Guys, it's written in the stars that Crouch is going to join us. Then he's going to come on in the 90th minute away against Barca, and score the header of all headers to send us through to the next round!

He's then going to single handedly win us the Champions League final, before busting out the Robot celebration one last time before retiring at the end of the season!

You couldn't make this stuff up, it's what dreams are made of!

I bet azpi supplies the cross now that would be a total shock.

Back up striker who's English and different to morata . hmmm vardy, hard working fast and runs in behind and scores, would press from the front too,

Believable4 Unbelievable0

{Ed018's Note - doesn’t meet the new height requirements for striker at Chelsea}

18 Jan 2018 22:01:55
were being linked with crouch now our club is turning into a shambles i hooe barkley puts his doubters wrong do.

18 Jan 2018 22:13:51
😂😂😂😂😂 If only tore Andre flow was English he would meet the requirements,

I say let's get Drogba back, he might be nearing 40 but he's still better than everyone we're supposedly looking at. Drogba please save us!

18 Jan 2018 22:39:10
I’ve mentioned Vardy before the lad is lethal and he’d do wonders at Chelsea. I’d take him and Mahrez.

18 Jan 2018 23:33:17
Walcott was available I'd even take sturridge back b4 Carrol or crouch
Saying that I would take greavesie over them two clowns
Peter crouch ffing seriously
I cannot phathom what mentally insane, frothing at the mouth with a spurs shirt on, type of nutcase would put Peter I have to crouch or Andy I drink from the barrel carrol on a list and walk into a boardroom with that idea and not expect the other board members not to think they were on trigger happy TV

I think ed002 is a fake news journo and he's getting his own back on the CFC trolling twats by broadcasting this fake news so we all get laughed at
It's the only plausible explanation I can come up with
Won't get posted lol
but please someone put us out of our misery this can't be true edd002
I will not watch CFC if crouch comes I couldn't bare it the laughing will be heard throughout Europe when he steps on the pitch.

18 Jan 2018 21:08:14
Well boys I have to say I was joking yesterday but today's news has us linked with peter crouch.

All you can do is laugh at this point.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed018's Note - you literally can’t make this stuff up. If this is true the club lacks ambition at this point. Who in that room can sit there with a straight face and discuss how a Andy Carroll or Peter Crouch improves the team.}

18 Jan 2018 21:19:39
Ed018 - who is doing the transfers at the club now Emanelo has gone?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed018's Note - I assume Marina Granovskaia would be the main person at this point but I’m not sure. Maybe they hired some basketball scout to take care of it since we are after all these 6 ft 5 inch forwards}

18 Jan 2018 21:25:10
Just bring Abraham back from his loan or what about silmani from Leicester?

It’s incredible mate. It really is. I’m flabbergasted at the players we are linked with. Smacks of desperation. Think djobodji, hector etc. Embarrassing.

18 Jan 2018 21:32:01
Surely something's going on or the media is making the whole thing up, it's crazy crazy stuff.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind if Carrol or Crouch was third choice, would be a smart buy, but if it's for backup then the people a the club are absolute clowns. I'm going to apply myself at this point.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Jan 2018 21:41:03
Scuzzle. a troll I presume? No wonder Ed002 doesn’t want to come back on this chelsea site! What hope do we have!

Agree0 Disagree3

18 Jan 2018 21:56:31
Well I assume Morata is main striker and they are just looking for someone better than bats until end of the season, who knows if conte will be here. Perhaps conte has someone else in mind, but they are not available until the summer. Obviously looking for someone on a short term basis who can do a better job than Bats,

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed018's Note - someone better then Batshuyai isn’t Carroll or Crouch}

18 Jan 2018 22:20:11
Ed018 is there anything that Ed002 can pass on Baka yourself to us chelsea fans please? Anything would do really. 😁.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed018's Note - I’ll ask when he’s around}

18 Jan 2018 22:28:53
I disagree after watching bats last night and his first touch the poor chap is completely devoid of confidence. Call me completely mad but I think Peter crouch would do a good job until the end of the season. Anyway must go as lights out here in broadmoor,

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Jan 2018 22:46:03
Don’t get me wrong and god forbid the links for crouch or the thug Carroll are truly, but both are better than bats and would offer more threat.
However if they are looking for cover till end of the season they could do worse than Defoe at least he knows where the net is. He is still capable. As I say if they are looking for cheap cover.

I said same bobby Contes tactics are clueless at times this wingback system is crap.

Believable0 Unbelievable4

18 Jan 2018 17:14:05
We are all fed up with CFC form and transfer business or lack of it right now, but the wing-back system did work last season and should surely not be ruled out completely. May be a case for trying something different in next couple of games. Certainly CFC/ Conte need to be more flexible, able to change system/ formation more often, play two strikers at times to keep opposition CBs busier, make earlier substitutions/ at half time rather than 76th min when someone (eg Bakayoko in many recent games) playing poorly etc.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Jan 2018 20:31:39
That's probably what I wanted to say jbs we changed formation last year when things weren't working why not again this year.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Jan 2018 21:20:58
How is not working exactly? 6 clean sheets in last 7 games, just not scoring that’s all. But we are making chances, just not finishing them. So. cannot really say that the formation isn’t working!

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Jan 2018 22:03:33
never mind his tactics look at the state of the players were after to improve the squad peter crouch and andy caroll😂😂.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jan 2018 14:35:39
we all agree we don't want caroll but its a no brainer swapping michy bats for him til the summer aa conte doesn't want michy an carroll is more suited to our terrible style of play this season.

Believable0 Unbelievable4

18 Jan 2018 14:43:46
Why settle for another mediocre player? A injury prone player to add? What’s the point? If we want to get rid of Bats, then I’d rather call Tammy back from Swansea.

18 Jan 2018 12:21:43
Ed001, got a question if you're around. It's not transfer related.

What do you make of Kante's evolution at Chelsea? Do you think he's improved a lot since Leicester? I've been amazed at how good his technique has come on over the past year. He's really comfortable on the ball now, and still as lively on defense as ever.

Cheers, mate.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - I don't know if he has really improved as much as it seems or he just has more opportunity to show how good he actually is now and his confidence is growing. Either way he has improved massively, which takes some doing when he was such an excellent player to begin with!}

18 Jan 2018 10:13:37
I am note sure if any of you feel the same way but why does Morata fall to the ground so easily?

He seems to only need a slight touch to come crashing down. For a big lad if he stayed on his feet more often then he probably scores more goals and certainly doesn't get a red card yesterday. Worst yet he falls dowm and then always argues with ref. I mean yesterday he even grabbed the ball before rhe ref even deemed any foul. Real Madrid habits die hard but he must realise this is the premier league.

Conte should have sorted this out with Morata awhile back. This should have been the first thing he took out of morata's game. Diego Costa used to relish challanges and used to stay on his feet and the end product used to be a goal.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

18 Jan 2018 12:44:33
So did Didier when he first came to the prem. mate, I remember him getting booed by the Chelsea fans for falling over so often and Jose having a word with him to cut it out.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Jan 2018 14:00:07
Its just a very bad trait. If he sorts this issue out then he becomes more of a dangerous player.

Hopefully Conte let's rip after yday's red card. Very selfish of Morata. Not only did he put us in a bad position yday but also for our game over the weekend. Maybe he was frustrated given his misses yday.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Jan 2018 15:08:49
He is not being guided and is not used to EPL defenders on him so quickly. As pointed out already, Drogba used to fall over as if he had been shot until told to cut it out.

Agree1 Disagree0

19 Jan 2018 13:23:08
I remember it was JT and Lamps who 'had a word' with Drogba about his embarrassing histrionics. That's the problem - we now have no leadership in the dressing room - who's going to tell Morata?

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jan 2018 09:43:03
If there's one thing I believe we do NOT need, it's a replacement for Alonso. In my eyes, we've got the perfect back up in Kenedy. I believe he's a much better replacement for Alonso than Zappacosta is for Moses.

Believable1 Unbelievable4

18 Jan 2018 10:04:00
Kenedy would be roasted time and time again against good players. He’s played against mediocre players and got away with it time and time again. No way is he good or intelligent enough to play LWB against the likes of Sanchez, Martial etc. They would have a field day. Not for me. A decent back up to Alonso or better still, upgrade on Alonso and get Sandro.

I remember back when we had 7 very good players on the bench! Like city’s bench now, but we don’t. No where near it in fact. And that’s the worrying part!

Agree2 Disagree0

18 Jan 2018 11:23:30
Hmm, I get what you're saying about him being recked against better players, but I certainly believe he's better than for instance Emerson. I think perhaps Douglas Santos, Ryan Bertrand or Riza Durmisi would be suitable.

Agree1 Disagree1

18 Jan 2018 11:34:55
Bertrand or Sandro for me. Bert knows the club inside/ out and with rotation think it could work well with Alonso. Otherwise sign Sandro and make him our number 1 LWB.

But what I don’t get is that we are looking to sell Baba Rahman who could quite easily play understudy to Alonso and buy emerson whose coming back from the same injury as Baba. Makes no sense. but hey this is Chelsea!

Any of you know how Jay Dasilva is doing at charlton?
I’d go for tierney of Celtic I know pat nevin rates him highly as I’ve read it before he would be a good judge of character imo.

Review Of The Day 18th January 2018

{Ed's Note - we have posted a new article entitled, Review Of The Day 18th January 2018

Believable0 Unbelievable0

18 Jan 2018 00:18:51
Really getting tired of all this now. Don't think we can just blame the board think them and Conte need to share the blame. Had enough of seeing us spend 20 million plus on squad players I. e Drinkwater and Zappacosta and now we're linked with Carroll. Never understood over the years why we didn't just play the likes of Ake, Chalobah and RLC more and then just get two world class players. We desperately need a change of tactics perhaps 4-3-3 again but we need to do something different. I understand if the club see the Sanchez deal as too much for a 29 year old but why on Earth are we not in for Mahrez he's there for the taking? No one with concrete interest yet either. He's the right age, left footed and will ease the burden on Hazard. He'd make a perfect RW if we go back to a 4-3-3.

These Carroll rumours are making me sick as well. If it was up to me I'd sell half this squad. Van Ginkel and Loftus-Cheek are better than Bakayoko and Drinkwater and they were about 40 million less. Fabregas isn't mobile enough now. Willian and Pedro are good players but not good enough for us. Batshuayi just doesn't move enough. Zappacosta should just not play football.

Personally I would sell Zappacosta, Moses, Drinkwater, Bakayoko, Batshuayi, Fabregas, Willian, Pedro and Kenedy. Bring back Van Ginkel and RLC who have better all round games than Drinkwater and Bakayoko. Then target maybe three class players who would start for us I. e Alex Sandro, Mahrez, Icardi and Vidal. From what I've seen of Sterling, Ampadu and Hudson Odoi they're more than capable of being options if trusted. Musonda needs a loan desperately to prove himself. Hudson-Odoi is special though he is a match winner and I'd capable of goals and assists something which we are sorely lacking right now.

Sorry for the rant but I hate seeing us waste money on absolute dross. Our youngsters are better than most of these average players we are targeting then save the money and go out and get two world class players who will genuinely improve us.

Have tou been reading my mind? I agree 100% with what you said.

Agree3 Disagree1

18 Jan 2018 03:36:39
Spot on, we've been wasting money over the years time and time again on players that weren't needed if they'd just look at what we have in the academy or what they were sending out on loan. It's shocking we're going after Carroll yet have Tammy out on loan and Hudson-odio in the academy. If Carroll is one Conte wanted then ok, but there should be no stopping us going for the likes of Mahrez and Sandro. We're too intent of going after these medicore, middle aged players for £15-30m just soo they can hopefully do a ok job and be sold on in the future for similar or bigger sum.

Agree4 Disagree0

18 Jan 2018 10:13:06
Think jury is still out on RLC to be honest. Hasn’t set the world alight at Palace in my opinion. Bakayoko needs time. French League is so easy compared to Prem. We’ll see a different animal next year. He started well enough I thought, just gone off the boil like 90% of the players.

I’m afraid youth football is 100% different to first team football. So players that look fantastic in youth football, can easily struggle with the demand of 1st team pressure. You have to negotiate it slowly. You can’t just chuck a young player in and expect them to cope with that straight away. That could easily mentally break a young player. Manager has to make sure they are not only physically ready but also mentally prepared. It’s very different playing in front of 200-300 people at a youth game to 40,000+ in a 1st team game.

You are right though, we’ve been making terrible transfer choices in the last few seasons and something has to give. Personally I’m not sure what direction the club want to go in, one avenue is to use the academy players more (but don’t expect champs league football straight away) or go out and buy class players and spend the money. At the moment they seem to be trying to do a bit of both and it’s not working, as the players they are buying aren’t good enough. Batshuayi should never have been purchased, Morata will come good, no doubt about that.

There’s a lot more questions then there are answers at the moment at Chelsea.

18 Jan 2018 18:03:31
Good shout Adam I personally would be ok with intergrating the youth over the next few years and just trying to get in the top 4 if possible
Build a nice new foundation for a young exciting team.
