Hi eds can u please explain what is going on with stones and whether we will put in another bid. Also what's happening with our search for an attacking midfielder or have we decided not to sign one in the end
Thanks in advance

{Ed018's Note - not sure what there is to explain. Chelsea have had 2 bids rejected. There won't be an attacking midfielder coming in unless someone leaves}

We're overloaded with attacking mids/wingers right now. It would be foolish to spend in that area. Especially if Kenedy indeed ends up staying (which I still highly doubt myself, but you never know).
Rahman should be priority right now and perhaps a central midfielder.

I'll be more than happy if we just sign Rahman and Stones this window. Although I don't want to see us overpriced for Stones. Yes Varane and Laporte are probably better than him at the moment but the way Stones is going he won't be far away soon with his rapid rise. It's always nice when you have a great squad who wins the league to have British players in it. That's why we need to sign Stones and concentrate on bringing players like Solanke, Brown and Loftus-Cheek through. I'm also hoping players like Begovic, Zouma, Rahman, RLC, Traore, Remy and Falcao can give us that extra dimension when we rotate. I think Traore may surprise a few this season, If we can get him on that RW in cup games and see how good he is cutting in on his left foot then we might not need a right winger. But if not we can hopefully get a marquee signing in next summer.

Don't forget about Kenedy who looked pretty good against Barca in the 1st half, I know he's still not fully signed but Jose seems to like him and says he think he can get a work permit and he's training still with our 1st team.

Hi Ed

Who are Chelsea looking to bring in before the end of the transfer window? ( besides Baba Rahman and Stones)

Cheers

{Ed018's Note - that could be it. It would probably take someone leaving for them to bring someone else in}

Mikel and cuadrado should leave then with goatze and pogba in. Easy!

Pogba has signed short contract extension, so he is not coming for sure this summer.
Cuadrado might leave. Mikel exit was blocked by Mourinho.

Having seen a few people post about Bamford & being pleased for his hat-trick vs. Bromley (Bromley Football Club btw is a nice little local club and a good way to spend an afternoon if you have nothing else on and live locally - but I digress), of whom I'm a big fan and see having a big future in the EPL even if it isn't with Chelsea.

The comparison I'm about to throw out there may bring laughter from some, jeers from others, but I have to stress it's a comparison he very much needs to grow into!

Like Bamford this player wasn't blessed with great high end pace, or low end pace for that matter, and never looked like an athlete - always looked a bit tired. The two things he did have, the two things that made him one of the most deadly strikers in Europe, was amazing movement and finishing.

I think Patrick Bamford could be compared to Filippo Inzaghi!

Laugh and jeer people! LAUGH - AND - JEER!

I would say more of a Robbie fowler who had great movement and finishing to match.

If his movement and positional sense could develop to a level that's close to Inzaghi, then that would be amazing! Inzaghi always had a thing for being in the right place at the right time.
That said, I think Bamford is already a better footballer when it comes to passing and technique. Inzaghi was the ultimate poacher, and I think Bamford will become a more complete player.
