Anyone else think Handanovic would be a great shout as goalkeeper? Experienced head too very underrated as he plays outside of the champions league and at Inter.

Yeah but inter are in the champions league this year.

Ed mentioned on euro page that Pogba had been offered to Chelsea along with Madrid Barcelona and PSG. kante Jorginho Pogba. wow. But we're not interested so. but here's to dreaming,

Just seen that myself. Very interesting! Although they must be looking for a very high price if no one is biting, probably even higher for us than the other teams as we are PL rivals.

That would be some midfield agreed but he’d be massively expensive and isn’t consistent enough in the league for me.

however it would not be beyond the realms if hazard where too leave I would imagine a name like pogba would be seemed out to replace him.

I'm guessing Man United want to quickly correct their mistake (Pogba) and would most likely use the funds that they get from his sale for Milinkovic Savic (a better player) . I prefer we go for the better player- Milinkovic Savic even if he's above £100m.
Pogba? Is he better than Bakayoko😉.

Pogba has shown his top player. Just not working under Jose, for whatever reason,

19 Jul 2018 21:21:00
Imo Pogba is overrated. He could be very good on his day but not consistent enough for a worldie and his price too.

Videos from Chelsea training has caught Zola involved and taking part, not official but his looking like assistant to Sarri, and cudicini staying on.

I don’t understand how people can say they will be happy with Pickford or pope as a replacement for courtois. Yes they had decent seasons, but are they really good enough for us, NO! It’s a joke.

Who would you bring in then? I realise that in an ideal world Courtouis would be staying with us but we can't always have what we want. There's a serious lack of top goalkeepers out there at the moment, especially ones that aren't already at top level teams. Pickford is young and has shown over two seasons (including a World Cup) that he's a good GK. Pope was probably the best in the Prem last season in his first season in the PL and is young as well. Just because he doesn't have the reputation of an Alisson or isn't playing abroad doesn't mean he isn't capable.

I think you are forgetting his rickets last season. Barcelona game for a start. So if we get schmeichal as a replacement i will be happy. First season courtoise came for every corner controlled everything. Each season more and more mistakes. Plus his distribution isn't great so let him go and move on. Nobody is bigger than ghe club.200k a week is good for a keeper. So he won't get more.

Honestly I’m still hoping for a Willian moment and we snatch Alisson from Liverpool. 2nd choice would be Donnaruma then Cech or Schmeichel. Schmeichel wouldn’t be a bad choice but it’s just seems like every transfer lately is the clubs 3rd or 4th choice for the positions we need. It’s not surprising why the team is struggling on the pitch and by the looks of it struggling to keep hold of our best players.

TBO let him go but just for money we don't want navas he's terrible not a big fan of TBO to be fair we were that frightened of loading him we sold Pete a few year to early tho he hasn't had a great time at arsenal. The atletico Madrid keeper of be in for.

If we’re losing Tibo we shouldn’t be settling for Pickford butland pope or schmiecal, yes they are all decent keeper but no where near courtois level. If we lost him we should be going for a world class keeper like Oblak, I know it’ll be difficult and expensive but it needs to be done.
And Cech? Are you serious? Been one of the worst goal keepers in the premier league last 2 seasons and like 50.

Great press conference from Sarri, when asked about he hasn't won a trophy he said his been in Italy for 5 years and apart from Juve nobody's really won anything. talks about playing with fun and enjoying it and how his a pitch manager and not interested in transfers.

I love the Sarri story. He's built his reputation in football from the bottom, had to do it the hard way which is why he's always improving as a manager. Didn't come from a professional footballing background like many managers like Pep, Conte, Poch etc have so can't have been easy to get into the game but when there's talent you'll always succeed! I also remember reading a quote from him saying that football management is the only job in the world he would do for free as he loves it so much!

Higuain maybe 30 but his stats are very impressive. Sarri is putting the spine of the team in place with players he trusts and who understand his methods and way of playing. Jorginho in place in midfield, Higuain up front, Centre back and keeper to follow? Will make the transition to his way of playing a lot smoother. seems like a plan to me.

2005-2007 River Plate 35 (13)
2007-2013 Real Madrid 190 (107)
2013-2016 Napoli 104 (71)
2016-Juventus 73 (40)

Compare his stats in the last three years, he's declined.

Has been a great (really great) player. Won't be a good signing.

J: Last year was the only time he has dropped off and it is getting harder for strikers. Age must play a part but he is still good for a goal every two games and we need a couple of 20 goals a season players. My concern is £50m+ for someone who is 31 in December and we normally only offer a year by year contract.

As much as it is probably just paper talk, I think Barca's Dembele and £70m would be an alright deal. Some money to further invest in the squad and a top quality young player. Remember they spent a hell of a lot on him last year and whilst it didn't work out, he's still very young and showed at Dortmund just how good he is!
Similarly with Real, we should be looking to get either Asensio or Isco plus cash as part of a deal. Then spend the extra cash on Bailey and the team is looking good once again even without the talent of Eden.

Keeper situation is really worrying me however. Not convinced by Alisson but haven't seen enough to comment and plenty of people have spoken highly of him so I'll take their judgement. Pope had a very solid year last season, same with Pickford. Oblak would be a dream but not sure it would be possible and he'd be extremely expensive. Donnarumma is the last option I believe we could consider. Again whilst I haven't seen too much of him and heard he has some attitude problems, he's still very young and must have something about him to be starting for AC Milan and Italy in his teenage years. What's everyone's thoughts?

Last thing to worry about is Kante. Does anyone (Eds? ) know if it's a real possibility that he might leave this summer? I'm not too worried myself but if he was looking to leave we wouldn't stand in his way I'm sure. Seems he's happy for the time being though thankfully!

Not bothered about Willian personally, if we can get £60m plus he can go for all I care as long as we replace him suitably. Options are Bailey (already mentioned), Brandt, Malcom. Anyone else? Open to suggestions!

Sorry for long post guys just a little worried about what might happen at our wonderful club over the coming years! Would love to hear from you all.

A quick transition from defence to attack and the wide forwards running in behind. demebele would be great, very quick and didn’t work for him at Barca. a lot of money thou. junk this was problem all along. it’s hazard out someone in, I just think if we added that quality he’d be more likely to stay.

Don't think Dembele is a possibility unless Eden leaves, too much money involved if you ask me! But I agree, seems Eden really has a soft spot for us and if we can show him that we mean business we could build around him with top quality. Move Cahill on and make Hazard captain and he clearly flourishes with the armband as shown for Belgium!

I’d much rather Asensio than dembele, still hope Eden stays. Real’s clock is ticking.
