loan round up of all players out on loan, copy & pasted from 'we aint got no history' if any of you wanna see how the likes of mceachran davillas or hutchinson & van aanholt are doing. BLUEBOY1

Romelu Lukaku (West Bromwich Albion): Lukaku came on at the start of the second half in a 3-0 to Fulham, and he had himself another solid showing. He had one shot that drew a save, won two of his three aerial battles, and did not misplace a single pass. He does need to protect the ball better when he's driving into the box though, as he was dispossessed three times. Steve Clarke has been impressed with him, and he figures to get a start in the near future as Peter Odemwingie sits out three games after a straight red for violent conduct.

Yossi Benayoun (West Ham United): Yossi made his Hammer debut in the 87th minute. He managed three more touches in that time than he'll likely get for Chelsea in the future.

Thibaut Courtois (Atletico Madrid): The Belgian number one had very little to do for the first 81 minutes of the game, but then the Atletico defense decided to take the rest of the night off. The 4-0 lead quickly became a 4-3 narrow victory, but there was really nothing Courtois could have done with any of the goals.

Michael Essien (Real Madrid): Essien was an unused substitute as Real Madrid lost to Sevilla. With the loss, Real Madrid are now eight points behind Barcelona. The La Liga title race may already be over.

Kevin De Bruyne (Werder Bremen): De Bruyne played in a central midfield role, and he was absolutely fantastic in Werder's 3-2 loss. The Tintin look-alike touched the ball 65 times in his central role and completed 79% of his passes. Oh yeah, he scored a goal as well.

Jeffrey Bruma (Hamburger SV): Like Bremen, HSV lost 3-2 over the weekend. Jeffrey Bruma played the full 90 at right back, and he was by far the best of the HSV defender. With that being said, he still didn't have a particularly great game and was largely responsible for the first goal. Bruma is a more than capable defender on the right, but he just doesn't offer all that much to the attack

Milan Lalkovic (Vitoria SC): Liga Sagres had only a single fixture scheduled this weekend, so Vitoria scheduled a friendly. Lalkovic got the start, played the full 90, scored a goal and assisted another.

Matej Delac (Vitoria SC): Delac was on the bench for the Vitoria friendly, but he did not play.

Tomas Kalas (Vitesse Arnhem): Tomas Kalas played all of last season in the center of the defense, but he made his second straight appearance for Vitesse at right back over the weekend. Shockingly enough, he's a pretty excellent right back. He scored a goal in this one, the second senior goal of his career.

Patrick van Aanholt (Vitesse Arnhem): PvA didn't want to be outdone by the other Chelsea fullback playing for Vitesse, so he had an outstanding game of his own and assisted on a pair of goals. He may have been the best player on the pitch, but that didn't stop one of the worst refereeing decisions I've ever see from landing him in the books.

Gael Kakuta (Vitesse Arnhem): Kakuta did not play as he was nursing a slight injury.

Kenneth Omeruo (ADO Den Haag): Omeruo took his usual starting place on the right hand side of the defense, and as usual he was very impressive in the 3-1 victory. He added an assist in the away win for Den Haag, and was all over the right side of the pitch. With as poorly as the Nigerian national team has looked recently, you'd have to think that Omeruo is making his way onto the radar. The again, I almost hope Nigerian coach Stephen Keshi is never allowed anywhere near the young defender.

Amin Affane (Roda JC): Affane got his first start for Roda, and he was very good in the 4-0 loss to AZ Alkmaar. The talent gap between the two clubs is pretty immense, so it will be interesting to see how Affane looks when the game is a little more competitive.

Thorgan Hazard (Zulte-Waregem): Hazard played in an advanced midfield role over the weekend, and he was very, very good for Zulte. I think it's fairly likely that he's going to be one of the better players in the Belgian League by the end of this season.

Josh McEachran (Middlesbrough): Josh started again for Middlesbrough, and he had what was likely his best game since joining on loan. As usual, he was very calm and composed in possession. What stood out for me on the weekend, though, was his work in defense. He found himself in the perfect spot to intercept the ball on a few occasions, and his tackling looked pretty good as well.

Sam Hutchinson (Nottingham Forest): Hutch started again at right back for Nottingham Forest, and he looked pretty good in doing so. It's nice to see that his knee injuries of the past don't seem to be affecting his play this season. The regular minutes appear to be helping his fitness considerably, and he's been much more active than he ever was for Chelsea last season.

Ben Gordon (Birmingham City): For the second straight weekend, Gordon did not play for Birmingham. Gordon will be out of contract at the end of this season, and if he can't beat out David Murphy for minutes it would seem unlikely he'll ever have a use at Chelsea. It's time to start impressing in training Ben...

Nathaniel Chalobah (Watford): Chalobah was named to the bench, but he went unused by Gianfranco Zola's side on the weekend.

Ulises Davila (CE Sabadell): Davila played a pair of games and Davila scored in the first. He scored the opener as Sabadell beat Hercules 2-0, and then came off the bench as Sabadell came back to beat Real Madrid B 3-2. He looks very good so far this season.

Archange Nkumu (Yeovil Town):Nkumu was an unused substitute this past weekend for Yeovil Town. I'd expect to see him return to Chelsea shortly.

Rohan Ince (Yeovil Town): Ince was also unused on the weekend, but in Ince's case it's a bit of a surprise. Hopefully he'll be back on the pitch for the next roundup.

Conor Clifford (Portsmouth): Clifford was an unused substitute on the bench, and his one-month loan is winding down. He hasn't forced his way into regular minutes yet, so it would be a surprise if the loan is extended.

Sam Walker (Bristol Rovers): Walker is getting plenty of work at Bristol, as his defense might be the worst in any of the top four divisions of English football. He let in four that he couldn't have done much about in the defeat to Gillingham, but honestly it could have been so much worse. At least he's getting lot's of work on his shot stopping.

Jhon Pirez (Leganes): Pirez appears to be injured. Anyone surprised?

Top post mate.

Out of the 24 i'd say you're probably looking at 9/10 being possible regulars for the Chelsea squad in the future. Courtois, Lukaku, Josh and De Bruyne for definate. Kalas, Chalobah, Hazard, Davila, Hutchinson and Lalkovic possibly.

On a side note, did anybody just watch the Chelsea: Champions of Europe programme on SS1? Fantastic. Couldn't stop smiling. Goosebumps the whole way through.

OsgoodIsKing

Agree2 Disagree0

Great post, thanks.

Agree0 Disagree0

Imo Hutchinson will never be a regular he is 23 and in no way better than cahill or luiz at centra back and with chelsea just signed Azpilicueta, who will become our regular rb for years to come, i doubt he will become a regular, but thats only my opinion.

Agree0 Disagree0

In a team of 25 guys, 14 aren't regulars. It's called a squad.

This is what I think Chelsea could look like in a season or two. All of these players are transfer targets so it is a very possible chance that this is what the team will look like:
Courtois

Azpil Cahill Luiz Bertrand

Fellaini

Hazard Oscar Mata

Torres Falcao
or if he sticks with the one striker and two CDMs
Courtois

Azpil Cahill Luiz Bertrand

Fellaini Ramires

Hazard Oscar Mata

Torres/Falcao

A lot of interchanging between the creative midfield line. Switch between the CDMs such as Fellaini, Ramires and Romeu. Personally I think the first team is better. There is only one defensive mid and may not offer enough cover for the back 4 but if Falcao and Torres are partner shipped then they will be banging in goals left right and centre......We might concede 2 or 3 a game but we'll hammer in 5 anyway so no biggy
RT

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Please tell me torres will be gone in 2 years!!

Agree3 Disagree4

Fellaini ain't a CDM.
He plays in the hole for everton and he ain't good enough to play their for us.
He looks good when he has the ball lumped up to him to win a flick on but that's about it.
Thought we were trying to get away from that.
Cfcmatt.

Agree0 Disagree3

Actually matt fellaini is a centre mid. moyes uses him their because of the hassle he causes.

Agree3 Disagree0

Thanks for copying and pasting. Interesting read.

IB.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fellani would boss the centre of midfield

i hope torres goes next summer personally im bored of defending him

RT id rather we didnt concede 2 or 3 a game because we would get 5 goals against the barca's, madrids and city's of football

Just watched the highlights of Juve's game against Genoa. I found from watching the highlights several things.
1) Although they have some excellent defenders, it seemed as though they are weak from set pieces and balls into the box. Corners and Set pieces we should take advantage of.
2) Their forward line is not great, they rely on the midfield for goals and assists a lot of the time.
3) Giaccherini. I didn't just pick him out because he scored (although it was a lovely shot), I picked him out because he is fast and will cut in, so you will need to track him as he drifts in.
4) Finally they push their full backs right up when attacking, so it's of an massive importance that when we break we break fast, and have Moses and Hazard on the wings not Rami and Bertrand.

Thought I'd let you chaps know what I thought.

P.s Look out for Giovinco!

I think Roman gave Robbie the most exciting players to work with Possible but he keeps picking the boring ones .Maybe he's scared of the sack?
And Torres has to grow up and not have a fit when he isn't the only one thought about like he has been for the past 18months .I mean if he has been banging in the goals well different story then all together.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Rubbish post.. Who's complaining about boring, its about better players in their natural position being left out or needing a formation change.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would of been frustrated too. people should be moaning about lamps mikel pivot role and RDM playing people out of position.

Love to see us really experiment with carling cup, not just use fringe and young Players but formations, I'd have mixture of players to try balance
Things
Cech
Azpilcueta ivanovic cahil Bertrand
Romeu Oscar
Fuerz Piazon. Moses
Sturridge

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Never guna happen! What about Marin? This would be an ideal game for him to start. Along with OSCAR and Moses. Piazon to come off the bench with 30mins left (After we're 3-0 up! lol) DJ

Agree2 Disagree0

Swap fuerz with Marin then

Agree2 Disagree0

Having seen him play many times Feruz is a central striker...ineffective as a winger

Agree0 Disagree1

Wouldn't experimenting with different formations mean not playing the 4-2-3-1? Would defo like to see a lot more of the kids playing tho, good experience and I'm not to fussed about winning the COC cup this year ;)
Marley

Agree1 Disagree0

Our 25mil pound signing Oscar shouldbe in the starting 11 for Juve and EPL games instead of with squad players. Imagine that, with our lack of creativity in midfield the past few years the #10 for Brazil's national team can't get a game.

Agree1 Disagree0

Oscar has only recently joined, has been on international duty and is still very young. Also how many games have we played this season?!

Give it time, he'll have a lot more minutes on the pitch soon enough.

In a kind of 4-3-3, this would be 'my' line-up and preferred duo/trio for each position (*Little/no preference to who starts or comes from the bench, as I believe there's quality in all these players).
------------Cech/*Curtious------------
Azpi/Iva-Luiz/Cahil/JT/-Cole/RB

Ramirez/Romeu--Mikel/McEachran

-----Oscar/Lamps/Piazon-----

Hazard/Moses-----------Mata/Marin

----Torres/Sturridge----

NB: Hope these Fellaini ruomours r true!

Ivanovic*Luiz*Terry*Cole

Oscar*Mikel

Moses*Mata*Hazard

Torres

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Oscar wont start for some f-ing reason!!
I really wana see this guy start a match, he runs the brazil team with a lot of class players in the side, why RDM keeps playing Ramires as a winger i dont know! Lampard and Ramires in the pivot with Hazard, Mata and OCSAR all rotating behind the striker. Who that striker should be is a tough one! DJ

Init keeps out ganso & kaka

when rdm was appointed, i was one of a few who voiced our concerns if he was the right man for the job,we got slaughtered, plastic fans, etc etc, 4 games in ,top of the league, but i have noticed a lot of u turns by many of the persons that threw the abuse our way, like i said before i hope rdm proves me wrong, but its only a matter of time with his team selections and tactics before we start dropping down the table ,as the cup games are starting now.

rayzor

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Your complaining about di matteo have you seen the start of pools, citys and uniteds seasons the only team on a par with us at the moment is arsenal

you can expect to win every game and theres always going to be bad games for us look at madrid they have done nothing so far there like 6 points a drift of barca

curt

Agree1 Disagree3

As usual curt" read the post",4 games top of the league i said!!!!!and a matter of time, the next bit,how did i ever know if someone was going to jump down my throat it would be you.

Agree1 Disagree1

Soz...
rayzor

Agree0 Disagree1

I was referring to the fact that you was against di matteo in the first place

we was poor against queens park but we will have bad games

curt

Agree1 Disagree3

Curt weve had 3 bad games in 6 and was lucky against reading ,if you are happy with that fair enough,im not,its all about opinions.

rayzor

Agree1 Disagree0

Comfortable wins against wigan and newcastle

showed our typical chelsea spirit against reading and bounced back

very unlucky against city

average against queens park and got bossed by altheltico

as i said you cant expect us to play to our peak performance every game

curt

Agree2 Disagree2

Well i dont think weve played our best in any game yet, bounced back against reading,1 nil up at home to a championship side, that the spuds mullered yesterday, comfortable against wigan?curt i know you love cfc me to,but take of the rose tinted specs.

rayzor

Agree1 Disagree1

Ok firstly rayzor my glasses would be blue tinted not rose

your find we went 2-1 down to reading and bounced back so yes bounced back

you cant call reading a championship team thats a bit of an insult to them, theres a reason why there in this league

you got to remember how many games the whole squad has played in a short time including international games aswel

your acting like were in crisis rock bottom of the table or something

man city and united started worse than us there not panicing

curt

Agree0 Disagree1

Curt, we have a squad, we should expect to see pretty decent performances most of the time. If players aren't performing or are tired, rotate them. It's the 4th game into the season and we seem to have reverted to last years tactics already.

Agree1 Disagree0

The post under yours is what im saying curt, utd 1 point city2 points behind, please rtp again theres no panic in my post, but reading won promotion from championship and we was 1 up at home should never have been 2.1 behind, but reply of blue tinted glasses gave me a chuckle.

rayzor

Agree0 Disagree0

Rayzor don't waste your time on Curt, most of us understand what u r saying. Curt is being result driven, while u see the results but also the future dangers if we continue on the same path. Some fans, as long as get a result nothing else matters.

He is also reluctant join the 'slate RDM' discussion because alot of it centers on the old guard he keeps playing and Curt suks Lampard's d**k and doesn't like Torres instead of thinking about what's best for the team.

Then he makes excuses when the play is bad like, "those were exibition games and the players didn't go all out to win them". Or we 'shut it down' for and entire half and give up a lot of possesion after a 2 goal lead against good or bad opposition because of course that's what all the best clubs in the world do.

Agree3 Disagree2

The question is weather Man city, united, barca, or Madrid would have sent out a defensive sqaud against the mighty QPR

Agree1 Disagree0

Cheers lads, good to know people share my concerns for the future, like you very worried carrying on down this road.

rayzor

Agree1 Disagree0

Im not result driven

i say get off lamps back because of what hes done for us and the fact he was still our top goal scorer last year

if you must know i backed torres until now hes not good enough and never will be again

we had euro's, olympics, friendlies, glorified friendlies, international friendlies, international qualifiers, league games all in the space of 3 months if we rested all of them we would be playing u21 players

city and united are points behind us so whats your problem

if your going on one performance then we might aswel give the champion's league back so barca and munich can play for it

your a mug you dont know anything (not aimed at you rayzor i get your point just think its early days yet)

I've never beena fan of sturridge. But recently when he's came on he's made some excellent passes, and quick one two moving forward runs. Maybe we've got the striker we need for this formation, maybe he's been on the bench the whole time. BLUEBOY1

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Totally agree mate

torres still has tantrums as we saw on saturday do your job and you wont get subbed i think we need to start studge a bit and see what the better option upfront is

curt

Agree1 Disagree2

Still think we lack a more physically brave presence in the box -- for some games ... eg QPR and Stoke away --than either Torres or Sturridge offer. But agree that Sturridge does seem to have a less selfish attitude thus far this season which is promising. VBS

Agree0 Disagree0

^^^^ also agree with that

for example would you say falcao is ideal ?

if we sign falcao in january i wont mind if torres goes in all honesty hes not improved much being the main man now so cant see him improving much at all
