can i just point out that ron gourlay stated last week, that drogba would not be leaving stamford bridge this summer, so talk of a drogba + cash deal for modric can be ruled out. although kalou or anelka could be used as a makeweight

You have to give Chelsea's staff some credit. They placed a bid they knew tottenham wouldn't accept however by making this bid publicly. Luka modric has since came out and declared his interest to leave. That isn't the first time as they also did it with Torres in the January transfer window and then he eventually placed a transfer request allowing us to bring him in. You can argue some of their decisions but I find this tactic to be very clever.

People seem to forget that a lot of players have never played in the Prem. before and succeed rather nicely. There's a big chance that players like these will come back and burn you badly.

1st of all fantastic site, this is my questions is there a possibility of us getting both Neymar and Aguero, if not which are we more likely to get pls. a specific answer will be mostly appreciated rather than a vague one thanks. am confused y did you ignore my question the 1st time i asked it. {Ed001's Note - Aguero interest was dropped after hearing his wage demands in January, I would be very surprised if interest was ever revived. Hasn't Neymar signed for Madrid?}
