Although we lost today undeservedly in my opinion, I am really happy with how Chelsea are starting to play how many teams go to united and out play them in there back yard? Was impressed with Anelka when he came on would like to see that midfield and striker formation next game. Torres barring a bad miss was exceptional today I really believe this could be the start of his chelsea career. Unfortunately we came up against a shocking lino a bad and easily influenced ref and a very very lucky united

Keep the faith

P.S. Torres will score 20+ goals this seaon

Believable5 Unbelievable6

Torres will be sold in the summer, he does'nt suit your style of play. When at Liverpool he was surrounded by mediocre players which made him look good, now at Chelsea he finds himself with class players and he's scared she*pless.... HERBIE (MUFC)

Agree2 Disagree10

Can u explain how was the loss undeserving. Because if say Torres missed then so did rooney if u say ramires should scored or let the ball pass to sturridge so should have rooney or atleast a better pass to berba.
Rather chelsea were lucky that the 2nd penalty was'nt given and most importantly cole wasn't sent off.

Agree3 Disagree6

I agree, we were the better team, Torres was very good and scored a great goal, we are heading in the right direction.

Agree6 Disagree3

Wow sounds like some defensive mancs have been posting on here, what's the matter guys worried Chelsea outplayed you at old Trafford and yes we where much the better side yesterday. Lucky lucky united and you know it.

Agree4 Disagree2

Coming from a Chelsea fan that is laughable, the past two times you won the league 'luck' was involved. At the end of the day, you make your own 'luck'. It was one of the strangest games ive seen for a while two tight offsides, stone wall pens and reds and not to forget abismal misses. Stop moaning and enjoy it lads, after all it could be worse, you could be liverpool.

Mr defensive no name, I'm just saying it as I see it with regards to Torres and I think if your honest with yourselfs you'll admit it.... He is'nt right for Chelsea fullstop.... HERBIE (MUFC)

I dont understand why Luiz didnt start today, he the only central defender we have who can deal with the pace of united!

Believable7 Unbelievable1

Uniteds goals today were nothing to do with pace, 2 were bad refereeing(and bad positioning) and the other was lucky ricochet! take the positives from the game because there were plenty, bad luck was our downfall

Agree5 Disagree0

To me it was just 1 was bad refereeing other 2 were pure class also Chelsea were lucky not go down to 10 men, the cole challenge was a straight red.

Went to today's game was disappointed but still saw some bright sparks. Yes Torres should have had 3 but this is from a man who couldn't buy a goal last season but scored against the champions which should give him a bit of a boost. Mata was fantastic as well as Anelka. Our defence was awful, Bossy kept on pushing to far up and we were exposed far too many times. Thought Meireles was also good. Lets not get on the back on Torres, it wasn't the miss of the century. He should of had three but so should of Rooney. We would of lost anyway but still the media will not give up on harassing Torres. He scored but all their going to talk is his miss. Rooney's penalty probably won't get a mention because he's mister untouchable. I genuinely think we could win the Prem or Champo League this year if carrying playing the good stuff. We played some nice stuff and AVB has had to tweak an ageing squad. I would settle for second or third this year and the Champo League because we are still rebuilding and are still a side in progress. We need another winger, playmaker and centre back and we can take on the world.
Keep the faith!

Why are the press reporting that Lukaku is ineligible for the Champion's League? Surely as he is under 21, he does not need to be registered?

Believable1 Unbelievable3

Those rules only apply for the league, there a limit regardless of age for europe

ha!!

beaten....finally in great fashion by the champions!

Believable4 Unbelievable7

Great fashion? 2 goals offside and some dodgy defending? as the season goes on we will get stronger and better u lot are at ur limit , we had 19 shots at OT. we played well but will only get better. i didnt expect a win but any other day cud ov been a diff scoreline

Agree7 Disagree1

Which 2nd goal r u taking about being offside apart from smalling. The Score line to be fair should have been 5-3 rather than 3-1 with all those shots from ramires, Rooney , Torres, Berba(though not his mistake) should have been scored.

Time is up for Lampard and Terry; great club servants, but leave us with the memories of those great times. It is pitiful watching both of them, I was hoping a vet was going to run on and put them both out of their, (our) missery.

torres.how?
50 million could of been invested into good players, look who scored 2 again today who we could of had......
aguero :@@@

Believable1 Unbelievable11

Aguero has so far performed well against Swansea, Wigan and Fulham, all relegation candidates. When he takes on United, Spurs or us single handed, then i'll be impressed. Fair enough, Torres should have got 2 and the miss was very poor, but lets give him our support as fans and then he will start to fly once again. CM is our main problem so lets try and buy Hamsik and Krasic/ Goetze and Kagawa and then we will easily challenge for C/L.

Ideal Transfers
Hummels/Subotic (Def cover)
Goetze+Kagawa or Hamsik+Krasic ( All proven Talent)
Mathieu Valbuena/Eden Hazard (RW to support Torres)
Maybe also a RM/LM to link with other side, Marin, Marvin Martin, Antonio Valencia etc

liverpool fan here
as a ex striker i was shocked with torres' miss, however it is not the worst i have ever seen. the fans have to go easy on the lad otherwise thats it for him.

before i stopped playing i would regularly miss easy chances, but if the fans forgave me i would often score a much harder goal in the same match.

right now he feels like the loneliest man in the world, but if nobody cares about that miss he will be back to his great form.

to say im happy with the result would be untrue. I dont think anytime we loss to Man Utd u can be happy... But we played pretty than man utd and controled the game for longer spells AT OLD TRAFFORD. Against a team that has demolished everyone they have faced this season.

Fernando obvious is struggling for confidence. If he doesnt need to think about the strike he will score. If he needs to actually think about scoring he in trouble.

This game has given me ALOT of hope for the season.

torres and sturridge... they should go play golf or something -.-

Believable5 Unbelievable14

Torres apart from dreadful miss looked to be back near best; but Sturridge looked not quite up to very top level yet, though he may well get there if gets enough playing time perhaps

I'm huge lampard fan but since ge went off. We have looked better, quicker moving ball and were so unlucky not to be in this still. Mata looks class n Torres looking good.

Believable8 Unbelievable1

Chelsea matched Man U in everything but the STRIKERS,Torres had a better game but cant blame anyone else but hinself,he should have had a hatful today, and that open goal,oh dear, thats nothing to do with confidence,or poor service, its simply not good enough,Chelsea played very well and deserved something out of the game,a Tevez instead of Torres and we would challenge, hope it happens.

2 offside goals and bloody lucky goal. United look s**t and lets be honest the lino is b****cks and Dowd is afraid to give anything against United lest face the wrath of SAF.
4-3 to Chelsea just to wipe SAF's little s**tty smug smile off his egg.

Torres 56, 90
Lukaku 75
Sturridge 63

Believable8 Unbelievable4

3-1 !!!!! TORRES!!!!!

Agree7 Disagree3

Nope your wrong and you lost and you are another moaning Chelsea fan that has been supporting them for five years. Do you even remember David Speedie and Robert Fleck and the car-park behind the goal at the shed end. NO because you are a typical part time plastic muppet.

Its rather shameful what was wrote here, i hope it can be put down to alcohol. Learn to take it like a man.

Does anybody else think we should try and bring in David Silva (after selling kalou, malouda, anelka to reduce the wages)?

He wont want to take a step down
