ed this torres guy for spain looks a decent player, do chelsea have any interest in him? hope so anyway. so happy for him and mata, hazard and marin are now officially chelsea players and to top it off, i put money on torres as top scorer at 18/1. today has been a good day

I had money on Torres too but I've just found out that because 6 players all scored 3 goals each the stakes get divided by 6.
ie, if you put £30 on at 16-1 instead of getting £500 odd back you'll only get about £80. Gutted.

Torres played less minutes than the others and is the golden boot winner, you need to get down to where you put the bet on and sort it out :) i got paid out at Coral no problem with him as Golden Boot Winner.

Bookies will do anything they can to get out of paying you your well deserved money

The majority of online bookmakers have a set rule for this occasion called Dead Heat. Dead Heat rule is commonly used for horse racing and in the case of a  top goalscorer in Euro 2012 it means that your bet counts for half of your stake on  full odds. So, if you had £100 on a player at 10/1 and there is a dead hit between 2 top goalscorers in the Euro, then it is like you had £50 on 10/1, and that’s how the bookie is going to pay out your bet. In the case of more than 2 top goalscorers then the amount is divided equally. i.e. if its 3 of them on the first place you get 1/3 of your money on full odds if its 4 1/4 on full odds etc...

The bet was for top scorer not golden boot winner. I did it online on bet365, apparently paddy power is the same. Wish I'd used coral now too.

Razor is right, I wrote a ticket out by hand saying Torres golden boot, 16/1 put a tenner on it, went in today to collect my winnings, they refused to pay out saying the bet was top goalscorer, even tho it had golden boot on the slip! C*nts!!

No curt mate ,when you place a bet its up to you to check your betting slip,all the odds would have been under the heading top goalscorer when you got your price..as it happens i had £5 e/w at 100/1 dzagaeov.picked up £186...rayzor

If ur slip says torres for golden boot then they have to pay up if they dont wana pay up then they shouldnt accept the bet

so torres takes the golden boot and the 2 chelsea boys write spain into the record books (biggest margin win) which leads me to say open ur eyes del bosque and play them more often

mata done more in 8 minutes than milner and young done all tournament

glad to see torres smiling again and heres hoping we see him banging the goals in next year

carefree i dont think wether torres has a chelsea flag is top priority and in his defence chelsea werent exactly loyal to him last season (rarely played him and was refused a penalty kick in munich shootout) i know thats more di matteo's choice but you get the point of it

FT9! Golden Boot Winner just like i betted on at the beginning of the tournament :D 23-1 odds ;D It was easy money but have to say, what a pass by Xavi to set it up. On another note, i heard a rumour we were having a look at a unknown CM (Other than Modric apparently and also Fellaini), any truth to this Ed?
Lets look forward to next season, worth a punt on Torres again? ;)

Turnbull might be homegrown but even he paid his own wages, he still isn't good enough to be Cechs backup.
