{Ed002's Note - Palermo, Chelsea, Inter, Arsenal, Valencia, Roma and Villarreal are all known to be interested in Boca's Jonathan Calleri. Spurs have also had the player watched.

Have you found a stash of old newspapers.}

But of positivity to the site.

T-BO is back in training! And what a site to see. I can't see him starting until Spurs away next week. Fair play to Begovic who has been great but he's no Courtois is he.

Maybe he can bring some organisation to that back line.

In relation to John Stones,
I seriously hope the club do not go after him and let Everton and Martinez laugh at us again. Our chance to get him was the summer had we done things in a more swift and efficient manner, I. e paying what it took to get the deal done.

Stones is a long term investment for whovever will now get him, not us. The chance has gone, similar to the Luke Shaw situation at Southampton, Everton will have a valuation, even if they publically deny it. Manchester United will pay it, like they did with Shaw (a boyhood Chelsea Fan) . Unfortunatly, when it comes to the best young English players, they end up there. Just look at Ferdinand and Rooney as prime examples.

It also does not help that Stones is northern and that ironically when we need a centre half such as Stones, Manchester United need one and will get him just like when we tracked Shaw for a good few years, they ended up needing a left back and ended up getting him. Thanks to the current financial rules preserving clubs like Manchester United and our status as seemingly one of the few elite clubs adhering to them to the letter, we stand no chance in a direct battle for players such as Stones and Shaw with a club like Man Utd.

This will suit Everton and Martinez, who made it personal in the summer for us having the audacity to buy a player, who they bought off another club and was not "an evertonian" since he was born. Nothing unusual there though. Offended by everything.

I don't agree with you that we should end our interest in him as simple as that just because United are also interested. However I do agree that Everton and Roberto Martinez made things very personal against Chelsea and it was very disappointing to see. Does anyone know if we went about things the wrong way or something? Because Martinez treated it as if we had killed a family member or something.

Saim,
I think what offended Everton, and I may be wrong, was how public you made your interest in him.

The tabloids will speculate and run a story to sell their papers and managers could (possibly) declare an interest in the player, in this instance Mourinho, which is fine, but you also had players like Gary Cahill and JT publicly saying Stones should leave Everton to join Chelsea, which I think is wrong.

Just my opinion though mate.

Yeah you're probably right mate, certainly nothing that other clubs (including Everton when it came to Lukaku) haven't done in the past though. It just annoyed me a little how sour Martinez got about it.

Totally agree mate,
All managers and clubs do it, but Chelsea probably get more bad press about it than any other club because you have the anti-Christ as a manager, lol.
