Very. Very dissapointed in losing that clean sheet. We should of kept possession for the final 10 minutes as well.

Note: oh my god Southampton

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yup it sucks to concede that late. Especially as Solanke was just about to get his debut when they scored, at which point Drogba was chosen to come on.
Don't know if I'm worried about not having Azpi available to deal with that massive United attacking force. Hope Luis can bring a fine performance.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yesterday's game was the type of game that we would have dropped points in last season. Yes not great to let a goal in but the main thing is that we won!

Completely agree with you spearce as long as we get 3 points I don't give a shlt

Agree0 Disagree0

I feel there's a certain pride in keeping clean sheets, but that's just me. I really really value defense as the foundation of any team, in almost all sports.
Of course I'm delighted with the 3 points and the team is doing great, but it's a shame we conceded that late.

Agree0 Disagree0

The result is the most important thing but we shouldn't be conceding so late in games. We were lucky this time that we had a 2 goal cushion and that there wasn't a lot of extra time for Palace to push on to equalise. Next time we may not be so lucky.

Cahill has made me very nervous a couple of times during the first 15 minutes. Hopefully he becomes more steady during the game.

Did you not see his world class tackle

Agree0 Disagree0

As I mentioned in the original post, 'during the first 15 minutes'. And yes, he made that great tackle, but I still think we could and should upgrade at cb. Whether that's by trusting one of the young cb's on the books or by buying a new one is a decision I trust the board to make. But I feel that's a position we can do better.

I think he wasn't feeling they are good competitors that's why he was slopy for first 20 mins but later he picked up his game

Agree0 Disagree0

Cahill is looking very very shaky

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We think very much alike, my friend :)
I honestly think that either we should buy a new cb who can step in, or maybe one of the young guys should be given a chance to show their worth.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed, said 3 weeks ago we needed an upgrade on Cahill and got slaughtered by some dude

Agree0 Disagree0

Buying isn't always the answer, plus don't think Cahillvis bad. You guys are over thinking everything. Cahill is decent we have Zouma, Christensen and Omeruo think we need to keep doing what we are doing and build a solid team without spending pointlessly.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wow. top, 22 Points, an jackson and aron have a pop at cahill now that is fickle, get a grip boys!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't know what you were seeing, Cahill looked solid to me. That last ditch tackle was amazing. Seemed like Matic was a bit further forward than usual so maybe that'd be why we seemed a bit less solid, I didn't notice Cahill being so though.

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair Campbell was giving him the runaround for the first 15 or so minutes. I don't know how anyone can argue that.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Oct 2014 20:52:38
First 20 minutes Fraiser Campbell troubled Cahill but after that he settled down and was solid from there onwards. Also the last ditch tackle shows why he doesn't need replacing. 22 points and top of the league, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol I never said he was bad. I said he's good enough if we were to take it to the next step. If it was David Luiz making those mistakes everyone here would be whinging.

His tackle was about the only good thing he produced that day. And got slaughtererd by Frazier Campbell. Couple of weeks ago he got slaughtered by Gomis. Would he play in any of the top teams? I don't think so, and I'm not just gettint mad of one performance. He had a great year last year but only becuase he had 9 other people defending with him. I'm not saying we Definetely need an upgrade but if we want to take it to the next step, we need varane or subotic, and have the rest of youth fight for Terry's spot

Agree0 Disagree0

Again, one tackle doesn't make him amazing. You have Ochoa who is a average keeper, yet at the World Cup he made some saves that were straight at him and got rave reviews, same thing happens with Cahill

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Oct 2014 13:13:36
And I suppose having two slightly below standard performances means he is not good enough even though he was voted in the PFA team of the year last season. And all of a sudden because Fraiser Campbell troubled him for 20 minutes and Gomis, who played really well against Chelsea and caused the whole Chelsea defence problems, you want to upgrade him? Absolutely ridiculous.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Oct 2014 14:38:49
Haha unbelievable. Just stupidty really we always have to spend millions to please these plastic fans don't we. Cahill wasn't even in our first XI this time last year and he ended up in team of the season. Subotic, Why? He's injury prone. Varane can't even get a start for Madrid and if much rather Cahill over Pepe put it that way. Jose knows what he's doing, we've got a great talent in Zouma on the bench and if Cahill wasnt playing well you'd find Mourinho would have dropped him by now. We've also got Kalas to come back so why spend stupid money.

Maticthebeast I do believe thatit is out of order to call other people on here plastic fans. Everyone have their opinion so please no insults! At last we are all blue blooded

Well, have to give it to the man. Aguero is phenomenal player. He literally can do it all. Scores with both feet and from almost every angle imaginable. If he stays fit, he'll definitely be top scorer in the league.

Shame Costa is injured as well. Guess we'll find out iwhether Remy is up to the job. And I'm hoping Solanke gets a run out, if the game situation permits it of course.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He's a glorious player. Best player in league behind Di Maria imo

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not even sure whether he's actually below Di Maria in such a conversation (as in 'best player in the league'). The only problem you've got with Aguero is that he's frequently injured. When he plays, he destroys defences.

Agree0 Disagree0

No way is Di Maria the best player in the league. Ozil started excellently as well, and look at him now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Do not understand how no people here rate di maria

Agree0 Disagree0

Di Maria? Best player in the Prem? You have got to be 'aving a giraffe!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh I do rate Di Maria, but no way is he the best player in the league. There are at least 5 or 6 better than him.

Agree0 Disagree0

I absolutely rate Di Maria. He's a cracking player and certainly among the best in the league. Without him I would not be worried about United, but with him I am a little. He's amazing. But a fit Aguero is about as terrifying an opponent as you're going to get (bar Ronaldo and Messi that is).

Ed001, how was your date with GCU ;)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - hehehe it would have been better but for his wandering hands! I told him he needs to pay for dinner and a movie first!}

LOL. glad you guys had a good time

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - he is a surprisingly nice bloke considering the team he supports! ;o)

Love it haha. Bet he says the same about you lol

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - more likely he says things a lot less complimentary!}

You are a Liverpool fan after all ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

How many from this site have you met up with? Think I remember you seeing reet? Or someone from the Liverpool page.

You live in new dehli right?, how long you been living there? Seems to be a lot or people living over in India from this site and Sb Nation

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I am in Dubai mate, nowhere near Reet! I haven't actually met up with anyone from the Chelsea page as of yet. I have only met up with 3 or 4 in total from all the sites.}

Oh okay! Yeah that's what I meant, on all sites.

It's actually amazing how big the sport is, football. Out of the 4 countries I've been too, the most sport shirts have always been football shirts. Engalnd, USA (New York, LA, MIAMI) Australia ( live here, probs most hated sport by Aussies, yet still most shirts, and Hong Kong (brilliant place, so well developed. Is Dubai well developed? Seems like the place that would be).

Unbelievably how big it is, yet I've probably moved to the worst country possible for Football things, but I couldn't stand England and the way it's run lol

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - you see very few footie shirts here, usually it is ex-pats that wear them only. With Abu Dhabi being part of the same country, there is a fair amount of support for Man City, but very few shirts. Though wearing one makes it almost impossible to go anywhere without being stopped to talk about the football!

By well developed, are you referring to the buildings? If so, it is mixed, mostly it is still being built as the population is expanding at a vast rate. There is something like 84% of the population which is immigrants, and that is growing constantly. So everywhere you go there is building work going on. Some of the older areas, like Bur Dubai are pretty well fully developed though.}

Yeah in general mate, like technology and buildings and areas. Interesting, I'm surprised there isn't many shirts there considering the Indian league.

Ever been to Hong Kong? Absolute beauty of a country the train was unbelievable. The London Underground is one thing, Hong Kong station is something else. All underground, love the country and will go back soon if I can.

Dubai seems nice, my mate went there and loved it. Have to watch for the sandstorms apparently :P

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - depends where you are on the sandstorms, they don't really affect this area much, but my missus works out in Jebel Ali and they are horrible there.

The Metro here is a tourist attraction, though it is far too busy to appreciate it really. That goes underground at the other end of Dubai from me, under the creek (wadi) and they have the station looking like an underwater world. Huge chandeliers on the ceiling are made to look like jellyfish and it is lovely. I love it out here personally, but it is not for everyone.

I have never been to Hong Kong, no. Always wanted to visit just once though.}

Just google 'Hong Kong Train Station' in google images and you'll see what I mean. Although, it's one thing to see it on photo, then to see it in real life

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - it is hard to tell from the pictures mate.}

Dubai does sound great. Definitely will visit one day. My dream was always to travel the world, if only I won the lottery lol.

That underground station sounds great, will look it up right now.

Do you live outside the city then? Never been a fan of cities, been there and explored them but love living just outside it. Being in New York for 3 days killed me lol, the smell of smoke was horrible, and it hurts me seeing many homeless people too, so not really a fan myself

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - this isn't like a normal city mate, it is like lots of mini cities. Where I live is just a bunch of towers clustered round a bunch of lakes. Very nice, but I won't be able to afford to stay here again next year. Shame, because it is within walking distance of the beach and the marina.}

Holy Jesus! Dubai looks wonderful, Wadi waterpark, which I think is the thing you was talking about before, looks outrageous.

Looks like I'll be putting Italy on hold, Dubai will be where my money goes next 😎

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - there is no shortage of things to do, but I would recommend not visiting at the height of summer!}

Oh okay makes sense. That is a shame, sounds like a wonderful place, where will you be off to after that then? Do you have any ideas? Is it expensive living in Dubai?

I'm 24, and all my money has gone into travelling, as well as saving up for the future, on normal wage I know it's only going to be few more travels before me and my girlfriend move in together to a house, instead of renting apartment, and we don't really have anything ourselves right now, prices in Australia for general goods are so high compared to other countries.

Last bit of major travelling me reckons. But then again, it really only depends on what you spend your money on, me, it's on traveling, girlfriend it's on latest IPads and phones lol

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - still in Dubai but just in a much cheaper area of it. It can be expensive, depends on the area you are in. The public transport is dirt cheap and clean and efficient too, which is a change from the UK! The rents here are shooting up, as are house prices, but again it mostly depends on which area you are in.

The main advantage is that there is no VAT, so buying stuff does tend to be cheaper than countries that tax you.}

Exactly on when I was planning on it lol, kidding, wouldn't go near it haha

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - it is cheaper then, but it is so hot you won't want to be outside.}

Lucky! Taking a train to Brisbane (closest city to me) costs crazy amounts of money, as well as petrol, and buses are $5 more over here on average than any other country.

A water over here is $4, whereas in America it's 84 cence lol

So that's annoying. But I guess that's what happnes when you live so damn far away.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - if you go to the touristy areas, or the areas full of British ex-pats they tend to put up the prices. You go where all the Asian workers live and it is so much cheaper. I prefer those cheaper areas anyway personally, they are not as posh and the people tend to be friendlier. Areas like JLT (where I am currently) and the Marina has too many people who look down their nose at everyone else.}

Exactly what I do, don't shop at the posh areas, shop at the areas with actual standard prices. At Brisbane, there's south bank, north bank ect, and the prices are outrageous, then just past that, there's markets and the prices are almost half of those at south bank, south bank is beautiful mind you.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - if you do visit, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah are much cheaper.}

Will write that down, and research it all about next year.

Anyway, going to watch this chelsea game, thanks for the talk, have a good day (or night) mate

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - take care mate. Enjoy the game.}
