUEBOY1
