Three things;
The assist for franks first premier league goal for us
His last game was the win over Liverpool that qualified us for the champions league and without which abramovic might not have bought the club
Drogba scored his first goal for us in his testimonial

One name;
Zola

Oh yes

Sorry to say after that first that drogba cannot start the game he gives us nothing up front and secondly there are doubts about the defence. Two/three times they ran at us and blind panic.
I don't understand this let the opposition have the ball just outside the area and not close them down. We invite teams to shoot. That's 7 goals conceded and how many were poor defending probably 7 of them.
I like attacking play, but we cannot adopt a we will score more than you approach.

We gave them far too much space on the edge of the box tonight & backing off when they were running at us! Draxler started running the show because he was given too much space, remy was unlucky not to score but I guess it was just one of those nights

I completely agree with you andrew. I don't understand why Drogba started. I would have started Remy if we were resting Costa for Man City at the weekend and then if we got a two goal margin bring Drogba on. Also the gap between our midfield and our defence is too big and has been in every game so far this season. Way too much space for teams to exploit and with the lack of pace in our defence the last thing we want is teams breaking at them with no midfield cover. You could also see today without Costa who is clinical in front of goal we could have the same problems as last season. Hazard gets himself into fantastic positions but needs to work hard on his finishing as he could have scored a few tonight. Luckily we have an easy group on paper so this result shouldn't affect our qualification for the knockout stages but definitely need to have an improved performance for the weekend.

The thing that worries me is we play two holding midfield players but if you look back at the games we have played so far this season, teams seam to be creating a lot more chances than you would expect. On last nights game I thought luis played very well but unfortunate for him is ivanovic and azpilicueta are playing just as solid at the moment. Also on last nights game, after taking the lead we sunk back to last years way of playing where there was no pressure high up the pitch. When you look at Costa shouting and screaming for people to help him close down defenders/goalkeeper etc. Don't get me wrong I'm fully confident we will top this group and again draxler is a huge talent who I would love to see at the bridge.

Hi everyone,
I was just re-watching the 12/13 season review, when super frank scored number 203 (and I'm not ashamed to say I shed a tear each time I see it) and got to thinking; our generation has seen so many great moments, didier's penalty, franks league winning goal against Bolton, di matteo's fa cup super start, zola's twisted blood against the dons, drubbing barca at the bridge a couple of times. We have also witnessed true heroes and legends of the club. I, sadly, am too young to have seen ossie and chopper in their prime but have met them several times and even played for their academy. I just wanted to give a shout out to players who are not considered legends necessarily but have contributed great things to the super blues; ivanovic, jfh and the like. Was just wondering who people would put in this class of Chelsea greats who.deserve our thanks.

Makelele for me pure class

Dennis wise, tore Andre flo, makelele, but for me growing up my idol was Zola. the guy was pure class! The newer looking chelsea team has plenty of legends in the making that's for sure!

By saying ballack I even meant that he was so underrated in world level as I think he was one of his best in his position in the whole world
