Mourinho made a statement about transfer window for us being shut to me that means lukaku is stopping because there no way we can go into league with torres record and a new league for costa. NO way

I think I'd actually be fine with this group. Even if Mikel and/or Ramires are sold, there's Romeu who could provide solid minutes and MVG who will hopefully have a good season after his injury. I'm hoping Chalobah can convince Jose to use him as a squad player. He could provide midfield and defensive cover, so could be useful.

Also interesting that Salah tweeted that today was his last game with number 15. Perhaps a certain Ivorian striker could want his shirt back.

On what planet did the Drog wear 15?

Drogba had the number 15 shirt when he first joined Chelsea in 2004. and changed to number 11 I believe in.2006/07 when Duff left.

Firstly I weren't being rude, sorry if it came across like that. But you would never class the number 15 as Drogbas shirt, if he wanted his shirt and could choose he would take number 11 no? Like he did as soon as he got the chance last time, like he did at marseille, like he did for Galatasary and Ivory Coast. Maybe I should have wrote how can you call it his shirt? But on the subject of him returning I don't care what number he wears, I'd love to see him back

Does anything else think going for Remy for 8.5 million would be a good idea? Because I do. He's 27, available and also rapid and would be a different type of striker to Costa. I think Liverpool are getting a bargain with Remy. He's got premier league experience and a good goal record especially if Lukaku leaves for like 20-25 million we could make a 10-15 million profit and then use a homegrown player like Bamford as third choice. I'd prefer Lukaku to leave with his terrible attitude, he's over-rated anyway and his first touch is shocking.

With lukaku always likely to leave, going for title this season with only costa and Torres is huge mistake IMO,

I find it strange you can have a definitive view when there is ages left in the transfer window. As things stand now, it may look a little risky but there's loads of time left (also the next transfer window) to reinforce the squad. My view is that there will be further signings once players start going (i.e. Lukaku).

That comment came after Jose said windows closed,, I doubt it is but we need another striker. Aubameyang In my opinion. nevertheless IF we go
Into season with 2 strikers we may well fall short again;?

The priorities for me have clear solutions. Juve are interested in Lukaku, use him + cash to get Pogba, PSG want Oscar, use him + cash to get Cavani. Keeps FFP onside and removes 2 players we don't need and acquires two that we do. I would then try for the Varane deal and keep Zouma. 4 centre backs, Terry, Cahill, Varane and Zouma. The old and the new pairing. Midfield 3 of Pogba, Matic, Fabregas and Hazard playing off the best front two in the world, Costa and Cavani. I'm sure this is what Mourinho wants. Ivanovic and Azpilcueta fighting for right back. Bertrand pushing Luis at left back. Ramires, Van Ginkel and maybe a promotion from the youth pushing the aforementioned midfield three. Willian, Schurrle, Salah providing attacking depth. Potentially another striker signing if Torres leaves and for me Bamford should join the squad as a squad player because he deserves it and also because we need some home grown injection following the departures of Cole and Lampard. Perhaps a Draxler or Reus or Isco could come in if Oscar leaves but I'd think that's a bit greedy. Give Baker or Brown a squad number. We need a new English presence. Any chance of the squad looking something like this come the end of the window Eds? Many thanks,

Does anyone know when the likes of Costa, Fabregas etc will join up with the first team and play their first pre season game. Reports are saying when Chelsea begin their European tour. Does that mean we'll see them on Wednesday against RZ Pellets or will we have to wait longer to see them in action?
Also what do you all make of JM's comments about our transfer business being done with already?
I personally feel we need to get Torres off the books and get a cheap alternative who can offer something different eg Aubameyang. Also if Falcao became available I'd love to see go back in for him. Our attack would be frightening next season with him added.
But all in all so far I'm extremely happy with who we have bought. Just need to get a few players off the wage bill and we'll be ready for next season

The players who were knocked out in the group stage are expected to join up with the squad sometime after this weekend I do believe.
