His attitude is absolutely frightening. That being said if were going to get rid of lukaku I would like to bring in another striker I feel confident about and balotelli has showed he can be unplayable at times. He would be cheap for what you're getting and could turn out to be one of or the best striker on the planet IF he gets his stuff together (the if can't be overstated). That said I can't imagine both him and costa happy in the same team unless we change our system and of mario isn't happy then nobody is.

Absolutely no way would I want him near my club.

Rather give bamford a try and have balo anywhere near chelsea fc. Will let u down more than win u games! Mandukic is a good player though that we should bring in

I know this will be an opinion that is not shared by many but the striker that I would like to see at Chelsea next season (assuming Costa signs) is Mario Mandzukic.

He is a very hard working player, great in the air, and one of those players who seems to be in the right place at the right time for simple finishes. I also think that if we were looking to partner Costa with someone MM could be a good option.

Don't doubt Costa's abilities bt I doubt if he will solve our striker problem d level we expect. He's not d best possible available striker to me.Deal done already 4 Costa, I would like Falcao, don't moan yet. We need a box striker like him esp 4 smaller taems. Maybe both can feature 2geda. He's expensive bt he's just d lift we need now 2 solve striker issue and gradually fill in dier successor. Moreso Falcao can bring out d best in Hazard and co bc he would make dier job effective. Sorry 4 d long post. Feel free 2 comment

Spain hardly play to costa strengths though do they so bit unfair to judge him in this world cup! He made some good runs but Spain being spain they will rather look for an extra pass instead of slipping costa through. The bloke lives on crosses and balls in behind the back 4 spain do none of that! You could put drogba in that team and he would struggle. Chelsea play on the counter same as madrid so our style will suit costa

Falcao is nearly 30 and rushing off a major knee surgery. I'll pass on that very easily.

Wouldn't want Falcao unless he was coming for free.

Let's not panic too much about the World Cup performances from Diego Costa! He had a pretty bad knee injury at the end of last season and looked like he was lacking match fitness more than ability! Add that to the fact that he just isn't made to play tika-taka and you begin to see why it might not have worked out as planned for him.

He scored lots of goals last season in an At. Madrid side that specialised in counter attacks in a similar mould to us. You don't score that many goals being a bad player!

Also at times in his Chelsea career Drogba looked as if it was his first time on a football pitch - he turned out ok!

Ed man, After an awful / shocking performance by costa are we still going to sign him, or are we adding another striker to him?

Watch one match and judge. All the spainish players must be rubbish then.

Sanchez. Fast hard working and great with ball. Mourinho type player, also what about Vidal. , jeez what a players, what a work horse, also what do we think of costa., I personally am not biggest fan BUT Spain do not know how to use a CF and there style of play doesn't suit him, tika taka died in 2012, teams are wise to it like Jose and Chelsea were, sit deep and counter, how Fabregas can't get in that team is beyond me, to much creativity and not enough hard working stuck in type CM,

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Thats why although I acknowledge fabregas is a good player, I didn't want us to sign him as by doing so it pretty much ends our pursuit of vidal. just imagine vidal and matic running our midfield!

anyways, hope fabregas and matic smack it for us together anyway!

Not sure whether Sanchez would be available, or at a price CFC would want to pay, but have always liked him and was hoping he would come to us before his more to that smaller club, Barcelona! Am in wait and see mood re. Costa (little choice not to be), though occasionally when watching him in Spain's games the doubtless v unfair thought 'carthorse' came to mind. Am sure most on here are right that it's injury, Spain playing style (few crosses etc) that made him look a bit plodding up front. But would be great to have as second striker Sanchez/Suarez like player (and someone who plays striker -- ie we have Hazard, Sala, Willian) who can offer something different to DC: either real pace (and skill) or just real great touch/skill and confidence in box.
